Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Reed-Culver Funeral Home Chapel at Tahlequah, Okla., with Raberne Squyres officiating. Burial was in Holland Cemetery. Mrs. White was born in Guthrie, Okla. She married Hogeon D. White in 1933 at Tahlequah. They lived in Hulbert, Okla., for 32 years where they ran a dairy farm. They moved to Dumas in 1965. Survivors include her husband; three brothers, Luther Snook of Dumas, O.J. "Red" Snook of Fritch and Harold "Doug" Snook of Sunray; and two sisters, Violet Candle of Augusta, Kan., and Bobbie Lou Ward of Fort Worth. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 23, 1999 Kermit G. Howard SHAMROCK - Kermit G. Howard, 89, of Haslet, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church in Shamrock with Mark Howard, grandson, of Mead, Wash., officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mr. Howard was born in Branch, Ark., and lived in Shamrock from 1928 until 1951. He then moved to Ozark, Ark., where he operated a dairy farm. For the past 10 years he lived in Haslet. He was a member of the Baptist church. He married Bonnie in 1953 at Booneville, Ark. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, Dean Howard, in 1984. Survivors include three daughters, Billie Hollingsworth of El Paso, Joanna Young of Haslet and Louanna King of Hurst; a brother, Raymond Howard of Arkansas; and a sister, Wanda Matthews of Arkansas. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mrs. Hensley was born in Comanche, Okla., and lived in Amarillo from 1954 until moving to Wheeler in 1993. She was a beauty operator and member of the Texas Association of Cosmetology. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Hensley, in 1995. Survivors include a brother, J.O. Reynolds of Corpus Christi; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In 1980 she moved to Muleshoe from Lazbuddie. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Muleshoe. She married Delter Wenner in 1941 at McKinney. He died in 1992. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 23, 1999 Leonard Clyde Lyle DUMAS - Leonard Clyde Lyle, 85, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Dumas Cemetery with the Rev. Don Selman, pastor of the First Christian Church of Dumas, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas. Mr. Lyle was born in Alice and moved to Moore County in 1943. He lived in Cactus until moving to Dumas in 1967. He retired as a shift supervisor after 31 years with Phillips Petroleum. He was a 32nd degree Mason for more than 50 years and served as past master of the Sunray lodge. He was a worthy patron of the Eastern Star and a member of both the Dumas Noon Lions Club and the First Christian Church. He married Catherine Crawford in 1935 at Hollis, Okla. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Betty Barber, Barbara Lyle and Karen Rector; a son, Leonard Lyle Jr.; two sisters, Helen Smith and Evelyn Mae Cline; six grandchildren; and a greatgranddaughter. Mrs. Shaw was born in Thayer, Mo., and had lived in Pampa since 1942. She was a homemaker and a member of The Carpenter's Church. She married Lonzo Shaw in 1930 at Drumright, Okla. He died in 1983. Survivors include five daughters, Lillian Chesher and Mary Louise Denham, both of Pampa; Geneva Thompson of Boerne, Virginia Kay Ridgway of Mobeetie and Darleen Asencio of White Deer; four sons, Lee Roy Shaw, Vinson Lee Shaw and Jackie Dean Shaw, all of Pampa, and William Edward Shaw of Marana, Ariz.; three sisters, Mabel Adams and Artie Harrington, both of Pampa, and Irene Rogers of Wheeler; a brother, C.H. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 23, 1999 Willie Freudenrich PAMPA - Willie "Bill" Freudenrich, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Darrell W. Evans, pastor of First Christian Church of Miami, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Freudenrich was born in Hastings, Okla., and was a longtime resident of Shamrock. He moved to Pampa in 1942 where he worked for Frank Dial Service Station for 14 years as a large engine mechanic. In 1968 Mr. Freudenrich became selfemployed, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the First Christian Church. His first marriage was to Donnie Oglesby in 1930 at Sayre, Okla. She died in 1987. His second marriage was in 1988 to Mavis Dedmon at Pampa. She died in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Moore of Pampa; a son, J.L. "Jim" Freudenrich of Pampa; a sister, Merle Scobey of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Scott was born in Washington, D.C., where he graduated from McKinley High School and Strayer Business College. He attended American University. He entered the Army Air Corps in 1942 at Washington, retiring 25 years later at Amarillo Air Force Base as a senior master sergeant. Among other overseas assignments, he served with the Air Attache service at the U.S. Embassy at Karachi, Pakistan. In 1992, Mr. Scott retired after 24 years at Pantex for Mason & Hanger-Silas Mason Co. He married Margaret Firth-Eagland of Canada. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marlene E. During World War II she worked as a forklift operator and at the ammunitions plant at Oakland, Calif. She had been a hairdresser for 30 years. She was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church and Naomi Sunday School class. She was a volunteer for the Ronald McDonald House and was a member of Baptist St. Anthony's Auxiliary. She was active in the Parkinson's Support Group. She married Charles Holcomb in 1942. He died in 1993. Survivors include a son, Scott Holcomb of Brock; two daughters, Cindy Lickey of Amarillo and DeAnna Palmer of Lubbock; a sister, Dorothy Mitchell of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He retired in 1972 and moved to Clovis. He married Addie Smith in 1927 at Poughkeepsie, Ark. She preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Jo Ann in 1939 and Annette in 1940. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Pampa. Mr. Pillers was born in Twitty and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He farmed near Twitty from 1947 until 1956. He lived in Pensacola, Fla., where he worked for Borden Milk Co. for 31 years, retiring as a general manager in 1987. Mr. Pillers was a member of the Church of Christ and the Lions Club of Pensacola. He lived in several towns before moving to Lubbock in 1989. He married Norma Charlene Wilson in 1940 at Sayre, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sherry Carlson of Pampa; a son, Gary Pillers of Lubbock; a sister, Zelma Ellerbee of Hastings, Neb.; a brother, Morris Allen Pillers of South Fork, Colo.; three grandsons; and two great-granddaughters. A private celebration of his life was held Friday, Dec. 17, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Houston. Arrangements were by Claire Brothers Funeral Home of Houston. Mr. Beard was born and raised in Clarendon where he graduated from high school in 1943. During World War II he served in the Navy. In 1953 he moved to Odessa. Mr. Beard retired as postmaster in Canyon after 35 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Odessa and was a Boy Scout troop leader. He married Anna Beth Combest in 1950. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Tamara Mapp and Tracey Beard, both of Houston, and Connie White of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She lived in Dalhart, Amarillo and Canyon before moving to Lubbock in 1969. In 1988 she moved to Carrollton. She was a homemaker and member of Forrest Heights United Methodist Church. She married Menno Henry Nitengale in 1939. He died in 1968. Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Bingham of Dallas, Kathryn Sue Nitengale of San Antonio and Mary Callahan of Lewisville; and four grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 7 until 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
