Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Norman Patton officiating. Burial will be in Olton Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mr. Wilks was born in Eldorado, Okla., and moved to Olton in 1937. He was a farmer. He married Dorothy Wilks in 1967 at Olton. She died in May 1999. He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Larry Digby, in 1990. Survivors include a daughter, Gwendolyn Smith of Branson, Mo.; two stepsons, Ronnie Digby of Olton and Troy Digby of Lawton, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Dottie Brant of Hollister and Donna Burnett of Burleson; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Olton Volunteer Ambulance Association and the Running Water Draw Care Center in Olton. Elizabeth Rey Pacheco TULIA - Elizabeth Rey Pacheco, 21, died Sunday, May 16, 1999. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in the Wallace Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of the Holy Spirit with John Salazar-Jimenez officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Pacheco was born in Plainview and graduated from Tulia High School in 1995. She was a licensed cosmetologist and had been working as a prison guard at the Fornby Unit Prison in Plainview. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. She married Feliz Pacheco in 1997 at Tulia. Survivors include her husband; a son, Isaiah Pacheco; her parents, Octaivio and Edusijes Rey of Tulia; a brother, Octaivio Rey Jr. of Tulia; three sisters, Rosalinda Chasco, Rachel Rey and Naomi Rey, all of Tulia; and her grandparents, Alvina Rey and Ysidro Carrasco, both of Tulia. Micaela Garcia MULESHOE - Micaela "Mickey" Garcia, 44, died Friday, May 14, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Valentine Martinez of Living Faith Christian Church of Olton officiating. Burial will be in Bailey County Cemetery. Mrs. Garcia was born in Crystal City and moved to Muleshoe from Dimmitt in 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of the Living Faith Christian Church in Olton. She married Jose Luis Garcia in 1975 at Dimmitt. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Joe Luis Garcia and Jose Luis Garcia Jr., both of Muleshoe; eight daughters, Irene Garcia, Amalia Garcia, Candy Garcia, Maria Garcia, Liza Garcia, Claudia Garcia, Christina Garcia and Angelita Garcia, all of Muleshoe; three sisters, Mary Cervantez of Dallas, Judy Reyna of Lubbock and Joanna Reyna of Big Spring; seven brothers, Manuel Serrano of Big Wells, Raymond Serrano of Littlefield, Jessie Serrano of Texico, N.M., Robert Reyna and Vincent Reyna, both of Slaton and Leo Reyna and Lionel Reyna, both of Lubbock; and four grandchildren. Amarillo Florene Harms Florene Harms, 97, of Amarillo, died Saturday, May 15, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home East Mausoleum with the Rev. Raymond Bowlin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Harms was born in May, Texas, and moved to Amarillo in 1940 from Kress. She was a housewife and a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. She married Walter Harms in 1920 at May. He died in 1973. She was also preceded in death by two sons, John Harms in 1985 and James Harms in 1986. Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Harms and Mack Harms, both of Amarillo, and Vance Harms of Glen Cove; a daughter, Evelyn McClanahan of Amarillo; two sisters, Ann Harris of Brownwood and Gwen Roach of Lampasas; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. James W. Benningfield James W. Benningfield, 20, of Amarillo, died Friday, May 14, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Benningfield was born in Amarillo and worked as a landscaper. Survivors include a brother, Johnnie Benningfield of Amarillo; and a sister, Victoria Brushe of Baltimore. Margaret Joyce Monroe Margaret Joyce Monroe, 79, of Amarillo, died Saturday, May 15, 1999. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Llano East Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Wynn of St. Stephen United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mrs. Monroe was born in Wichita, Kan., and moved to Amarillo as a child. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1938, attended college and was a homemaker and a Methodist. She lived in Dallas before returning to Amarillo in 1981. She married Gerald Morgan Monroe in 1940. Survivors include three daughters, Rilla Joyce Feazel of Longview, Theresa Sterman of Darien, Conn. and Debby Hall of Amarillo; and six grandchildren. New Mexico Marcos Arias TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Marcos Arias, 75, died Saturday, May 15, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Dunn Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. John C. Daniel officiating. Mr. Arias was born in Puerto de Luna, N.M., and had been a resident of Tucumcari for the past 48 years. He was retired from the Water Department of the City of Tucumcari and served with the Tucumcari Volunteer Fire Department for 33 years. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus Council No. 6937, Tucumcari Elks Lodge No. 1172 and American Legion Post No. 77. He served in the Navy and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. His wife, Nellie, died in 1997. Survivors include six daughters, Elizabeth Silva of Portales, N.M., Jo Ann Smith, Sylvia Wampler, Betty Munoz and Abby Arias, all of Tucumcari and Nancy Arias of Clovis, N.M.; two brothers, Joe Arias of Tucumcari and Arturo Arias of Santa Rosa, N.M.; two sisters, Louisa Romero of Amarillo and Geraldine Cross of Indiana; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Clara Alice Berg Byers GUYMON, Okla. - Clara Alice Berg Byers, 92, died Saturday, May 15, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Henson-Novak Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Mrs. Byers was born in Beresford, S.D., and moved to Guymon in 1913. She married George Byers in 1944. He died in 1968. She was also preceded in death by two stepsons. Survivors include two stepsons, Robert Byers of Holdenville, Okla. and Allen Byers of Hot Springs, Ark; a sister, Grace Rock, of Guymon. Hubert Earl Wells FELT, Okla. - Hubert Earl Wells, 72, died Friday, May 14, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Felt Baptist Church with Jeff Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Bertrand Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City, Okla. Mr. Wells was born in Logan, Okla., and was a 1942 graduate of Laverne High School in Laverne, Okla. In Slapout, Okla., he worked as a carpenter and in Laverne, he drove a transport and worked for Laverne Coop. In 1960, he began working as a private contractor and built homes in Laverne until he moved to Felt in 1976. He farmed in Felt and was a member and deacon of the Felt Baptist Church. He married Glenna Smith in 1963 at Laverne. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin Wells of Felt; two daughters, Sharon deBoer of Dalhart and Kristy Murdock of Boise City; a sister, Edythe Anderson of Laverne; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Baptist Children's Home or the Gideons and may be left in care of the funeral home. Curtis Dean Loftis BOISE CITY, Okla. - Curtis Dean Loftis, 53, died Saturday, May 15, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Cimarron Mortuary Chapel with Frank Lynch officiating. Burial will be in Kenton Cemetery in Kenton, Okla. Mr. Loftis was born in Carlsbad, N.M., and attended high school in both Tularosa, N.M., and Cloudcroft, N.M. He received certification as a welder at New Mexico State University. In Weed, N.M., he worked at Logging Woods as a heavy equipment operator. In Carlsbad, he worked in the oil fields and was a driller and transport driver from 1974 until 1993. He married Nancy Capansky in 1968 at Boise City. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Curtis Duane Loftis and Aaron Brent Loftis, both of Boise City; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Chadwick of Clyde; his mother, Nettie Loftis of Carlsbad; two brothers, Ernest Loftis of Carlsbad and Terry Loftis of Weed; four sisters, Billie Jean Driver and Mildred Mills, both of Carlsbad, Patricia Pike of Ruidoso, N.M. and Sherry Holden of Laurel, Miss; and seven grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Pentecostal Holiness Church or the Cimarron Mortuary. Elsewhere Robert C. Moore PUEBLO, Colo. - Robert C. Moore, 69, formerly of Amarillo, died Thursday, May 13, 1999. Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors Chapel in Pueblo, Colo. Mr. Moore was born in Reno, Nev., and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Colorado Interstate Gas after 46 years of service and was a member of B.P.O. Elks No. 90, American Legion and ASET-Certified Engineering Technicians. The body will not be available for viewing. Survivors include his wife, Helen, of Pueblo; a son, Rory Moore of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Velmarie Moon Nation STEPHENVILLE - Velmarie Moon Nation, 91, died Sunday, May 16, 1999. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kyle Davis officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory by Stephenville Funeral Home. Mrs. Nation was born in Buckholt and had lived in Stephenville since 1968. She was a homemaker and a member of Harvey Baptist Church. She married W.M. Nation in 1924 at Floydada. He died in 1989. She was also preceded in death by a son, Earl; a daughter, Laura; a granddaughter, Karen; and a grandson, Bobby. Survivors include a daughter, Marie Stag of Stephenville; a son, Robert Nation of Amarillo; a sister, Viola Jemison of Tyler; four grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.
