Her body was donated to Texas Tech University Medical School. Arrangements are were Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Olmsted was born and raised in Plainview. For 37 years, she was employed as a licensed vocational nurse. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Ralph Olmsted in 1964 at Lubbock. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Glenda P. Waters and Diana Kay Olmsted, both of Plainview, and Andrea Hope Morrell of Yuma, Ariz.; a son, Aarron Arthur Olmsted of Provo, Utah; three brothers, Charles Sweeney of Olathe, Kan., Kenneth Randolph Hill of Moore, Okla., and Weldon Hill; and seven grandchildren. Mr. Hays was born in Thayer, Mo., and had lived in Stinnett for 57 years. He was a retired pumper for Phillips Petroleum and a member of Stinnett United Methodist Church. His wife, Gussie Hays, died in 1977. Survivors include a sister, Ethel Gill of Anderson, Calif., and several nephews and nieces. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr. Mark Durrett and the Rev. Tammy Passmore officiating. Cremation arrangements will be by Rix Funeral Directors. Mr. Durrett was born in Goodnight and attended schools in Melrose, N.M. After receiving a bachelor of arts degree in 1960 and a master's degree in 1963 from Eastern New Mexico University, he taught school in Lovington, N.M. In 1985, he retired in Southern California. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He married Wilma Gregory in 1950 at Grady, N.M. His daughter, Pennye McDowell, died in 1994. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion drill team of Post No. 224. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mr. Kuder was born in Baca County, Colo., and had lived in Dumas since 1945. He was the owner and operator of Polar Pantry Meat Packing Plant, an ice skating rink and a heating and air conditioning business. He served with the Navy during World War II and was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Earline Scott in 1962 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, Harry Kuder of Baytown; a daughter, Anita Dye of Dumas; a stepson, Ira Scott McDaniel of Seattle; two stepdaughters, Beverly Ann Kinslow of Amarillo and Camelia Poyner of Fritch; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Paul White officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Ms. Walker was born in Dumas and moved to Amarillo in 1967 from Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1974, she received her nursing degree from West Texas State University. She was a pediatric nurse practitioner at the Women's and Children's Center and a member of Olsen Park Church of Christ. Survivors include a son, David Walker of Amarillo; a brother, Robert Walker of Dalhart; and a sister, Patsy Gregersen of Amarillo. Mr. Kulow was born in Domby, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1951. During World War II, he served on the Columbus and the Nevada. Mr. Kulow retired from the Navy and later retired as a floor covering contractor. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1475 and the Moose Lodge. He married Doris Meadows in 1955 at Tucumcari, N.M. He had worked at Valcom Computers, Sunbelt Cold Storage, Freezer Services Inc. of Texas and Gearhardt & Puckett, CPAs. He was self-employed, providing computer accounting software support and assistance with accounting and tax services to corporate, partnership, estate and individual clients. Nathan Pipkin, 73, of both Amarillo and Midland, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999. Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Monday in St. Paul United Methodist Church at Amarillo with the Revs. Norman Grigsby and John F. McClean officiating. Burial will be in McAdoo Cemetery at McAdoo by Pipkin Funeral Home of Midland. Local arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Pipkin was born in McAdoo, where he graduated from high school. He received a bachelor's degree from McMurry College in Abilene, a master's in religious education from Scarritt University and attended Vanderbilt University. As a United Methodist educator, he served churches in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and Mexico. He was a veteran of World War II and spent time at the Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Amarillo. He married Shirley in 1995. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lee Pipkin of San Angelo and Scott Pipkin of Quinlan; a stepson, Chris Stephens of Canyon; a brother, Lawrence Pipkin of Smithville; a sister, Emma Winegar of The Colony; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in University Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Mountain officiating and Terrill Mitchell assisting. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery by Wheeler Mortuary. Mrs. Hargrove was born in McCaulley, Texas, attended school in Jenkins, and graduated from Portales High School in 1935. After attending ENMU Junior College and Texas Tech University, she graduated from New Mexico Normal University in Las Vegas in 1939 with a degree in English. She taught school for 35 years. She served in youth, music and education director positions in church organizations and was a member of the University Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Rick Hargrove of Shamrock, Texas and Mickey Hargrove of Portales; a brother, Vernon Rogers of San Angelo, Texas; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Beaver First Baptist Church with Don Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery by Clark Funeral Service. Mrs. Hewatt was born in Choctaw. She moved with her family when she was 2 years old to Beaver County, where she attended school. She was a homemaker and worked in the Beaver County Nursing Home. She was a past member of the Rebekah Lodge and attended both the Church of God and the Baptist Church. She married Richard Hewatt in 1935 at Beaver, Okla. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Pat Randall of Spearman, Texas, Shirley Fleetwood of McCloud, Vaudine Titus of Hugoton, Kan., and Rena Jo Hinesley of Okemah; two sons, Rick Hewatt of Blythe, Calif., and Tony Lee of Beaver; a sister, Ruby Brown of Logan, N.M.; 15 grandchildren; 27 greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A celebration of his life was held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in his home. Arrangements were by All Faith's Funeral Home. Mr. Nunn was born in Panhandle. He had served as mayor of Panhandle, a position he was elected to by a write-in vote. He taught Sunday school and was active in politics. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, Riley Nunn; four daughters, Susan Lyons, Karen Escobedo, Peggy Schatz and Debbie Opdahl; and seven grandchildren.
