Services will be at 2 p.m. today in The First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Hancock, minister of Lincoln Street Baptist Church in Dalhart, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Dalhart by Hass Funeral Home. Mrs. Gower was born in Roxton and graduated from Roxton High School. She moved to Dalhart in 1966. She worked as a bookkeeper for Lyn Bragg for more than 20 years. She also worked for the school cafeteria, retiring in 1994. She married Troy Lee Gower in 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, by a son, E.L. Gower in 1998 and a daughter, Georgie Gower in November. Survivors include a son, Roger Dale Gower of Dumas; five daughters, Pat Martinez and Joyce Ortiz, both of Dalhart, Janet Cookenour of Gruver, Sharon Davis of Weatherford and Sandra Moorehead of Bonita, Calif.; two sisters, Melanese Bonner and Helen Morgan, both of Paris, Texas; four brothers, J.D. Gentry of Baytown, George Gentry of Garland and Billy Ray Gentry and Randall Gentry, both of Paris; 31 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-grandchild. The family requests memorials be to Meals on Wheels of Dalhart. They will be at the home of Pat Martinez, 902 Denrock. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 24, 1999 Genoveva Flores Mendoza MULESHOE - Genoveva Flores "Beba" Mendoza, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Augustine, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Mrs. Mendoza was born in Batesville and moved to Muleshoe in the late 1960s from Crystal City. She was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She married Jesus J. Mendoza in 1969 at Muleshoe. He died in 1984. Survivors include two sons, Arthur Esquivel Sr. of Muleshoe and Joe Luis Flores of Phoenix; two daughters, Rosa Hernandez of Muleshoe and Angie Lopez of Gruver; three sisters, Dominga Blanco of Moses Lake, Wash., and Lucia Rocha and Florinda Davalos, both of Crystal City; three brothers, Elijio Flores of Crystal City, Fabian Flores of West Fargo, N.D., and Mike Flores of Dumas; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Leatherman was born in Lampasas and lived in Tulia most of her life. She graduated from Tulia High School and attended Amarillo College. She was a member of Central Church of Christ in Tulia. She married Mark Leatherman in 1996 at Tulia. Survivors include her husband; her mother, Beth Gage of Tulia; her father and stepmother, Walter and Leonida Whiteley of Blanchard, Okla.; two sisters, her twin Laura Steffens and Jeanie Whiteley, both of Prattville, Ala.; a brother, Cecil Whiteley of Yukon, Okla.; a halfsister, Kaylen Whiteley of Blanchard; three half-brothers, Joshua Whiteley of Tulia and Walter Whiteley and Dakota Whiteley, both of Blanchard; and her grandfather, Hack Whiteley of Blanchard. No services are planned at this time. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Ms. Pedrick was born in Clarksburg, W.Va. In October, she moved to Amarillo from Burlington, Wash. Survivors include two daughters, Robin Ford of Stevensville, Mont., and Gwen Guerrero of Amarillo; two sons, Ed Dunahee of Kalispell, Mont., and Bill Backus of Washington; her parents, Rusty and Roxanne Downing of Burlington; a sister, Edith Bloom of Peoria, Ariz.; three brothers, Charles Conner of Concrete, Wash., and David Downing and Rocky Downing, both of Lyman, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Community with the Rev. Daniel Balizan officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Ms. Lopez was born in Clovis where she was a restaurant cook. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Jaime Lopez of Clovis; her mother, Lucy Lopez of Clovis; a brother, Christopher Lopez of Clovis; two sisters, Danisha Kaminsky of Clovis and Coretta Craig of Houston; and a grandson. Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 24, 1999 Elsewhere Dick G. Ingram AUSTIN - Dick G. Ingram, 49, of Lytton Springs and formerly of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999. Burial Mass will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in San Francisco Javier Church, 9110, Highway 183 South in Austin. Arrangements are by Wilkie-Clay-Fish Funeral Home of Austin. Born in Wellington, Mr. Ingram was raised in Amarillo where he graduated from Tascosa High School in 1969. He attended Texas Tech University on a football scholarship before graduating from Baylor University School of Law. After graduation, he joined the 1100-member Texas Municipal League as assistant general counsel, later becoming general counsel. In 1980, Mr. Ingram became chief executive officer and general counsel of the Gulf Coast Conservation Association. In 1986, he joined the national law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld to represent their Austin interests. The Dallas Morning News named Mr. Ingram as one of the top 10 lobbyists in Texas. He was a partner at Akin, Gump before leaving to establish the Polan-Ingram Advocacy Group. Mr. Ingram was a member of the State Bar of Texas, the American Quarter Horse Association, the Coastal Conservation Association, the Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and the National Cutting Horse Association. He lived on his ranch in Lytton Springs, south of Austin, where he raised cutting horses and cattle. Survivors include his wife, Maya Garcia Ingram; five children, Paige, Barrett, Brittany, Andie and Cristie, all of Lytton Springs; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ingram of Amarillo; and two brothers, Tom Ingram of Arlington and Harry Ingram of Amarillo.
