Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Field, of Southeast Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo. Mr. Shoop was born in Twitty. He retired from Plumbers, Pipefitters and Sprinklefitters No. 598 and the Southern California Pipe Trades at Los Angeles. He served in the Army. He was a member of Washington State Race Horse Commission and the Odd Fellows Lodge 338 where he served as vice grand. Mr. Shoop served on the board of hearing directors for the city of Benton City. He was a member of Kennewick Eagles Lodge 2485, the American Quarter Horse Association and of the First Baptist Church, Southern Affiliate. He retired from Disneyland, Calif. Survivors include his wife, Anita; a daughter, Carolyn Shoop of Anaheim; two stepsons, Keith Krisher of Benton City and Kraig Krisher of Richland; a stepdaughter, Kay Lawson; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren. Mr. Crawford was born in Colorado City. He married Myrtle Frances Bundren in 1946 at Tucumcari, N.M. He served in the Army during World War II in the South Pacific. He had been the owner and operator of Crawford Neon Sign Co. in Amarillo for 40 years. He was a member of the men's bowling association, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife; and numerous nephews and nieces. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 23, 1999 Mary Margaret Teter Mary Margaret Teter, 70, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999. Cremation was handled by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. The family will hold visitation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Private committal will be at a later date. Mrs. Teter was born at the family home near Lipscomb. She attended school in Lipscomb and graduated from Darrouzett High School in 1947. Most of her life she spent in the Panhandle area. She married A.C. Teter in 1952 and they moved to Amarillo in 1966. She was a homemaker and an antique collector/dealer, retiring from the business in 1995. She was a member of the Lipscomb Union Church. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Curtis of Colorado Springs, Colo., Clay of Charlotte, N.C., and Kevin of Amarillo; a sister, Mona Bussard of Lipscomb; two brothers, Kenzy Turner and Kay Turner, both of Lipscomb; and eight grandchildren. Osage St. Mrs. Buckhanan was born in Amarillo where she had lived most of her life. She retired in 1995. Survivors include a brother, Filbert Cook of Germany; and a sister, Velvin Porter of Amarillo. Goodwin C.M. "Mike" Goodwin, 71, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery, East Mausoleum, with the Rev. Walt Ellis, pastor of Forest Hill Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Goodwin was born in Negro, N.M., and had live in Amarillo for the past 45 years. He was a veteran of the Army and Navy. After 39 years of service, he retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone. He was a member of Southwestern Bell Pioneers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Goodwin, in 1998. Survivors include two sisters in Arizona; a nephew, Mike Johnson of Amarillo; and three nieces, Phyllis Miranda, Mary Toponce and Clara Duncan, all of Amarillo. The family will be at 2312 Larry. In 1929, Mrs. Wilson moved to Amarillo where she was employed by Murry Watts Studio as a portrait tinter. She was a homemaker and member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. In the mid1980s, she moved to El Paso. Survivors include three step-grandsons; and special friends, Larry and Belinda Winters, Kristee Washburn and Mindy and Bailey Forbes. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronald Ford of Amarillo; a brother, James Vernon Ford of Dalhart; and two grandchildren. He was a member of Life of Praise Fellowship. He married Mary Griffin in 1954 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Lamberson, in 1981. She graduated from Whiting High School at Whiting, Ind. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church of Pampa. She moved to Black Diamond in 1990. She married Fred Symonds in 1945 at Whiting. He died in 1977. She was a longtime Hereford resident. She married Melvin Cordray in 1932 at Sheridan. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son. She had previously worked in the nursery at First Baptist Church and had been employed by the Irish Inn in Shamrock. Her first marriage was to Gordon Dale Alley in 1972 at Hattiesburg, Miss. He died in 1984. In 1985, she married Tomas Johnson at Wheeler. He died in 1988. Survivors include a son, Daniel Alley of McLean; a daughter, Wendy Alley of Wheeler; two sisters, Velma Carpenter of Indiana and Emma Swigart of Mobeetie; and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Hammond was born in Swearingen and was a graduate of Hedley High School. A Hardeman County resident for most of her life, she was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She married Everett Richmond Hammond in 1935 at Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984 and by a daughter, Marilyn Jo Fitzpatrick, in 1998. Mrs. Terrell was born in Waxahachie and moved to the Aiken community in 1914 where she attended school. During her last year of high school, she moved to Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1925. After her marriage, she and her husband farmed in the Prairieview and Edmonson communities until moving to Bellview community in 1934. She moved to Plainview in 1996. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Methodist Missionary Society, Home Demonstration Club and the Knife and Fork Club. She married Clayton C. Terrell in 1926 at Plainview. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989 and by a son, Floyd Terrell, in April. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Faye Glover of Lubbock; a son, Cloyce Marshall Terrell of Sunray; a brother, Marvin Glenn Marshall of Plainview; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Joseph was born in Denver and moved to Floydada when he was a few months old. In October, he moved to Plainview where he was in the first grade at Hillcrest Elementary School. Survivors include his parents, Joe Edward Castaneda and Frances Nieto, both of Floydada; a brother, Joe Anthony Castaneda of Floydada; two sisters, his twin, Amanda Jean Castaneda, and Samantha Ochoa, both of Floydada; his grandmothers, Herlinda Castaneda of Floydada and Rebecca Ochoa of Lubbock; and his great-grandmothers, Maria G. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Friona Cemetery with the Rev. Alvin Petty, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Friona, officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. Fulgham moved to Friona in 1959 from Petersburg. She was a homemaker and member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Friona Rebekah Lodge. She married Weldon B. Fulgham in 1929 at Waurika, Okla. He died in 1988. Survivors include a son, Jack Fulgham of Bowling Green, Ky.; two daughters, Jo Anne Thomas of Clovis, N.M., and Jane Kent of Logan, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 23, 1999 Gerald Peters PLAINVIEW - Gerald Peters, 88, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Max Downing, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Dr. Peters was born in Flynn and moved to Levelland in 1925 where he graduated from high school in 1928. He graduated from Wayland College in 1930 and received his bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University in 1945. In 1950, he received his master's degree, and received his doctorate of philosophy in 1958. Dr. Peters was listed in Who's Who in Higher Education and Personalities of the Southwest. He taught in public school and served as an administrator for 18 years. From 1950 until 1956, he was junior high principal then went to Texas Tech in adult education. He was professor of psychology and counselor at Panhandle State University for 17 years. In 1976, he retired as dean of the liberal arts division. After his retirement, Dr. Peters returned to Plainview. He was active in promoting the building of the Hale County Senior Citizens Center, where he was director for six years and served on the board of directors for 16 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Arch Keys Masonic Lodge, Hale County Retired Teachers and Phi Delta Kappa. He had served on the Salvation Army board, the district Boy Scouts council and was a member of the Lions Club. He married Maxine Hoyle at Plainview. His first marriage was in 1934 to Mary Pruitt. She died in 1950. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Billie Loyd of California and Nita Scoler of Lawrence, Kan.; a son, Mark Peters of Lenexa, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
