Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Tom Fuller, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mr. Bradly was born in Hereford, graduated from Hereford High School in 1947 and West Texas State College in 1951 with a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Arts. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a photographer and correctional officer. From 1950 until 1960, he worked for Carl McCaslin Lumber Company and from 1960 to 1990 he owned and operated Bill Bradly Photography. He helped organize and was a member of Deaf Smith County Sheriff's Reserve. In 1990, he became a correctional officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division. He served as treasurer and assistant Fire Chief of the Hereford Volunteer Fire Department from 1952 until 1978, served two terms as vice president while on the board of directors of Panhandle Community Services from 1981-89, and served two terms as Deaf Smith Precinct No. 1 County Commissioner. He was also the Deaf Smith Civil Defense Director from 1972-80. Mr. Bradly was a member and past master of Hereford Masonic Lodge No. 849 AF&AM, past district Deputy Grand Master for District 100 Grand Lodge of Texas AF&AM, a member of Amarillo York Rite Masonic Bodies, Texas Lodge of research and a past member of Hereford Noon Lions. He was a member of Professional Photographers of America and a member and past president of Panhandle Professional Photographers Association. He married Marcella Blue in 1948 at Hereford. Survivors include his wife; a son, Truitt Logan Bradly of Georgetown; two daughters, Janet Moody of Hereford and Jeannine Rusher of Ordway, Colo.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The body will not be available for viewing. The family will be at 110 Star Street in Hereford. Stewart Kirkpatrick TULIA - Stewart Kirkpatrick, 77, died Saturday, June 12, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor of First Baptist Church in Tulia, officiating. Arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born in Taylor County, moved to Tulia in 1924 and graduated from Tulia High School. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross while serving with the Navy during World War II. He was a farmer for over 50 years and a member of First Baptist Church. He married Annabelle Barbour in 1945 at Detroit. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jim Kirkpatrick of Tulia; a daughter, Martha Matzen of Ute Park, N.M.; a brother, B.T. Kirkpatrick of Mineral Wells; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Ella F. Lay BORGER - Ella F. Lay, 87, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tunis Schuurman of Gateway Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Mrs. Lay was born in Bonita. In 1938, she moved from Wheeler to Borger, where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She retired after 22 years from Jim Hess printers. She married John Thomas Lay in 1943 at Borger. Billie Edward Haden SPEARMAN - Billie Edward Haden, 68, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Hansford Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. Haden was born in Pampa and lived in the area for 55 years. He was a maintenance supervisor for the Spearman Independent School District from 1965 until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Martha Cayton in 1952 at Spearman. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmy Haden of Dallas and Billy Ray Haden of Amarillo; a sister, Gladys Cunningham of Fritch; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hansford Hospice; or Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center; or to a favorite charity. Clara Mae Hicks FLOYDADA - Clara Mae Hicks, 90, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in New Salem Primitive Baptist Church with Tom Taylor officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Huckabay Cemetery, north of Stephenville. Arrangements are by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mrs. Hicks was born in Stephenville, where she attended schools. In 1957, she moved from Crosby County to Floydada, where she worked as a nurse in several area hospitals and the Floydada Nursing Home until her retirement. She was a member of New Salem Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Linnie M. Jones of Floydada. Amarillo Evelyn M. Hudspeth Evelyn M. Hudspeth, 76, died Friday, June 11, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at 7404 Burleson, in Austin, with her brother, the Rev. Albert Elam, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. Mrs. Hudspeth was born in Austin. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels Program. She married Clayton Lee Hudspeth in 1954. He died in 1991. Her daughter, Jacqueline Fails, died in 1996. Survivors include a son, Lewis Zink of Amarillo; two sister, Doris Rogers and Margaret Rogers, both of Austin; three brothers, Bill Elam, Ernest Elam and Albert Elam, all of Austin; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Rosemary Huseman Rosemary Huseman, 45, of Amarillo, died Saturday, June 12, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Gazebo, 2201 S. Washington Street, with Cpl. Michael Ecker of the Amarillo Police Department and Ken Cargle, Christian minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Huseman was born in Denison and lived for 30 years in Amarillo, where she was a dispatcher for the Amarillo Police Department. She graduated from Denison High School, attended West Texas State University and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Canyon. Survivors include a son, Keith Morris of Pampa; a daughter, Angela Verity of Kileen; her mother, Doris Shelby of Denison; three brothers, Terry Shelby of Decatur, Lesley Shelby and Steve Shelby, both of Denison; three sisters, Jimmie Ramsey of Denison, Eilene Washington of Austin and Jennifer Key of Houston; and three grandchildren. Canyon Jerry Dunlap Jerry Dunlap, 31, of Canyon, died Saturday, June 12, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Noblett, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, and Dr. Charles Price, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Lefors Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Dunlap was born in Kermit and was a 1986 graduate from Kermit High School. He received a bachelor of arts in general studies from West Texas A&M University and was employed by Lincare in Amarillo. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he was involved with the Jail Ministries. A daughter, Katherine, died in 1990. He married Valarie Jernigan in 1989 at White Deer. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Meaghan Dunlap and McKenzie Dunlap, both of Canyon; three brothers, Richard L. Dunlap of Andrews, William P. Dunlap of Kermit and Terry L. Ribera TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Mary C. Ribera, 87, died Saturday, June 12, 1999, in Albuquerque. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in St. Anne's Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. John C. Daniel as celebrant. Burial will be in the family plot in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Ribera was born in Newkirk and lived in Tucumcari for many years. She also lived in Tucson, Ariz. before moving to Albuquerque. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic church. Three sons, Petrolino "Lido" Ribera, Stephen Rivera and Alfredo "Freddie" Rivera, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Merced Ribera, of Albuquerque; four daughters, Rita Rivera and Maryann Maestas, both of Albuquerque, June Gutierrez of Tucson and Toni Jarry of Las Cruces; three brothers; four sisters; 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from noon until 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mary E. Reed CLOVIS, N.M. - Mary E. Reed, 93, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Grady Baptist Church at Grady with the Revs. Robert Tucker and Doug Brooks officiating. Burial will be at Grady Cemetery by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Reed was born in Bolivar, Mo. and moved to Roosevelt when she was young. She attended school at Rogers, graduated from Portales High School, attended Las Vegas Normal College and taught at Wheatland. She worked as a farmer in Wheatland, Rogers and Claud and as a bookkeeper for Alexanders Food in Clovis. She was a member of Parkland Baptist Church. In 1988, she was honored as the first Pioneer Woman of the Year for the state of New Mexico at the state fair. She married Robert Reed in 1925 at Farwell, Texas. He died in 1970. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Queener and a grandson, Randy Chitwood. Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Stout of Grady and Irma Chitwood of Clovis; three sons, Weldon Reed and Paul Reed, both of Amarillo, and Marvin Reed of Dallas; a sister, Helen Brandon of Clovis; special friend, Bill Hodges of Broadview, N.M.; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Grady Scholarship Fund; or to any children's home.
