Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Morrison Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. B.R. Brummett, pastor of Saint Johns Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Miller was born in Henderson, Tenn., and moved to Dumas in 1936. He was a carpenter and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America for 50 years. During World War II, he served with the Navy. He married Helen M. Henson in 1939 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jim Miller of Spartanburg, S.C., Jay Miller of DeSoto and Cliff Miller and Roger Miller, both of Dumas; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News Nov. 15, 1999 Ruby Millican PADUCAH - Ruby Millican, 67, a former resident of Paducah, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, in New Mexico. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Paducah Garden of Memories with Elder Francis Scott, pastor of Primitive Baptist Church at Tulia officiating. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home. Mrs. Millican was born in Paducah. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of Primitive Baptist Church in Roswell, N.M. She married Allen Millican in 1949 at Paducah. He died in 1984. She was also preceded in death by two sons; Roy Lee, in 1951 and Kemmey Ray, in 1984. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Millican of Hope, N.M.; a daughter, Neva McDaniel of Portales, N.M.; a sister, Doris Glidewell of Paducah; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Truman Ledbetter, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Wellington by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Eads was born in Greenville and was a longtime resident of Wellington before moving to Clarendon in 1985. For 28 years, she worked as a nurses aide at the Wellington Care Center until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Wellington. She married William Artford Eads in 1931 at Wellington. He died in 1975. Survivors include a son, Jack Eads of Clarendon; two sisters, Mildred Housden of Clarendon, Lou Ella Steen of Plainview; two grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Memphis Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Rhodes and Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Craghead was born in Springtown and was a homemaker. In 1938, she moved to Hall County and in 1986, to Corsicana. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Lakeview, the Plaska Needle Club and painted with the Memphis Artists. She married Collins Bryant Craghead in 1935 at Plaska. He died in 1984. Her son, Roy Monroe Craghead, died in 1945. Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Lewis of Corsicana; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Vaughan was born in Cook County. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Silverton Senior Citizens and was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She married Troy Cox in 1944 at Silverton. He died in 1953. She married Gene Vaughan in 1965. He died in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Latresa Minyard of Silverton; a brother, Berton Hughes of Waco; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Mrs. Denham was born in Miami and was a longtime resident of Wheeler before moving to Pampa in 1988. She worked for Dr. Glenn Walker and was a member of Trinity Fellowship in Pampa. She married Charley D. Denham in 1927 at Wheeler. He died in 1987. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lillian Edwards, in 1977, and three grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Charles Virgil "Jim" Denham of Bullhead City, Ariz., Clifford Eugene "Dod" Denham of Ramona, Calif., and Ray Denham of Pampa; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Sargeant Garrett was born in Houston and retired from the Potter County Sheriff's Department in 1985 after 22 years of service as a deputy sheriff. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ. He married Betty Lou Hastings in 1958 at Corpus Christi. Survivors include his wife; a stepdaughter, Willie Mae Brown of Corpus Christi; and a brother, Elvinis Garrett of Houston. He wintered in Zapata for 27 years, attended Lakefront Congregational Church and was a Baptist. He married Verna Mae Steward in 1931 at Tucumcari, N.M. Mrs. Bidwell was born in Cooke County and moved to Amarillo in 1937 from McClain. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Her husband, Frank Jackson Bidwell, died in 1980. She is survived by a son, James Bidwell of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery at Muleshoe. Mrs. Ayers was born in Hollis, Okla. She was a County Commissioner in Bailey County, a dormitory supervisor at West Texas State University in Canyon and an assistant manager of an apartment complex during the 1970s in Austin. In 1925, she married Tom R. Morgan at Clarendon. He died in 1958. In 1978, she married Clarence Ayers at Clarendon. He died in 1996. Her daughter, Betty Ann Wagnon, died in 1956. Survivors include a daughter, Colleen Freeman of Lubbock; a sister, Ethel McKinney of Amarillo; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
