Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the B.P.O.E. Lodge at Gallup, N.M., with members of the lodge officiating. Arrangements are by CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Moore was born in Ector and moved with his family to Hereford when he was a child. He graduated from Hereford High School and attended Texas A&M at College Station and Texas Tech University at Lubbock. He married Bertha Loraine Dyer in 1933 at Sayre, Okla. He had worked for the city of Lockney and later worked for the Schneider Hotel at Panhandle and the Schneider Hotel at Pampa. In 1938, Mr. Moore became manager of the El Rancho Hotel in Gallup and his wife operated the gift shop. From 1944 to 1951, they owned and operated the Chief Gift Shop and Indian Jewelry Store in downtown Gallup. After selling the business, he served as manager of the Elks Club in Gallup until 1966. He then worked as an accountant for J.B. Walker and Associates until his retirement in 1980. Mr. Moore returned to Pampa in 1994. He was preceded in death by his wife on March 17. He was a charter member of Elks Lodge No. 1440 at Gallup. Survivors include three nieces, Barbara Williams of Pampa and Jerilyn Moore and Linda Cavigilia, both of Fresno, Calif.; and two nephews, John Moore of Alameda, Calif., and James Moore of California. The family requests memorials be to Central Baptist Church Building Fund or Crown of Texas Hospice. The body will not be available for viewing. Dott Boatman FRIONA - Dott Boatman, 85, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Friona Cemetery with Leon Talley officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home. Mrs. Boatman was born in Haskell County and had lived in Friona since 1928. She married Gilbert R. Boatman in 1942 at Brownwood. He died in 1998. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Marie Roden of Friona; and a special friend, Anna Jo Blackburn. Ronnie Lee Martin PERRYTON - Ronnie Lee Martin, 60, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Key Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Staton officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Martin was born in Sayre, Okla. He had owned and operated a grocery story in Leedey, Okla., for five years. He moved to Perryton 31 years ago from Oklahoma. He married Barbara Flenner in 1958 at Cheyenne, Okla. He was an oil field worker and retired from Amoco in 1990. He then founded Martin Production Services with his two sons. Mr. Martin was a member of Key Heights Baptist Church and had served as music director there and at several other churches. He also was a deacon and served on various committees at Key Heights. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Marty Martin and Tim Martin, both of Perryton; his parents, Lloyd and Margie Martin of Crawford, Okla.; three sisters, Lloydelle Lester and Sue Pearson, both of Amarillo, and Christi Lanier of Lawrence, Kan.; and a brother, Joe Don Martin of Fresno, Calif. The family suggests memorials be to Key Heights Baptist Church Building Fund in Perryton; Victory Family Church Junior High Youth Group in Perryton; or a favorite charity. Larry McQueen MEMPHIS - Larry McQueen, 70, died Thursday, July 22, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Neely Landrum officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery by Memphis Funeral Home. Mr. McQueen was born in the Salisbury community and had lived in Hall County all his life. He had been a Memphis resident for 36 years. He graduated from high school in Memphis and attended Arlington State College. He married Dora Mitchell in 1948 at Memphis. He was a third-generation farmer. In the 1960s, he helped organize Hall County Young Farmers. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a charter member of Hightower Sunday School Class and a member of the Methodist choir. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sandra Barrows of Roanoke; his mother, Violet McQueen of Memphis; and two brothers, Kenneth McQueen of Oklahoma City and Jerry McQueen of Kingwood. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church or Crown of Texas Hospice. R.F. Shull BORGER - R.F. Shull, 87, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Westlawn Memorial Park with Mary Ingram officiating. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Shull was born in Bentley, Okla., and moved to Borger in 1942 from Wichita Falls. He retired as a pipefitter at Phillips Copolymer. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Othella Shull, in 1984. Survivors include two sons, Gerald Shull of Borger and Bill Shull of Fritch; a sister, Pauline Clemmons of Holliday; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Alice Thompson COTTON CENTER - Alice Brown Thompson, 95, died Thursday, July 22, 1999, Lubbock. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Land, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemmons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Thompson was born in Navarro County, Oklahoma Territory. She moved to Plainview in 1920 and graduated from Plainview High School as class valedictorian. She attended Wayland Baptist College. She married Lewis Franklin Thompson in 1923 at Olton. He died in 1992. Mrs. Thompson moved to Cotton Center in the mid-1920s and had lived in her present home for 66 years. She had worked as a bookkeeper at the gin owned by her father, John Calhoun Brown, who had donated land for Cotton Center school and the First Baptist Church. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunbeams and Sunday school. She also was a member of the Cotton Center Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include two daughters, Davene Sageser of Cotton Center and Sharon Thomas of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Dee Anna Castor WELLINGTON - Dee Anna Roberts Castor, 57, formerly of Wellington, died Wednesday, July 21, 1999, in Graham. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. James McLeod, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Castor was born in Eastland. She lived in Wellington until moving in 1994 to Newcastle. She married Arthur Castor in 1994 at Wellington. She was a homemaker and part-time employee of the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Marianne Hill of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Carrie Lea Castor of Fort Worth; a stepson, Arthur Castor Jr. of Fort Worth and Michael Lee Castor of Oklahoma City; her mother, Dorothea Dee Roberts of Houston; a sister, Violet Lee Sharp of Denton; two brothers, Thomas Anthony Roberts of Conroe and Wendell Harrison Roberts of Houston; and three grandchildren. Fliptian Lott Patterson WHEELER - Fliptian Lott Patterson, 64, died Thursday, July 22, 1999, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby Henson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home. Mrs. Patterson was born in Perryton and moved to Wheeler in 1945. She attended Wheeler High School. She married W.J. "Dub" Patterson in 1951 at Wellington. He died in 1987. She had served on the board of the Wheeler Ex-Students and Teachers Association. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served on the hostess committee and was a member of Ruth Sunday school class. She taught Sunday school for pre-school children. Survivors include a daughter, Dolores Simmons of Wheeler; a son, Tim Patterson of Liberal, Kan.; her mother, Agnes Lott of Wheeler; two sisters, Peggy Hunt and Ruth Edwards, both of Wheeler; and three grandchildren. Amarillo Marissa Dae Singleterry Marissa Dae Singleterry, infant daughter of Clay and Holly Singleterry of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 14, 1999. The family will be at 4320 Canyon Drive No. C-28. George H. Mudgett George H. Mudgett, 95, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, 315 E. Fifth Ave. Mr. Mudgett was born in Princeton, Minn., and was a dairyman most of his life. He moved to Amarillo four years ago. He married his wife, Mabel, in 1928. She died in 1997. Survivors include a son, Dale Mudgett of Amarillo; two daughters, Gretchen Carlson of Milaca, Minn., and Sandy Classen of Alvin; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Gerita Davis Gerita Davis, 39, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 10, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Zion Baptist Church, 118 S. Van Buren, with the Rev. James L. Mrs. Moore was born in Hawkins then moved to Greenville. In 1954, she moved to Amarillo, where she was a homemaker and member of Jerusalem Church of God in Christ. Survivors include six sons, Robert L. Gipson of Denver, Jerry D. Gipson of Fort Worth, Albert L. Gipson Jr., Willie E. Gipson and Dexter K. Gipson, all of Amarillo, and Kevin Gipson of Houston; four daughters, Bedell Hicks of Morton, Annie L. Coleman of Fort Carson, Colo., Lois L. Jones of Altus, Okla., and Evon Gipson of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Lillie Ruth Hill of Amarillo; two brothers, Leo Waffer and George Waffer of Greenville; a sister, Ruthie L. Waffer of Greenville; 30 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1101 N. Madison. Glen Green Glen Green, 70, of Wildorado, died Thursday, July 15, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Palo Duro Cemetery in Wildorado with the Rev. Bill Austin, a retired Baptist minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Green was born in Pueblo, Colo., and served with the Army during the Korean war. Twelve years ago, he moved to Wildorado. He retired as a diesel mechanic for Brucker Truck Sales. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Green, in 1979. Survivors include a son, Noel Green of Pennsylvania; his mother, Floyce Green of Wildorado; two brothers, Alfred N. Green Jr. of Wildorado and William E. Green of Amarillo; a sister, Mary L.
