Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. today in West Park Cemetery followed by memorial services at 10 a.m. in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Fuller officiating. Mrs. Grimes was born in Lincoln County, Kan. In 1928 at Lincoln County, she married James Grimes. He died in 1956. After his death, she went to nursing school and worked at Kansas University and Beloit Community hospitals in Kansas. After 14 years of nursing, Mrs. Grimes retired. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hereford. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel Grimes in 1931 and Donald Grimes in 1978. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Charest of Hereford; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three greatgreat-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church 180 Youth Group, c/o the First United Methodist Church in Hereford. Berlie Milligan Box QUANAH - Berlie Milligan Box, 96, died Friday, July 16, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Quanah Memorial Park with the Rev. Clinton Young, minister of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Box was born in Merit. She lived in Quanah most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Oscar Lee Box in 1919 in Quanah. He died in 1981. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Lillian Reeb OLTON - Lillian Reeb, 69, died Friday, July 16, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church in Olton with the Rev. Kyle Streun officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Olton. Mrs. Reeb was born in Lindsey, Okla. In 1968, she moved to Olton from Abernathy. She was a school teacher in the Olton schools and a member of the Running Water Draw Care Center volunteers. She married Melvin Reeb in 1952 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Marion Durham of Olton and Susan Venable of Plainview; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Vista Care Hospice of Plainview or Running Water Draw Care Center of Olton. Freda V. Andrews CANADIAN - Freda V. Andrews, 74, died Friday, July 16, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Colony Baptist Church in Colony, Okla., with the Rev. Truman Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Van Dyke Cemetery near Colony by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mrs. Andrews was born in Mason, Okla., and was raised in Colony where she attended school. During World War II, she worked in an airplane factory in Wichita, Kan. She was a homemaker who moved to Canadian in 1976 from Woodward, Okla. Survivors include two sons, Darrell Andrews and Tommy Andrews, both of Canadian; a daughter, Sandra Cherry of Springtown; a sister, Creda Smith of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Viewing will be from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to Hemphill County Hospice or Hemphill County Home Health, 1020 S. Fourth, Canadian, TX 79014. Maria Cruz HEREFORD - Maria Cruz, 77, died Thursday, July 15, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today and Sunday in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Domingo Castillo officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Hereford. Mrs. Cruz was born in Mercedes. A Hereford resident for more than 50 years, she was a homemaker and a member of San Jose Catholic Church. She married Jacinto Cruz in 1939. Survivors include her husband; six sons, Ruben Cruz of Folly, Ala., Rene Cruz of Amarillo, Raymundo Cruz of Canyon, Ramiro Cruz of Alvin, Raul Cruz of Hereford and Rolando Cruz of San Angelo; four daughters, Alvina Cruz of Platteville, Colo., Juanita Gonzalz and Clarida Cruz, both of Hereford, and Sarita Margo of Arlington; a brother, Roberto Garcia of Hereford; 34 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Albert Rieger Albert Rieger, 76, of Amarillo, died Friday, July 16, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran Church of Mobridge, S.D., with Dennis Fonkert, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Trail City Cemetery by Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Mr. Rieger previously lived in Mobridge. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda. Survivors include his wife, Deloris; a son, Brent of Amarillo; two daughters, Peggy Reed and LeAnn Sorrels, both of Amarillo; seven sisters, Hilda Ritter, Alma McLean and Anna Zwolle, all of Sacramento, Calif., Emma Olson and Martha Rieger, both of Faulkton, S.D.; Eileen Severson of Bismarck, N.D., and Jeanne Jacobson of Billings, Mont.; two brothers, Oscar of Casper, Wyo., and Rueben of Greensboro, N.C.; and two granddaughters. Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. William Reford Byers William Reford Byers, 92, died Friday, July 16, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery with Dick Marcear of Central Church of Christ officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Byers was born in Newcastle, Okla. For more than 50 years, he owned and operated Byers Vacuum and Sewing Machine. He was a Mason and a member of Central Church of Christ for more than 20 years. He married Muriel Escoe in 1927 at Healdton, Okla. Preceding him in death was his wife in 1990 and a son, Bill R. Byers, in 1980. Survivors include a daughter, Joan Williams of Amarillo; three brothers, Jerry Byers of Phoenix, Tommy Byers of Palm Springs, Calif., and Johnny Byers of Spokane, Wash.; and three granddaughters. The family will be at 7212 Versailles. They suggest memorials be to High Plains Children's Home. Oklahoma William Eugene Macormic GUYMON, Okla. - William Eugene Macormic, 39, died Wednesday, July 14, 1999. Memorial services will be at 10:30 today in the Nazarene Church with Terry Armstrong and the Rev. Leon Lothman officiating. Family burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Macormic was born in Guymon. He attended the Guymon school system, graduating with the class of 1977. He moved to Wichita, Kan., in 1986, returning to Guymon in 1995. He was a selfemployed carpenter. Survivors include his parents, Bill and Laura Macormic of Guymon; three children, Tarin Rae Macormic of Jacksonville, Fla., Matthew Brady Macormic and Shasta Dawn Macormic, both of Sharon Springs, Kan.; and grandmother, Reba Macormic of Guymon.
