Memorial graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery with Dr. James Garrett of Polk Street United Methodist Church and Stephen L. Aubrey, a grand-nephew of Seattle, officiating. Cremation will be at Memory Gardens Crematory. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, 315 E. Fifth Ave. Mrs. Chunn was born in Glenville, Neb., and later moved to Artesia, N.M. She attended Clarendon College then returned to Atoka, N.M. to teach. With her husband, she then moved to Clarendon and ran an electrical business. During World War II, Mrs. Chunn worked for Southwestern Public Service Co., retiring when she was 65. She had lived in Groom, White Deer and Amarillo, where she was a longtime member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. She was a 20-year volunteer with St. Anthony's Auxiliary and hosted an annual Christmas party in her home through her 90th birthday. She married C. Buford Chunn in 1925 at Roswell, N.M. He died in 1966. Survivors include a sister, Margaret Hastings of Billings, Mont. The body will not be available for viewing. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. James W. Turner James W. Turner, 94, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the Johnson Chapel A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Phillip Randle, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mr. Turner was born in Gilmer, where he attended schools. He moved to Amarillo in 1946. He was employed by Asarco, retiring in 1972. He also worked with McKnight Transfer and Storage and Curry Motor Freight Lines. Survivors include three sons, Dizzy Turner, Johnny L. Turner and Benny Turner, all of Amarillo; three daughters, Helen P. Thornton, Patricia Ann Jackson and Anna J. Turner, all of Dallas; 22 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 621 Carnegie Place. Louise Barrett Louise Barrett, 62, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999. She was involved with the Girl Scouts of America and coached fifth- and sixth-grade softball. She married Lee Barrett in 1959 in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by Mr. Winters in 1997 and by a son, Clyde Wayne Winters, in 1979. In 1965, he moved to Amarillo where he retired as transit manager for the City of Amarillo in 1998. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Mr. Pelton served as past president and vice-president of the Southwest Football Officials Association, Amarillo chapter. He was an official from 1966 until 1992. He was awarded the Jerry Murphy Memorial Award for officials in Division III and IV in 1968. In 1974, he was received the Robert Frazier Memorial award for officials in Division I and II. He was awarded life membership in Southwest Football Officials Association in 1994. He married Robbin Drennan in 1957 at Childress. Georgia St. Mr. Litsch graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1952. He was a licensed pharmacist in Texas and Oklahoma and served in the Army. For several years, he lived in Hereford where he owned a drug store. In 1961, Mr. Litsch moved to Amarillo where he owned and operated VolleLitsch Pharmacy. He was former president of the West Texas Pharmaceutical Association and a member of the Serra Club and Rotary Club of Hereford. He was a founding family member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He married Lois Mazurek in 1963 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jeffrey Jay Litsch of West Hollywood, Calif., and Timothy Lew Litsch of Dallas; and a brother, Joe Litsch of Duncan, Okla. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mr. Reynolds was born in Morrilton, Ark. He served in the Army during World War II. In 1949, he and his wife to Allison from Pampa. A farmer and rancher, Mr. Reynolds was recognized by the Wheeler Chamber of Commerce as Farmer/Rancher of the Year in 1967. He served on the board of trustees at the Allison Independent School District for six years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon for 41 years. He married Nadene Burress in 1943 at Mobeetie. Mr. Goodwin was a cotton farmer in Cottle and King counties. He served on the Paducah City Council and was a director and officer of the Paducah Golf Club. He was a lifetime resident of Cottle County. He married Joyce Peacock in 1948 at Paducah. Beulah McGlaun TULIA - Beulah McGlaun, 93, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Tulia with the Rev. Charles Davenport of the church officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia. Mrs. McGlaun moved to Tulia in 1916 where she attended school and graduated with honors from Tulia High School. She graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree in education from West Texas State College. At the age of 76, Mrs. McGlaun retired after 46 years of teaching in Groom, Pampa, Canadian, Dumas and Tulia. She also was a counselor both in school and at her church, First Baptist Church of Tulia. Mrs. McGlaun was honored as Teacher of the Day and as Outstanding Teacher Alumni of West Texas State College. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star where she served as worthy matron. She married Monroe McGlaun who died in 1973. Her first marriage was to Claude Dyer. Survivors include a son, Robert B. Dyer of Houston; two stepdaughters, Marion Thompson and Barbara Richter of Amarillo; a sister, Pauline Dreher of Las Cruces, N.M.; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Roberts was born in High Point, N.C. He retired from the Air Force in 1965 and worked at Safeway Grocery Store. He married Nina Sherman in 1953 at Clovis. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Frances Lynn Roberts in 1971 and Karen Kight in 1991. She and her husband, Richard "Dick" McKinley, farmed and ranched in the Melrose community before moving to Clovis in 1965. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Frank. He married Guadalupe "Lupe" Huerta in 1974 at Clovis. She graduated from Yarbrough High School in 1984. She attended Hollywood Beauty College at Norman, Okla. Mrs. Williams worked as a teacher's aide and bus driver for Yarbrough School. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church at Elkhart and an organizer of the Cancer Survivors Group at Keyes. Elsewhere James Countryman SEMINOLE - James Countryman, 45, of Corpus Christi, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Funeral Home Chapel of Seminole with Dr. Lonnie Poe officiating. Burial will be in Gaines County Cemetery. Mr. Countryman was born in Lubbock and moved to Dalhart when he was in the eighth grade. He graduated from high school in 1973 at Dalhart. He attended West Texas State University until moving to Seminole in 1976. While in Seminole, Mr. Countryman attended New Mexico Junior College and became a certified paramedic. From 1982 until 1986, he was a volunteer for the Seminole EMS. He moved to Austin in 1986 where he was active in the Round Rock Masons and Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Countryman was employed by the Texas Department of Transportation in Seminole and Austin. In 1993, he moved to Corpus Christi. Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Jean Countryman of Midland; a sister, Theresa Gale Valdez of Hobbs, N.M.; and a brother, Harold Wayne Countryman of Midland.
