Arrangements are by Warford-Walker Mortuary Inc., 509 N. Hughes St. Mrs. Trotter was born in Cooper, and moved to Amarillo in 1944. She was a cook for the Lee T. Bivins-Lovell family for 22 years. She was Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Trotter, and a son, Elbert Trotter Jr. Survivors include two sons, Charles R. Trotter of Oregon City, Ore., and Jo Don Trotter of Los Angeles; a sister, Helen Thomas of Amarillo; two brothers, Fred W. Kindall Jr. and Floyd Kindall of Dallas; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. The family will be at 1305 N. Washington St. Merlin Crosslin Merlin Crosslin, 58, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 10, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. David Hill Sr., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes. Mr. Crosslin was born in Lockesburg, Ark. He attended Frederick Douglas Elementary School and graduated from J.J. Rhoades High School in Arkansas. He had been a truck driver for Levi Strauss and Co., and was working as an apprentice mechanic for Brown Pontiac. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Quitaque. Survivors include his wife, Gracie; three daughters, Gina Crosslin of Houston, and Dana Crosslin and Amber Norman, both of Amarillo; two sons, Mark Anthony Crosslin and Brian Norman, both of Amarillo; three brothers, Oscar Crosslin of Dallas, Darrell Crosslin of Plainview, and Bobby Crosslin of Amarillo; two sisters, Margaret Crosslin of Plainview, and Teressa Hill of Houston; and five grandchildren. The family will be at 2418 Redwood St. Peggy T. Anderson Peggy T. Anderson, 74, of Amarillo, died Thursday, April 15, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5401 Bell St., with Bishop William J. Boswell Jr. of Amarillo Second Ward and T. She attended Northern Oklahoma Junior College and the University of Oklahoma. She married Howard C. Anderson in 1943 at Ponca City, Okla. In 1955, they moved to Billings, Mont., and to Amarillo in 1997. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. She was preceded in death by a son, David Anderson, in 1968. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Margaret Middleton of Midland and Elizabeth Blaser of Rexburg, Idaho; two sons, Howard C. Anderson Jr. of Salt Lake City and James W. Anderson of Amarillo; 21 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Cuba Nell Stephenson Cuba Nell Stephenson, 68, of Amarillo, died Friday, April 16, 1999. Georgia St. Mrs. Stephenson was born in Hillsboro. She was a homemaker. She married Glen F. Stephenson in 1949. He died in 1981. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Hollinger was born and raised in Amarillo. He was a 1972 graduate of Tascosa High School and was offered a baseball scholarship to Panhandle State University. After graduation, he was in a diving accident and was left a quadriplegic. Mr. Hollinger graduated from Texas A&I University. He was a licensed nursing home administrator and a member of Paramount Baptist Church. Survivors include his father, Lewis H. Hollinger of Amarillo; a sister, Debbie Smith of Amarillo; three brothers, Gerry Hollinger of Amarillo, Jack Hollinger of Miami, Fla., and Stacey Hollinger of Euless. In 1980, she retired as owner and manager of rental property. She was a member of Fairview Assembly of God Church. She married Clovis E. Morris in 1928 at Wolfe City. He died in 1983. Survivors include a son, Joe A. Morris Sr. of Amarillo; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. The family will be at 3911 Puckett. They suggest memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. Joe Ann Bridges Joe Ann Bridges, 70, of Amarillo, died Friday, April 16, 1999. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home of Canyon. Mrs. Bridges was born in Perryton. She was a licensed vocational nurse and a member of the Baptist church. She married Billy Bob Bridges in 1947 at Portales, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988 and a son, Kent Bridges, in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Casey of Amarillo; a sister, Ella Ray Carter of Waka; two brothers, Kenneth Kutch of Sarasota, Fla., and Elva Kutch of Caldwell; three grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. Lyle Russell Bliss Lyle Russell Bliss, 83, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle with the Rev. Robert E. Field, pastor of Southeast Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Bliss was born in Tekamah, Neb., and was an Army veteran of World War II. He owned a Ford dealership in Blair and was a member of Masonic Lodge in Tekamah. He had lived in Amarillo for 30 years where he was a sales manager for Niagara. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert N. Hayward, in 1973. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Bliss; three daughters, Susan M. Hayward of Denver, Carol L. Chatfield of Belleville, Ark., and Sari L. Arbuckle of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. Wallace, 77, of Canyon, formerly of Big Spring, died Thursday, April 15, 1999, in Amarillo. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Myers and Smith Funeral Home at Big Spring. Burial will be Monday in Trinity Memorial Park at Big Spring. Mrs. Wallace was born near Paris, Texas. She married Floyd Wallace in 1938 at Colorado City, where they lived until 1960. While in Colorado City she was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. She also was involved in churches her husband pastored in Garden City, Snyder, Clint and El Paso. They moved to Howard County in 1978 from El Paso. In Big Spring, she was a member of First Baptist Church. She worked as an accountant in El Paso and Big Spring. In Big Spring, she worked for Lee, Reynolds and Welch and American Well Service. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. Following his death, she moved to Canyon. Survivors include three daughters, Judy Woodall of Canyon, Shelia Salmon of Altoona, Pa., and Debbie Lindsey of Andrews; two sisters, Estel Howard of Orlando, Fla., and Valree Stephenson of Woodland Hills, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. New Mexico Mary Edelman TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Mary Edelman, 97, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999. Mass will be celebrated at noon today in St. Anne's Catholic Church by the Rev. John C. Daniel. Burial will be in the family plot of Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Edelman was born in Carrizito in the New Mexico Territory and had been living in El Paso. She was a former resident of Tucumcari. She was associated with Edelman Grocery on North First Street in Tucumcari for many years. She was a member of the Catholic church and of the Mount Carmel Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edelman, in 1957. Survivors include three sons, Pete Gonzales of El Paso, Ray Gonzales of Tucson, Ariz., and Bennie Gonzales of Madera, Calif.; a daughter, Gloria Rivera of Hollywood, Calif.; a niece, Eva Shinn of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren; 23 grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home until service time today. Area Chuck Rogers CHILDRESS - Chuck Rogers, 46, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Battle Creek, Mich. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Robertson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home of Childress. Mr. Rogers was born in Fort Worth. He was an assistant manager of a carpet store. He served in the Navy and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his father, Charles Rogers Sr. of Childress; his mother, Barbara Crouch Rogers of Pampa; stepmother, Nelda Rogers; a son, Christopher Rogers of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Robin Childress of Bay St. Louis, Miss.; a brother, Paul Rogers of La Jolla, Calif.; a stepsister, Terri Castleberry of Shawnee, Okla.; and a stepbrother, Keith Loter of Germany. Ricky Gene Smith DUMAS - Ricky Gene Smith, 44, died Thursday, April 15, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Frank Elliott, retired Nazarene minister of Dumas, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Smith was born and raised in Dumas where he lived for most of his life. He attended Dumas schools and was a truck driver. Survivors include a daughter, Brandy Smith of Bryan; his parents, Don and Ernestine Martin of Dumas; his grandmother, Opal Montgomery of Dumas; two sisters, Pam Casteel of Amarillo and Criss Yon of Salt Lake City; a brother, Kelley Martin of Dumas; and a stepmother, Nancy Smith of Roswell, N.M. "Mack" Donnell, 93, died Thursday, April 15, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Fred Palmer, pastor of The Carpenter's Church, and the Rev. Jim Sinyard, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Donnell was born in Crutcher, Mo. He retired after 25 years as a B-52 airplane mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. In 1992, he moved from Ardmore, Okla., to Pampa where he was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by two sons, Orville Donnell in 1991 and Robert "Bob" Donnell in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Clark of Pampa; a son, Lewis Donnell of Oklahoma City; a brother, Tom Donnell of Bartlesville, Okla.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Ray Gene Anderson, of Ardmore. The family suggests memorials be to Tralee Crisis Center or the Pampa Sheltered Workshop. Elizabeth King MULESHOE - Elizabeth King, 83, died Thursday, April 15, 1999. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Mrs. King was born in Colorado City and moved to Muleshoe from Lubbock in 1946. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star. In 1989, she retired from Western 66 Gas and Butane Co. She married Robert King at Colorado City. He died in 1959. Survivors include two sons, Charles King of Amarillo and Joe King of Muleshoe; a daughter, Doris Scoggin of Shallowater; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Elsewhere Wanda Fern Osborne German NORFORK, Ark. - Wanda Fern Osborne German, 62, a former Amarillo resident, died Thursday, April 15, 1999, in Mountain Home, Ark. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Kirby-Conner-Boaz Funeral Home at Mountain Home. Burial will be in Galatia Cemetery at Norfork. Mrs. German was born in Amarillo. She had attended schools in Amarillo. She married Jerald "Jerry" German in 1962 in Amarillo, and they moved to Des Moines, Iowa, in 1965. They moved to Norfork, Ark., in June 1998. She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Hawkins. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Terry Don Hawkins of Montana and Michael German of Altoona, Iowa; a sister, Betty Moore of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. Ray Biggs PHOENIX, Ariz. - Ray Biggs, formerly of Amarillo, died Thursday, April 8, 1999. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Methodist Church in Phoenix with Dr. Buzz Stevens officiating. Arrangements are by Botimer Funeral Home. Mr. Biggs was born in Wichita Falls and moved to Amarillo at an early age. He was a real estate appraiser. In 1971, he moved to Phoenix. He married Margaret Ann Steed in 1971. Survivors include his wife; a son, John Biggs of New Orleans; two stepsons, Scott Lee Peeples of Dallas and David William Steed Jr. of Haverhill, Mass.; a brother, Robert Biggs of Dallas; and four grandchildren. The family will be at 5555 E. Via Montoya Dr., in Phoenix. They suggest memorials be to the American Heart Association. Pauline Ozella Earwood MANLY, Iowa - Pauline Ozella Earwood, 83, formerly of Amarillo, died Thursday, April 15, 1999. Memorial services are being arranged by Bride Colonial Chapel in Manly, Iowa. Mrs. Earwood was born in Floydada. She was a homemaker and member of Southwest Church of Christ in Amarillo. She was married to Curtis W. Earwood for 62 years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995 and by a son, Donald Curtis Earwood, in 1981. Survivors include two daughters, Billie Jean Whitted of Clovis, N.M., and Patricia Ann Buchanan of Manly; a sister, Ruby Sutton Wood of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
