Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Jim Ikner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in South Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mrs. Emmert was born in Bay City and moved to Wellington at an early age where she attended school and was a longtime resident. She was a homemaker and prize-winning artist. She was an active member of the Church of the Nazarene. She married Otis David Emmert in 1934 at Wellington. He died in 1991. Survivors include two sisters, Helen Foster of Fremont, Calif., and Jewell Patterson of Wellington; and a brother, Gurrie Kelly of Whittier, Calif. The family suggests memorials be to Church of the Nazarene. Margaret Foxhall MEMPHIS - Margaret "Cy" Foxhall, 91, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Ewing officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mrs. Foxhall was born in Memphis where she was a longtime resident. A homemaker, she was a member of First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for more that 50 years. She participated in many bridge clubs. She married Frank W. Foxhall in 1928 at Fort Worth. He died in 1981. Survivors include a son, Frank B. Foxhall of Memphis; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church van fund. Callie Mae Daniel DIMMITT - Callie Mae Daniel, 83, died Saturday, July 17, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with the Rev. Melvin Walker of Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Mrs. Daniel was born in Addison. She moved to Childress where she met Matthew Daniel and married him in 1950. They later moved to Dimmitt. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993. Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Johnny Hubbard of Dallas and Matthew Daniel Jr. of Warner Robins, Ga.; six daughters, Minnie Coffey, Deloris Burns, Mary Holmes and Dorthy James, all of Dallas, and Wanda Thomas and Carolyn McDonald, both of Dimmitt; a brother, Elijah Thomas of Dallas; a sister, Minnie Moody of Dallas; 42 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-greatgrandchildren. New Mexico Charles Ivan Weisdorfer ROY, N.M. - Charles Ivan "Stokey" Weisdorfer, 73, died Friday, July 16, 1999, at Walsenburg, Colo. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in Roy Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mr. Weisdorfer was born in Roy. He served in the military during World War II and the Korean War. He was a farmer and rancher and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church at Roy. Survivors include his wife, Rita; and a brother, Donald Weisdorfer of Roy. Burl Wynn MOSQUERO, N.M. - Burl Wynn, 58, died Saturday, July 17, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Mosquero Cemetery with Cowboy minister Broadus Gravette, officiating. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mr. Wynn was born in Turkey, Texas. He had been an employee of the Bell Ranch for more than 25 years. He was a member of the Community Church at Mosquero. Survivors include his wife, Beth; three sons, Monte Wynn of Gruver, Texas, Bob Wynn of New Mexico, and Darren Berkopec of Clovis; a daughter, Crystial Wynn of Carlsbad; two brothers, Jim Wynn of Carlsbad, and Doyle Wynn of Estelline, Texas; five sisters, Inez Payne of Summerland Key, Fla., Joy Lee Martin of Clarendon, Texas, Glenda Perry of Lubbock, Texas, Lawanna Cruse of Turkey, and Edna Hauffen of Texas; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The body will be available for viewing until noon today at the funeral home. Gene Glidewell CLOVIS, N.M. - Gene Glidewell, 65, died Saturday, July 17, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Bader officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens. Mr. Glidewell was born in Cane Hill, Ark., and was raised in Clovis. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1951. He had lived in Clovis for 40 years and in Santa Fe for 25 years. He retired from U.S. West Telephone Co. and the state of New Mexico. He was a Methodist and a member of the Elks Lodge, Veteran's of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Survivors include two sons, Rory Glidewell of Sudan, Texas, and Jonathan Glidewell of Santa Fe; four brothers, Marvin R. Glidewell of Belen, Donald Glidewell of Clovis, Larry Glidwell of Albuquerque, and J.D. Glidewell of Friona, Texas; five sisters, Leona Fahnert, Louella Beasley, Verna Eshleman and Jo Ann Burger, all of Clovis, and Erma Andrae of Riverdale, Utah; and two grandchildren. The family will be at 1312 Piedmont or 1045 Fairway Terrace. Jimmy Reyes CLOVIS, N.M. - Jimmy "Chango" Reyes, 58, died Saturday, July 17, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Iglesia Bautista Belen with Dr. James R. Burke officiating. Cremation will take place after the service with arrangements by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Reyes was born in Rocky Ford, Colo. He was a truck driver and of the Catholic faith. He married Mary Dominguez in 1962 at Farwell, Texas. She died in 1968. Survivors include a son, Alfred Baca of Las Vegas, N.M.; a daughter, Yolanda Davila of Clovis; his mother, Mary Reyes of Clovis; four brothers, Juan Guzman, Ralph Guzman and Jose Guzman, all of Texas, and Raymond Guzman of Roswell; three sisters, Gloria Audino of Texas, Mary Lou Guzman of Puerto Rico and Vangie Guzman of Clovis; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Olin Hardy CLOVIS, N.M. - Olin "Ray" Hardy, 72, of Granbury, Texas, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at The Chapel in Clovis with the Rev. Dick Ross officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Hardy was born in Dawson, Texas, and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a golf course consultant who designed and built 13 golf courses, including ones at Ruidoso; Pampa, Texas; Muleshoe, Texas; Tulia, Texas; Austin, Texas; and the Colonial Park Country Club in Clovis. He built the front nine holes in 1964 and the back nine holes in 1970. Mr. Hardy was a golf pro in Clovis, Wilcox, Ariz., and in Texas at Tulia, Muleshoe and Shamrock. He was a member and past officer of the Professional Golf Association and supporter of the Clovis High School golf team. He married Wanda Wallace in 1955 at Tucumcari. She died in 1996. Survivors include a son, Dan Hardy of Florida; two daughters, Gerri Falco of Denver and Jan Orio of Albuquerque; a brother, R.B. Hardy of Waco, Texas; a sister, Frances Vanderhoeven of Santa Ana, Calif.; and six grandchildren. Elsewhere Kenneth Wayne Smith AURORA, Colo. - Kenneth Wayne Smith, 61, a former Amarillo and Guymon, Okla., resident, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Elmhurst Cemetery at Guymon, Okla., by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Mr. Smith was born in Reading, Kan. He was raised and attended school in Las Animas. In 1967, he moved to the Guymon/Goodwell, Okla., area. He moved to Amarillo in 1990 and to Aurora in 1999. He served in the Air Force and worked for Adam's Hardfacing and Panhandle State University. Survivors include three sisters, Wilma Vandine of Lead, S.D., Nona Grace of New York City, and Joyce Martin of Denver; and three brothers, Donald Smith of Hill City, S.D., Robert Smith of Goodwell, and Norman Leroy of Lamar. Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942. Dennis Calhoun Bannister Sr. ANDERSON, S.C. - Dennis Calhoun Bannister Sr., 64, a former Amarillo resident, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in McDougal Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson with the Rev. Maurice DeFoor officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Mr. Bannister was born in Anderson where he was an all state football player at Boys High, the state champions in 1951. He retired as a chemical systems engineer from Owens Corning and was an international consultant with Varo Engineering Co. Mr. Bannister was a football coach for the Iva Recreation Department and Anderson Boys Club. He was a Mason and member of Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, Dennis Calhoun "Skipper" Bannister Jr. of Starr; four daughters, Denise Holley of Starr, Hope Campbell of Amarillo, Faith McDonald of Anderson and Mia Bryant of the US Air Force Academy of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Susan Hood of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He graduated from Palo Duro High School. He was employed by Park Place Retirement Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Hopson; and a sister, Melba Hopson. Ovia Hoskins Ovia Hoskins, 101, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mary Rogers-Ellsworth of First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, 315 E. Fifth. Mrs. Hoskins was born in Mount Ida, Ark. When she was 3, she moved with her family to Coleman, Okla., by wagon. She moved to Amarillo in 1927. For more than 20 years, Mrs. Hoskins worked in the advertising department of the Amarillo Globe-News. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She married Leo Hoskins in 1917 at Oklahoma. Preceding her in death were her husband in 1950, a son, Dwight Hoskins, and a daughter, Leovia Hoskins. Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Adams of Amarillo; two sisters, Ruth Landeburg and Ida Maddox, both of Fort Myers, Fla.; two granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Johnnie W. Parrack Johnnie W. Parrack, 72, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 18, 1999, in Friona. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo with the Rev. Anthony Pennington officiating and a military honor guard provided by the Navy/Marine Corps Reserve Center of Amarillo. Arrangements are by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mr. Parrack was born in Lockney where he graduated from high school in 1943. During World War II, he served with the Marines in Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. He moved to Amarillo in 1960 from Lubbock. In 1987, Mr. Parrack retired. He worked in the service management field and auto paint and body repair. He and his wife managed Motel 6 in Amarillo and Austin. He married Shirley Tate Brown in 1976 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a son, Phil Parrack, in 1996. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kelley Parrack of Amarillo; three daughters, Jo Blackwell of Bovina, Carolyn Rowell of Grand Island, Neb., and Darlene Barnes of Amarillo; his mother, Eula Parrack of Friona; and a brother, William Parrack of Lubbock. In 1958, she moved to Amarillo where she retired in 1993 as an inventory specialist for TSTI. She was a Baptist. Survivors include a daughter, Janice Johnson of Amarillo; a son, Walter J. Mr. Singleton was born in Colorado City and had lived in Canyon for 24 years. He was a former coach and teacher at Sam Houston and Fannin Junior High schools and co-owner of SOTA-Tech Pest Management. He was a member of the board of directors of Palo Duro Club and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Singleton; two sons, Kerry Singleton of Albuquerque, N.M., and Kyle Singleton of Amarillo; a daughter, Shelli Mardick of Amarillo; two brothers, Duane Singleton of Seneca, S.C., and Vernon Singleton of Victoria; a sister, Sue McCoy of New Braunfels; and five grandsons. Earl C. Penry Earl C. Penry, 89, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Mr. Penry was born in Winston-Salem, N.C., and had lived in Amarillo since 1935. For 35 years, he and his wife operated Penry Jewelry Store in downtown Amarillo. He was a member of the Amarillo Photographic Society, the Photographic Society of America, the Amarillo Club and Polk Street United Methodist Church. He married Vivian Ballew in 1938. She died in 1998. Survivors include four nephews, Vernon Penry, Norman Penry, Norris Penry and Edwin Penry, all of Greensboro, N.C.; and two nieces, Mary Reece and Betty Gingerick, both of Greensboro. Fifth Ave. Mrs. Walden was born in Dumas and moved to Amarillo five years ago. She had been a licensed vocational nurse in Moore County Hospital and was a selfemployed artist in Amarillo. She married Larry Walden in 1997 at Amarillo. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mikki McGinley and Kimi McGinley, both of Amarillo; four brothers, Tim, John, Bryan and Sammy, all of Paris, TX; and a granddaughter. Louise Moreland Brown Louise Moreland Brown, 76, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Llano Cemetery with Monsignor Joseph Tash of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Brown was born in Hamlin. She was a homemaker and member of Temple Baptist Church for 55 years. She married Carroll Brown in 1953 at Clovis, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, a daughter, Sandie Jones in 1990, and a son, Tommy Lane in 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Marty of Fairbanks, Alaska; two sisters, Dorothy Anthony of Lubbock and Christine Hightower of Memphis; two brothers, Gloyd Moreland of Bryan and J.T. Moreland of Lowell, Ark.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1923 S. Highland. The body will not be available for viewing.
