Mr. Montes was born in Coyame, Mexico. He married Rosa Rivera in 1945 in Mexico. He farmed and ranched most of his life and moved to Pampa two years ago from Ojinaga, Mexico. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Maria Rivera of Pampa; three foster children, Rene, Rosa Elida and Manuel; four sisters, Flora Montes and Manuela Montes, both of Odessa, Leonor Tagle of Mexico City, Mexico, and Paula Montes of Chihuahua, Mexico; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren. Julie Flores HEREFORD - Julie Flores, 24, died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Domingo Castillo, pastor, the Rev. She graduated from Adrian High School at Adrian in 1993. While in high school, she was manager of the basketball team, served on the student council, was a member of F.F.A., and was in the University Interscholastic League contest One-Act Play. She was a homemaker and attended San Jose Catholic Church. She was a charter member and involved in starting the Busy Beavers Senior Citizens in Childress. Several years ago, she was crowned Old Settlers Queen. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church in Wellington. She married Royal S. King in 1937 at Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Barney and Tommy King. Survivors include a son, Joe King of Childress; a brother, Charlie Corgill of Childress; three grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Willie D. Dunning MATADOR - Willie D. Dunning, 89, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Matador with her son-in-law, Dr. C.H. Murphy, director of Missions Tryon Evergreen of Conroe, and Royce Jennings, interim pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in East Mound Cemetery in Matador by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Dunning was born in Clarksville. In 1926, he moved to Whiteflat from Antlers, Okla., then moved to Matador in 1943. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Matador Senior Citizens Center. In 1974, Mr. Dunning retired as owner and operator of Dixie Dog Drive Inn and 7-11 grocery store. He also had been employed as a service station attendant. He married Nora Belle Stephens in 1933 at Whiteflat. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth Dunning of Plainview; a daughter, Raynita Murphy of Conroe; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Wagner was born in Peaster in Parker County. In 1930, she moved to Pampa where she was the first president of the Pampa Garden Club and past worthy matron of Pampa Chapter No. 65 Order of Eastern Star. She was a homemaker and member of Central Baptist Church. She married Victor E. "Skeet" in 1930 at Sayre, Okla. He died in 1990. Galloway DALHART - Fred L. Galloway, 74, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mr. Kennedy was born in Lakeview and was a Donley County resident for most of his life. He was a Marine veteran and member of Memphis American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He had been a farmer and rancher. He married Patricia Ann Weaver in 1960 at Brice. Cecil L. Shanks WELLINGTON - Cecil L. Shanks, 77, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Bowie Street Church of Christ with Kevin Rhodes, minister, and Terry Hightower, minister of Farwell Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery with flag folding ceremony by Veterans of Foreign Wars Glynne Moore Post No. 6439. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Born in Loco, Mr. Shanks graduated from Wellington High School in 1941. During World War II, he served with the military police in the Army in the Philippines. After the war, Mr. Shanks farmed and ranched until his retirement in 1984. He then helped his wife with Wellington Florist. In 1981, Mr. Shanks was named by the Salt Fork Soil Conservation District as Farmer/Rancher of the Year. He was a charter member of the VFW Glynne Moore Post No. 6439 and a member of the Church of Christ. He married Alliene Lentz in 1941 at Wellington. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Peggy Shanks Hendrix of Amarillo and Barbara Shanks Penick of Altus, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and a greatgrandson. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Enos was born and raised in Ryan, Okla., where she attended school. In 1952, she moved to Plainview. She was a volunteer worker for the Eleanor Griffin Training Center and Faith In Sharing House. Mrs. Enos attended Calvary Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She was president of the Residence Council at Heritage Home. She married Woodrow Enos in 1942 at Waurika, Okla. He died in 1989. Francis Howard Simpson Francis Howard Simpson, 82, of Lubbock and formerly of Amarillo, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Simpson was born in Texas City and lived in Amarillo for 31 years before moving to Lubbock. During World War II, he served as a Russian interpreter for the Navy. Mr. Simpson was a long-time member of Kiwanis, a member of Tascosa County Club and St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was a CPA for Brown-Graham and Co. He married Elah Belle Foster in 1937 at Oklahoma City. She died in 1998. Survivors include a son, Ron Simpson of Augusta, Ga.; a daughter, Patti Munoz of Lubbock; a sister, Bue Cooper of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. They moved to Clovis in 1939. She and her husband farmed and raised cattle until his death in 1993. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Wooten of Roswell; three sons, Allen Kelley and Leon Kelley, both of Clovis and J.C. Kelley of Corsicana, Texas; a brother, R.F. She had been an active volunteer for Salvation Army before she moved to Genesis Elder Care Mountain View Center in 1996. She married James E. Coleman in 1950 at Rutland. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973 and by a son, Joseph Coleman, in 1990. Survivors include two daughters, Gloria "Jean" Burney of Amarillo and Suzanne Lethbridge of Rutland; six sons, Robert W. Pearo Sr. and Donald Coleman, both of W.
