Pearson Correll Beulah M. Pearson Correll, 94, of Amarillo, died Thursday, June 17, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 25, in South Solon Cemetery at South Solon, Ohio, by Jackson Lytle & Ingling Williams Inc. of Springfield, Ohio. Mrs. Correll was born in Cushing, Okla., and raised in San Jon, N.M. She married Guy W. Correll in 1929. They moved to Amarillo in the 1930s and moved to Florida in the 1960s. They returned to Amarillo five years ago. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in October. Survivors include three nephews, Jack Pearson of Amarillo, Ted Whatley of Denver, and Harry Hopper of Oklahoma City; and three nieces, Delores Morris of Mesa, Ariz., Karen Schmidt of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Gretchen Brashear of Tucumcari, N.M. Georgia Nirgiotis Georgia Nirgiotis, 71, of Boca Raton, Fla., died Thursday, June 17, 1999, in Amarillo. She was a teacher in Morton Grove, Ill., where she retired. She attended Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church at Glenview, Ill. Survivors include her husband, Nicholas; two sons, Jason Nirgiotis of Amarillo and Ted Nirgiotis of El Cerrito, Calif.; and a brother, John Christos of New Jersey. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Consuelo R. Palacio Consuelo R. Palacio, 65, of Amarillo, died Thursday, June 17, 1999. Mrs. Palacio was born in Amarillo and was a lifelong resident. In 1984, she retired after 10 years with Levi Strauss. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and of the Guadalupana. She married Severo Palacio in 1949 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Vicki Martinez, Cindy Garcia, Michele Palacio and Elaine Palacio, all of Amarillo; five sons, Gerald Palacio, Greg Palacio and Edward Palacio, all of Amarillo, Severo Palacio Jr. of Houston and Vincent Palacio of Dallas; a brother, Miguel Ramirez of Denver; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Jones Johnny W. Jones, 54, of Amarillo, died Friday, June 18, 1999. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Grace Fellowship Church in Lockney with the Rev. Farril DeFoor, pastor, officiating. Mr. Jones was born in Olton and attended schools in Cotton Center. He was a delivery driver and member of San Jacinto Baptist Church in Amarillo. Rosemary Paredes Rosemary Paredes, 40, of Stockton, Calif., and a former Amarillo resident, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999. Georgia St., in Amarillo. Miss Paredes was born and raised in Amarillo. She graduated from Caprock High School in 1975 and attended Amarillo College. For several years, she was a legal assistant for the Bob McClendon law firm. Miss Paredes attended First Christian Church in Amarillo. She moved to Stockton five years ago. Survivors include her parents, Joe and Mary Paredes of Amarillo; three brothers, Danny Paredes, Jody Paredes and Ray Paredes, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Lanell Killion of Amarillo and Juanita Paredes of Stockton; and her grandfather, Candido Rodriquez of Amarillo. Canyon Ora Smith Ora Smith, 96, of Canyon, died Friday, June 18, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel in Canyon with the Rev. A former resident of Happy, she moved to Canyon in 1993. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Happy. She married John Thomas Smith in 1919 at Brown County. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, and by three daughters, Margaret Whitehead, Molly Paulsen and Johnnie Judkins. Box 131, Wayside, TX 79094. Oklahoma Henry Littau BEAVER, Okla. - Henry Littau, 87, died Thursday, June 17, 1999. Services will be Sunday in Midway Country Church at Logan with the Rev. Neil Ragen, the Rev. Marcus Adair and the Rev. Bob Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree County Cemetery at Perryton, Texas, by Seeger Funeral Home of Laverne. Mr. Littau was born in Kiowa, Texas. He attended school in Booker, Texas. He married Viola Hoch Peters in 1938 at Perryton. After his marriage, he lived south of Perryton for six years then moved his family to Slapout. In 1940, they moved to their current homestead south of the Clearlake community. Mr. Littau was a bricklayer, cement finisher, farmer and rancher. He grew up in the Emanuel Congregational Church. He was a member of Midway Country Church. A harmonica and accordion player, he played at area nursing homes. He was preceded in death by a son, Roy Littau. Survivors include his wife; five children, Anna Mae Stinson of Laverne, Alfred Littau of Newberg, Ore., Max Littau of Amarillo, Daniel Littau of Perryton and Terry Littau of Perryton; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the ministry of choice or Midway Country Church. Donald Neal Corbin GUYMON, Okla. - Donald Neal Corbin, 60, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Armstrong of the Guymon Nazarene Church officiating. Burial will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery. Mr. Corbin was born in Wolf and moved with his family in 1941 to Guymon. He attended school in Guymon, graduating in 1957. He entered active duty with the Navy in 1957, serving until 1961. He re-enlisted in the Navy in 1963 and served during the Vietnam War. While in the Navy, he served aboard the USS Coral Sea, USS Ticonderoga and USS Savage. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Guymon and attended Panhandle State University. For a while, he worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He married Leocadia "Leah" Jala in 1989 in the Philippines. Survivors include his wife; a son, Carridine Corbin of Guymon; his father, Bill Corbin of Beaver; and a sister, Billye Hininger of Guymon. He worked for Metro Gate Inc. and attended Hospitality Church of God In Christ. He was preceded in death by a daughter, LaMesa Embry. Survivors include his mother, Patsy Walker Ridley; two sons, Donivan Ridley of Dallas and Cedric Williams of Paris; three daughters, LaTarya Council and Miyoshi Lee, both of Paris, and Umekia Kendrick of Oklahoma City; two brothers, John Ridley of San Diego, Calif., and Marcus Ridley of Paris; three sisters, Joan Smith and Joyce Lawrence, both of Paris, and Jayne Morrison of Dallas; grandmother, Naomi Ridley of Dallas; and five grandchildren. Elizabeth Lee Graham LUBBOCK - Elizabeth Lee Graham, 78, died Thursday, June 17, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Weldon Butler officiating. Arrangements are by Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mrs. Graham was born in Hot Springs, S.D., and graduated from Texas State Woman's College with a bachelor's degree in library science. She was a librarian for Edinburgh Junior College and high school. In 1956, Mrs. Graham moved to Lubbock from Austin. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Homebuilders Sunday School Class. She married L.M. Graham in 1947 at Denton. Survivors include her husband; a son, Alan Graham of Lubbock; two daughters, Nancy Eisenmann of Fort Worth and Sherry Richards of Amarillo; a brother, Louise "Topper" Davis of Lamesa; and seven grandchildren. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mrs. Flowers was born in Nagasaki, Japan, and moved to Clovis in 1969. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3015, the American Legion Post No. 25 and the MOCAPT No. 5. She married William O. "Bill" Flowers in 1956 at Fukuoka, Japan. Survivors include her husband; two sons, George Flowers of Wylie, Texas, and William R. "Willie" Flowers of Clovis; two daughters, Louisa Moore and Esther Atchley, both of Clovis; two brothers, Takeoshi Ohira and Fujiio Ohira, both of Nagasaki; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. John Glover, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens with graveside rites by Pampa Masonic Lodge 966 AF&AM. Mr. Genett was born in Whitewright. He married his wife, Pearl, in 1929 at Panhandle. They moved to Pampa in 1964. She preceded him in death. He worked for Skelly Oil Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1968. He had been a member of the Pampa Masonic Lodge 966 AF&AM since 1952, was a member of the Pampa Chapter 65 Order of Eastern Star, the Pampa Senior Citizens Association and the First Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Ethna Harvey of Electra and Elia Moon of Modesto, Calif.; a brother, James Genett in Weatherford; two nieces; and two nephews. Tommy Lee Williams HEREFORD - Tommy Lee Williams, 74, died Thursday, June 17, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gililland-Watson Funeral Home Rose Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Collins of Faith Mission Church and the Rev. L.V. Mays of Hereford officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mr. Williams was born in Mexia and moved to Deaf Smith County in 1970 from Dimmitt. He was a farm laborer. Survivors include four nieces, Joyce Brown, Lera Jean Brown, Trudy Brown and Mary Ann Brown, all of Hereford; and four nephews, Leo Brown, Lester Brown Jr., Floyd Brown and Clyde Brown, all of Hereford. Annie Craven Bugbee CLARENDON - Annie Craven Bugbee, 91, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Ned Creswell, pastor, and the Right Rev. George H. Quarterman, bishop, officiating. Entombment will be in the Bugbee Mausoleum at Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Bugbee was born on the Shoe Nail Ranch in Childress County and had been a resident of Armstrong County since 1932. She graduated from Mills College in California. She was a homemaker and an Episcopalian. She married Thomas Everett Bugbee Jr. in 1932 at Childress County. He died in 1966. Survivors include a cousin, William E. Sager of Childress; two sisters-in-law, Betty Bugbee Reed and Ethel Bugbee Long, both of San Diego; and a special friend, Emma Boateng of Amarillo. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Clarendon or a favorite charity. Richard Schmitz BORGER - Richard Schmitz, 87, died Friday, June 18, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Serenity in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Schmitz was born in Chillicothe. In 1941, he moved to Borger from Plainview. He retired in 1976 after 34 years as maintenance foreman for Southwestern Public Service. He attended Bible Baptist Church. He married Lillie Ardry in 1940 at Plainview. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Peggy Schmitz of Houston and Susan McEndree of Lubbock; and two granddaughters.
