Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Booker Friends Church with the Rev. Brad Mills and the Rev. Butch Heron officiating. Burial was in Heart Cemetery by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker. Mr. Coxwell was born in Miami, Fla., and grew up in Booker where he graduated from high school in 1960. He was employed at Western Auto until 1978 when he opened Mel's TV and Appliance in Perryton. In 1995, he was employed by Circuit City Appliance in Amarillo, then was transferred to Loveland. Mr. Coxwell attended the Full Gospel Church in Perryton. He was a member of the Booker Booster Club, Booker Jaycees and the Booker City Council. He married Carol Kennell in 1959 at Booker. Survivors include his wife; a son, Shane Coxwell of Denver; a daughter, Rhonda Janzen of Perryton; a brother, Norman Coxwell of Booker; and eight grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to Melvin Coxwell Fund, with Good Samaritan Funeral Service acting as custodian of the fund. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Pampa. Mrs. Maiden was born in Erick, Okla., and had been a longtime Borger resident. She was a retired sales clerk and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Maiden, in 1982. Survivors include a son, Bill Maiden of Borger; two daughters, Joyce Gray of Pampa and Margaret Van Huss of Fort Worth; a sister, Lora Dale of Muleshoe; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 16, 1999 Amos Tiger DUMAS - Amos Tiger, 68, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Grace Baptist Church in Wetumka, Okla., with the Rev. Wallace Gambler, pastor, officiating. Local arrangements were by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Tiger was born in Hanna, Okla., and had lived in Wetumka for 36 years before moving to Dumas. He was an Army veteran and a truck driver for 25 years. She worked at McIlhany Dry Goods, ran a malt shop in the 1950s and was employed in the school cafeteria. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Garden Club. She married Clarence Roy Bailey in 1918 at Forestburg. He died in 1972. Survivors include a son, C.R. Mrs. Clark was born in Duncan, Okla., and was a longtime resident of Memphis. She lived in Oklahoma and moved to Guthrie two years ago. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Lakeview. She married Quilla N. Clark in 1941 at Silverton. He preceded her in death. Mr. Gonzales was born in Rocky Ford, Colo., and moved to Muleshoe in 1960. He was a farm laborer and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He married Adelina Garcia in 1948 at Rocky Ford. She died in 1988. Ron Brunson, pastor of New Covenant Church of Plainview, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. White was born in Memphis where she graduated from high school. She attended West Texas State College. After her marriage, she moved to Plainview. Mrs. White worked in the family grocery business, White's Grocery. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and worked in the nursery. She was a charter member of the Plainview Red Cross, served as president of Parent Teachers Association, was a leader in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, and was a member of the Pink Ladies. She was a member of New Covenant Church. She married Charles Emmett White in 1939 at Memphis. He died in 1973. Survivors include two daughters, Almeda Ann Wilson of Quanah and Camelia Sue Taylor of Lubbock; two sons, Charles L. White of Rockport and Michael E. White of Seattle; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 16, 1999 Amarillo Milton J. Brown Milton J. Brown, 76, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Chapel with Coy Wylie, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors in Dumas. Mr. Brown was born in Waurika, Okla., and lived in Amarillo most of his life. During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps. He retired from Asarco after 30 years and worked at Forest Hill Elementary School for 10 years. Mr. Brown was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He moved to Brush, Colo., a month ago. He married Wanda Mae Driskill in 1965 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Brown of Arlington; a daughter, Diana Koskinken of New Castle, Colo.; a brother, Wayland Brown of Stratford; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She attended Clarendon Junior College then received her bachelor of science and master's of education degrees from West Texas A&M University. Mrs. Heflin taught at a boarding school on the Navajo Reservation and in Amarillo from 1960 until 1986, primarily at Western Plateau Elementary School. She was an active member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church and Delta Kappa Gamma. Survivors include her husband, Frank Heflin; a son, John Miller Morris Jr. of Austin; and a granddaughter. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Snell was born in Harrisburg, Pa., and lived in Clovis until moving to Lubbock in 1986. For 33 years he worked in the sales and marketing division of Southwestern Public Service Co. He was a lifetime member of the Clovis-Portales Elks Lodge and the Clovis Evening Lions Club. Miss Beck was born near Kremlin, Indian Territory. When she was four, she moved to the family's homestead near Boyd community. For most of her life she lived on the homestead and in Beaver. She was a member of the Beaver United Methodist Church, Women's Christian Temperance Union, United Methodist Women and the Martha's. Survivors include a niece, Marilyn Anderson of Balko; a nephew, Royce Rodgers of Balko; three great nieces and a great nephew; and a great-great niece and a great-great nephew. Mrs. Anderson was born in Eastland County and was a longtime Levelland resident. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Levelland and moved to Amarillo a year ago. She was a homemaker. She married Charles Anderson in 1924 at Yoakum. He died in 1971. Survivors include two sons, Ray Anderson of Weatherford and Clyde Anderson of Levelland; a daughter, Latrell Appling of Amarillo; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild.
