Burns Clifford F. Burns, 81, of Amarillo, died Friday, July 16, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage, with Jimmy Gillmore, pastor of Riverview Baptist Church in Borger, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Burns was born in Hope, N.M. and had lived in the Texas Panhandle for most of his life. He was an accountant for Diamond Shamrock for more than 30 years and retired in 1986. In 1996, he moved from Borger to Amarillo. He was a musician and a Baptist. He married Argie Bell Neill in 1958 at Oklahoma City. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Jo Davis of Perryton and Bobbie Sue Baker of Wheeler; a son, Robert Clifford Burns of Arlington; a stepdaughter, Donna Kelley of Citronelle, Ala.; two sisters, Geraldine Meyer of Borger and Monte Jean Cribbs of Winslow, Ariz.; a brother, Lloyd Burns of Borger; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center; or Alzheimer's Association, Panhandle Chapter, 2200 W. 7th, Amarillo, TX 79106. Jesse James Edward Don Mulder Jesse James Edward Don Mulder, infant son of Thomas James and Jessica Mulder, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 17, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Frank Norred, pastor of Assembly of God Church, 1110 N. Buchanan. Burial will be in Baby Land Memorial Park Cemetery. Donald Fitzgerald Schmidt Donald Fitzgerald Schmidt, 74, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 17, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Comanche Trail Church of Christ with Loran Harper officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Schmidt was born in Superior, Wis., graduated from Minot High School in Minot, N.D. and moved to Amarillo from Canyon in 1955. He served with the Navy during World War II and worked in automotive customer service. He married Yvonne Waldrop in 1947 at Everett, Wash. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Terry Schmidt and Mike Schmidt, both of Amarillo and Scott Schmidt of Dallas; two daughters, Cindy Gray of Amarillo and Sandy Jorgenson of Coppell; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Eugene Bagwell Eugene Bagwell, 79, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 17, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Claude Community Cemetery in Claude with the Rev. He was a mechanic and served Area Arthur Lee Brown BORGER - Arthur Lee Brown, 57, died Thursday, July 15, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in New Zion Baptist Church with Harry Williams, minister of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Garden of Love in Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Brown was born in Borger where he was a lifelong resident. For 25 years, he was an operator for Phillips Petroleum Co. and a member of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ. He married Mildred Myers in 1973 at Borger. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jason Brown of Oklahoma City, Arthur L. Ila Mae Ketchum PAMPA - Ila Mae Ketchum, 65, died Saturday, July 17, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery with Bishop Roger Roundy of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints of Pampa officiating. Arrangements are by CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Ketchum was born in Olympia, Wash. She lived in Washington and Oregon and, in 1961, moved to Pampa from Utah. She was a member of the Garden Club and, since 1963, The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. She married Emit Ketchum in 1954 in Washington. Survivors include two sons, Larry Ketchum of Lake Dallas and James Ketchum of Pampa; three daughters, Vickie Wells and Sandra Harlan, both of Baytown and Jeanette Murray of Jasper; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Donna Rae Gage Lewis STINNETT - Donna Rae Gage Lewis, 50, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Revs. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, and Billy R. Lewis, retired, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Lewis was born in Borger, where she was a longtime resident. She was a cook with Johnson Ranch, Willard Ranch, Bivins Coldwater Ranch, Sanford Ranch and Fulton Ranch. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Quilter's Club of Las Vegas, N.M. and the Choctaw tribe. Her son, Ray Dean Lewis, died in 1993. Survivors include her husband, Jerry; her parents, E.E. "Whitey" and Gene Gage of Stinnett; two brothers, Robert Gage of Borger and William Gage of Stinnett; three sisters, Susie Simmons of Amarillo, Teresa Gage of Stinnett and Monica Pryor of Andrews. Fel ix Fetsch HEREFORD - Felix Fetsch, 79, died Saturday, July 17, 1999 at Lake Kemp. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Saint Anthony's Catholic Church with Monsignor Orvil Blum officiating. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Mr. Fetsch was born in Rhineland and served with the Army Air Corps during World War II. He moved to Hereford in 1955, where he farmed until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Hereford Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by three sons and a grandson. He married Wilhemine Albus in 1946 at Pep. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lewis Fetsch, David Fetsch and Ronald Fetsch, all of Hereford; five daughters, Mildred Birkenfeld and Judy Lang, both of Nazareth, Pauline George of Dimmitt, Regina Weeg of Canyon, and Dorothy Schwertner of Dumas; three brothers, Leo Fetsch of Rhineland, Paul Fetsch of Muenster and Fidelis Fetsch of Lake Kemp; three sisters, Angie Albus and Mary Albus, both of Pep, and Ann Krahula of Duncan, Okla.; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to St. Anthony's School Endowment Fund. Jeanne J. McDonald Barnes CLARENDON - Jeanne J. McDonald Barnes, 79, died Friday, July 16, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Smiley Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Barnes was born in Clarendon, graduated as valedictorian from Clarendon High School in 1937, with honors from Clarendon Junior College in 1939 and with a bachelor's degree in journalism from Texas Tech in 1941. She was a reporter for The Clarendon News; Pampa Leader; Kilgore News-Herald; Marshall News Messenger; and the Fort Worth Press. She worked at the Dallas Morning News from 1958-77. She also worked at the Houston Chronicle; the San Antonio Express-News; and the San Antonio Light. Mrs. Barnes received awards for her furniture reporting. From 1977-82, she was the Southwest reporter for Designers West, Residential Interiors and Furniture Today. She was a consultant in establishing Texas Homes, Dallas Fort Worth Home and Garden and Austin Home and Garden. From 1983-95, she was furniture reporter and consultant of Retailer and Marketing News. She was a charter member of Theta Sigma Phi at Texas Tech and an officer for the Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and Dallas chapters. She was also a charter member of Southwest Chapter, IFDA, a press member of the American Society of Interior Designers from 1952-96. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors include two sisters, Myrne M. Altendorf of Amarillo and Janice J. Pair of Lubbock. The family suggests memorials be to Hendrick Hospice of Abilene; Hospice of the Big Country; or Presbyterian Church in Clarendon.
