Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Ewing officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mrs. Foxhall was born in Memphis, where she was a longtime resident. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for more than 50 years. She participated in many bridge clubs. She married Frank W. Foxhall in 1928 at Fort Worth. He died in 1981. Survivors include a son, Frank B. Foxhall of Memphis; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the First United Methodist Church van fund. Edward Leavell DALHART - Edward "Eddie" Leavell, 68, died Monday, July 19, 1999. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hass Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Hancock, pastor of Lincoln Street Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Leavell was a local painter and Baptist church member. He was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Leavell Jr. Survivors include two sisters, Marge Panenteau of Birchwood, Wis., and Lorraine Holmes of Big Harbor, Wash.; and two brothers, Dustin Leavell of Willmar, Minn., and Ben Leavell of White Bluff, Tenn. Richard Lynn Rickman HEREFORD - Richard Lynn Rickman, 50, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in West Park Cemetery with Ray Sanders, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home of Hereford. Mr. Rickman was born in Hereford. He was employed as a commercial truck driver and was a member of First Baptist Church. During the Vietnam War, he served in the Marines. Survivors include a son, Steven Rickman of Hereford; his parents, Floyd and Maxine Rickman of Hereford; a brother, Dwight Rickman of Hereford; and two sisters, Carol Lovan of Durant, Okla., and Donna Rickman of Hereford. The family suggests memorials be to Ray Sanders Ministries. Elaine Jones Wilson SHAMROCK - Elaine Jones Wilson, 72, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Shamrock Cemetery with Cottie Tarbet officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mrs. Wilson was born in Broken Arrow, Okla., and had lived in Shamrock most of her life. She had worked as a waitress for several restaurants and was a member of the Church of Christ. She married Bob Wilson at Shamrock. Survivors include her husband and a sister, Lynn Sheegog of Amarillo. Amarillo Katherine W. Hogan Katherine W. Hogan, 87, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bell Avenue Baptist Church, 5211 Bell St., with the Rev. Danny Logan of the church officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum East by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Hogan was born in Ballinger and moved to Amarillo in 1966 from Borger. She was a homemaker and a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church. She married Raymond Hogan in 1959 at Gruver. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, and by a daughter, Maxine Langley, in 1966. Survivors include two sons, Bob Hogan of Pampa and Justin Hogan of Abilene; two brothers, Bob Whitaker of El Paso and Doc Whitaker of Roswell, N.M.; a sister, Corrine Halbert of El Paso; six grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. Phyllis Ann Lowe Phyllis Ann Lowe, 55, a former Amarillo resident, died Friday, July 16, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo with Phil Mercado, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Lowe was born in Amarillo where she lived most of her life. She was a homemaker and had moved to Colorado in November. She married Bobby Lowe in 1981. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Stephanie Howe of Castle Rock, Colo.; three sisters, Paula Oliver and Wilma Higginbotham, both of Amarillo, and Trish Mansfield of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; three stepchildren, Lynn Arrends and Thelma Busk, both of Letcher, S.D., and Bobby Lowe Jr. of Chicago; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Trinity Fellowship Church. Beverly Slaughter Beverly Slaughter, 80, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 18, 1999. Vigil services will be at 7:30 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1200 S. Washington, with the Rev. Ken Keller officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Slaughter was born in Ranger and had lived in Amarillo for 50 years. She was a supporter of the Downtown Women's Center and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She married John Slaughter in 1936 at Eastland. He died in 1991. Survivors include three sons, John Richard Slaughter of Dalhart, Steve W. Slaughter of Gonzales and David Slaughter of Ames, Iowa; three daughters, D'Ann Moutos of Amarillo, Sallie Wheeler of Sugar Land and Nancy Campbell of Azle; and nine grandchildren. The family will greet friends from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. today prior to the vigil service at the funeral home. They suggest memorials be to Downtown Women's Center, Inc., 405 S. Monroe St., Amarillo, TX 79101. Marcella D. McClellan Marcella D. McClellan, 80, of Amarillo, died Monday, July 19, 1999. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. McClellan was born in Amarillo where she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She married R.H. McClellan in 1935 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Marcelline Flemins of Panhandle and Darline Potts of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Eric Miller Eric Miller, 7, of Bushland, died Monday, July 19, 1999. Services will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenwood, S.C. Local memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 30 in Grace Community Church with Rick Keeling officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. Mr. Miller was born in Joliet, Ill. He lived in Chicago before moving to Bushland in March. He was a member of Grace Community Church. Survivors include his parents, Wade and Caroline Miller of Bushland; a brother, Alan Miller of the home; a sister, Sarah Miller of the home; and his grandparents, Frank and Inge Miller of Dillon, S.C., and Jeanne Shealy of Greenwood. New Mexico Lela Alice Hodgson Carroll Celsor CLOVIS, N.M. - Lela Alice Hodgson Carroll Celsor, 84, died Friday, July 16, 1999. Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church at Sentinel, Okla. Burial was in Retrop Cemetery at Retrop, Okla., by McClure Funeral Home of Sentinel. Mrs. Celsor was born in Orr, Okla., and raised in southwestern Oklahoma in the community of Retrop, where she attended school. In 1929, she married Elmer Charles "E.C." Carroll. They lived in Port Neches, Texas, for 25 years, where she managed the local elementary school cafeteria. She retired in 1970 and moved to Sentinel. He died in 1975. She married Omar Celsor in 1984 at Sentinel. He died in 1990. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Howard of Clovis; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-greatgranddaughter. Velry Pauline Crawford CLOVIS, N.M. - Velry Pauline "Polly" Crawford, 82, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mrs. Crawford was born in Buchanan, Tenn. She lived in Michigan and moved to Roswell in 1943. After her husband's retirement from the Air Force in 1964, they moved to El Paso and, in 1983, she moved to Clovis. She was of the Methodist faith. She married Maurice Norman Crawford in 1936 at Metropolis, Ill. Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Blakeley of Clovis; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Catherine Dobson CLOVIS, N.M. - Catherine "Kitty" Dobson, 58, died Monday, July 19, 1999. Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in The Chapel with Dr. Frank Sherman officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Mrs. Dobson was born in South Kingston, R.I., and moved to Clovis in 1973. She was a licensed practical nurse, a Clovis Community College graduate and of the Christian faith. Survivors include her husband, Mike Nace; two sons, Tim Dobson of Las Cruces and Tom Dobson of Las Vegas; a daughter, Patti Dobson of Clovis; a brother, Tommy Beatrice of Wakefield, R.I.; and a grandchild.
