Services will be at 3 p.m. today in San Jose Catholic Church with Jim McCartney officiating. Burial will be in the Lockney Cemetery at Lockney by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Martinez was born in Mexico and moved to Plainview in 1952. She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church at Lockney. She married Juan Martinez in 1919 at Waco. He died in 1970. Survivors include four daughters, Susie Castillo of Fort Worth, Peggy Felan of Waco, Ora Fraga of Plainview and Maria Regalado of Santa Maria, Calif.; two sons, Albert Martinez of Hargill and Oscar Martinez of Lockney; 88 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Floy Heath PAMPA - Floy "Flossie" Heath, 96, died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Christian Church with the Rev. Barry Loving, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Heath was born in Delta County. She attended Texas Christian University for one year. She moved to Pampa in 1934 from Amarillo. She owned and operated Heath's Menswear in Pampa for 25 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She served on the board of directors of the American Red Cross, served as secretary of the Girl Scouts Association, and was a member of the Altrusa Club of Pampa. She married Mark Amos Heath in 1924 in Amarillo. He died in 1979. Survivors include a niece, Lynn Gwyn of Amarillo; a nephew, Craig Harrison of Seattle; a great-niece; and three greatnephews. The family requests memorials be to First Christian Church. They will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Hugh C. Haugh FRITCH - Hugh C. Haugh, 88, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Fairlanes Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Rankin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. A native of Gassville, Ark., Mr. Haugh had lived in Hutchinson County for 57 years. He retired in 1975 after 35 years as master switcher and blender for Phillips Petroleum Co. He was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church. He married Jennie Morris in 1930. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Haugh. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, June Henson of Sanford, Melba Snodgrass of Breckenridge, Barbara Thompson of Borger and Marilyn Buckley of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Bessie E. Yeary Megee Giddens ALLISON - Bessie E. Yeary Megee Giddens, 85, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church in Allison with the Rev. Bob Meller, pastor, Andy Taylor and Mike Dyer, both of Sayer, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mrs. Giddens was born in Lake Victor and moved to Morton after the death of her father. She moved to Wheeler from the Amarillo area in 1933 then to Allison in 1942. In addition to farming, she wrote poems, children's stories and religious songs. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Allison. Her first marriage was to John B. Megee in 1929 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1964. She married Carl A. Giddens in 1976. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and a daughter, Bessie Mae Megee, in 1932. Survivors include a son, G.W. Megee of Placerville, Calif.; three daughters, Lavesta Barber and Arlene Scheller, both of Amarillo, and Fae Davis of Elk City, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Patsy Stinnett of Buena Vista, Colo., and Phyllis Hefley of Briscoe; a brother, Carl W. Yeary of Von Ormy; 18 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101. Samuel Garth Beard WHEELER - Samuel Garth Beard, 64, died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999. No services are planned. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mr. Beard was born in Cochran County. A truck driver, he moved to Wheeler from Houston in 1989. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Wheeler. He married Barbara Mann in 1958 at Guymon, Okla. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Karen McNeil, Rhonda Girdley and Sandra Simpson, all of Wheeler; two sisters, Florence Owen of Hobbs, N.M., and Juanita Bulkely of Odessa; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Israel R. Garcia DIMMITT - Israel R. Garcia, 24, of Hart, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Pentecostal Church of Hart with the Rev. Roger Velasquez of Sandaro de la Cruz Pentecostal, officiating. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Mr. Garcia was born in Goodland, Kan., and grew up in Hart where he graduated from high school in 1994. He was a truck driver for R. Garcia Trucking and a member of the Pentecostal Church in Hart. Survivors include his wife; Armida; two sons, Jordan Isaiah Garcia and Jacob Israel Garcia, both of Hart; his parents, Richard Garcia Sr., of Portales, N.M., and Agnes Garcia of Lubbock; two brothers, Richard Garcia Jr. of Hart and Isaac DeLaGarza of Lubbock; a sister, Yvett Garcia of Lubbock; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Gonzales and Mrs. Elmina Garcia, all of Hart. Georgia St. Mrs. Eddy was born in Amarillo. She was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Young of Amarillo and Michelle Swinburn of Tulia; a sister, Sandra O'Neal of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. William Fielding Brain IV William Fielding "Bill" Brain IV, 53, died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Andrew Parker officiating. Mr. Brain was born in Dallas and received his master's degree from the University of Texas. In 1993, he moved from San Antonio to Amarillo where he retired as chief environmental scientist for Pantex in 1997. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He married Faye Love in 1975 at Beeville. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1997 and by a daughter, Katherine "Katy" Temple Brain, in 1996. Survivors include a son, Jackson Fielding Brain of Amarillo; his uncle, Jackson T. Daugherty of Natalia; his stepfather, Willard C.
