Georgia St. Mr. Saunders was born in Memphis, Texas, and moved to Amarillo in 1960 from Childress. He graduated from Memphis High School in 1950 and attended Clarendon Junior College. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for J. Lee Milligan Co., where he had served as vice-president. He also was an estimator for the company. Mr. Saunders was a member of San Jacinto Masonic Lodge, Khiva Shrine Temple, and Coulter Road Baptist Church. He married Sibbie Jouett in 1955 at Memphis. Survivors include his wife; a son, Johnny Saunders of Amarillo; four daughters, DeNita Andersen of Amarillo, Kyla Miller of Hobbs, N.M., Stacey Gray of Graham, and Samantha Collins of Plainview; three sisters, Drucilla Davis of Wellington, La Trece Butler of Graham, and Sevilla Lemmons of Granbury; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Carter Jr., 51, of Amarillo, died Monday, June 14, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Paramount Baptist Church with Dr. Gil Lain, the Rev. C.N. Shad Rue and the Rev. F.M. In 1963, he moved to Amarillo where he graduated from Tascosa High School in 1966. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1971, receiving a bachelor's degree in management. He married Rene D. Baker in 1969 at Lubbock. Mr. Carter was employed as a computer programmer for West Texas A&M University. He had worked for the South Plains Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Texas Department of Agriculture and Lawrence Systems Inc. Mr. Carter was the owner of Grain and Commodity Measuring Service and Cimarron Technologies. He was a member and a deacon at Paramount Baptist Church and Alpha Kappa Psi, an honorary business fraternity. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jessica R. Cowan of Boston, and Bethany D. Carter of Lubbock; his parents, Gearld L. Carter Sr. and Lorene Hall Carter, of Amarillo; and a sister, Jerilyn Laramore of Panhandle. Georgia St. Mr. Sanchez was born in Kinippa. He was a farmer and rancher in Lelia Lake. In 1989, he moved to Amarillo where he was a member of Trinity Fellowship. Survivors include two brothers, Jose Sanchez of Amarillo and Ramon Sanchez of Lelia Lake; and six sisters, Claudia Jaramillo of Amarillo, Felipa Rodriquez of Dimmitt, Angelina Cavazos of Rock Springs, Dominga Castillo of Plainview, and Tomasa Luna and Lydia Ruiz, both of Uvalde. The family will be at 2404 N. Hickory. Rubye McReynolds Beck Rubye McReynolds Beck, 96, of Amarillo, died Monday, June 14, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Central Church of Christ with Dick Marcear of the church and Leonard Waggoner officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mrs. Beck was born in Greyson County and attended West Texas State University. A homemaker, she was one of the founding members of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She was a member of Central Church of Christ and TED. In 1923, she married Edwin McReynolds who died in 1964. She married Ben Beck in 1972. He died in January. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Edwin O'Brien and two sons, Joseph Dickey McReynolds and Robert Norman McReynolds. Survivors include two stepsons, Raymond Beck of Fort Worth and Jerry Beck of Amarillo; a brother, N.L. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79176-0001. Ben Coffey Ben Coffey, 82, of Amarillo, died Monday, June 14, 1999. Georgia St. Mr. Coffey was born in Aubrey. He owned and operated a service station and had been a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church since 1950. He married Florine Coffey in 1940 at Marietta, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Ben Coffey. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Gayla Bloxom of Lubbock; a brother, D.A. Coffey of Aubrey; and a granddaughter. Mr. Cannon was born in Harmon, Okla., and graduated from Dumas High School. He attended Texas Tech University. He had lived in Dumas for more than 50 years and had lived in Amarillo since 1987. Mr. Cannon worked for Southwestern Public Service. He also worked for Diamond Shamrock as an electrician/field electrical superintendent for 27 years. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. He married June White in 1963 at Dumas. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Cannon of St. Anthony, Idaho; five daughters, Carolyn Harlan of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Linda Diane Smith of Amarillo, Janet Chamberlain of Winchester, Calif., Dianne Lovell of Dumas and Teri Oliver of Amarillo; 22 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church by the Rev. Sotero Sena. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Lopez was born in Sombrio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio Lopez Sr. in 1988; and a son, Raymond Lopez, in 1990. Mrs. Rainey was born in Haskell County and had lived in the Weinert community for 68 years. She was a homemaker and member of Weinert First Baptist Church. She married Russel Jonathan Rainey in 1931 at Haskell. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Lora Lois Timberlake of Houston, Rubye Joyce Anderson of Weinert and Janice Margaret Isbell of Potosi; two sons, Luther Lewis "Bud" Rainey of Friona; and William Russel "Bill" Rainey of Abilene; a brother, John Morton Hamilton of Lyford; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel of Weatherford. Ms. Kimzey was born in San Angelo. She was a legal secretary and member of Peaster Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Tiffany Moore of Fort Worth; her mother and stepfather, Wilma Bergan and Noah Heaton, both of Abilene; three sisters, Cherry Vallandingham of Big Lake, Connie Moore of Sweetwater, Beverly Thomas of Amarillo; and three brothers, Kenny Heaton of Clyde, Norman Heaton of Owasso, Okla., and Finis Smith of Big Lake. Oklahoma Verdella M. Fry KEYES, Okla. - Verdella M. Fry, 81, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Keyes United Methodist Church with the Rev. Del Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Willowbar Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mrs. Fry was born east of Keyes and attended school at Bunker Hill and Keyes. She lived in Keyes for most of her life except from 1937 until 1941 when she was in Los Angeles. She was a member of Keyes United Methodist Church. Her first marriage was to George V. Ray in 1934. They later divorced. Her second marriage was to Robert E. Fry in 1937 at Lomita, Calif. He died in 1983. Survivors include a son, Russel Fry of Denver; a daughter, LaVerne Hiner of Lawrence, Kan.; two sisters, Nadine Fulbright of Springfield, Colo., and Nina Tidwell of Dalhart; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Area Larry Richardson DALHART - Larry Richardson, 49, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999. Private family services were held Tuesday. Arrangements were by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Richardson was born in Neosho, Mo. He served in the Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with bronze stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, DVR Mech. Badge, 2O/S Bars, Marksman Rifle and Army Commendation Medal. He worked for Continental Grain for 27 years, including Colorado Beef in Lamar, Colo., before moving to Dalhart with XIT Feeders. He married Gwen Scofield in 1981 at Rocky Ford, Colo. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Shana Richardson and Melissa Gonzales, both of Dalhart; two sons, Brandon Eagen of Amarillo and Keith Richardson of Lamar, Colo.; his father, Harold J. Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mr. Tipps was born in Cushion and had lived in Lakeview since 1960. He was a farmer. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Gageby Cemetery with the Rev. Alberta Helton, pastor of the Reydon Community Church, officiating. Mr. Wyant was born in Colony, Okla., and moved to the Briscoe area in the early 1940s. An Army veteran, he served in the Korean War. He attended the New Life Assembly of God Church in Pampa and was a former member of the Top O'Texas Rodeo board of directors. For 13 years, Mr. Wyant worked for the Hobart Ranch near Canadian, then worked for the Albert "Tennie" Reynolds ranch north of Pampa. For the past 10 years, he worked for the Andrew Smith Ranch. He married Earlene Frost in 1960 at Pampa. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Sam Wyant and Johnnie Wyant, both of Pampa; four brothers, Earl Wyant of Boone, Colo., Walter Wyant of Newport, Ore., Benny Wyant of Pampa and Eugene Wyant of Sterling, Colo.; two sisters, Leona Miller of Eakly, Okla., and Jean Meadows of Wheeler; and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Richardson was born in Osage County, Okla., and moved to Miami in 1957. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Miami. She married Roy Virgil Richardson in 1934 in Rawlston, Okla. He died in 1971. Hughes in Amarillo. Mr. Niblett was born in Calvert and was a World War II veteran of the Army. A former resident of Wellington, he had been a Pampa resident for 55 years. He was a member of the Open Door Church of God in Christ. Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Mae Niblett; two sons, Joe Niblett of Monahans and Willie Niblett of Levelland; two daughters, Charlene and Donna Brown of Arlington; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Earlie B. Johnston PLAINVIEW - Earlie B. Johnston, 71, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of the Plainview area, died Sunday, June 13, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. A.C. Hamilton, retired Baptist minister of Plainview, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Mr. Johnston was born in Lockney. Following graduation from Lockney High School in 1944, he served in the Army for two years. Mr. Johnston recently retired as a land surveyor with John West Engineering in Hobbs, N.M. Until 1960, he farmed in Edmonson and Tulia. He married Dee Duncan in 1967 at Plainview. She died in 1987. Survivors include three daughters, Gayle Jones of Memphis, Tenn., Treca Craig of Houston and Lesa Page of Monarch, Colo.; a son, Steve Johnston of Weatherford, Okla.; a stepson, Wes Duncan of Odessa; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
