Mrs. Dettenhaim was born in Kirkland and moved from Daugherty to Quanah in 1951. She was a homemaker and a member of the Episcopal Church and the Garden Club. She married Otha Dettenhaim in 1949 at New Mexico. He died in 1991. Survivors include a son, Will Dettenhaim of Arlington; a sister, Faye Gregory of Floydada; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Balentine was born in Angelton and moved to the area from Albuquerque, N.M., in 1935. She was a homemaker and moved to Hansford Manor in 1986. She married J.M. "Mike" Balentine in 1936 at Albuquerque. He died in 1986. Her daughter, Barbara Knuckolls, died in 1994. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cuthand and the Order of Eastern Star.
