Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Haskell First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Hatfield and Merrell Bibby officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery by Holden-McCauley Funeral Home of Haskell. Local arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Swailes was born in Wise County. She lived in Sunray, Dumas and Amarillo before moving to Haskell after retiring. She returned to Amarillo in 1994. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Haskell and was a homemaker. She married James "Jess" Elmus Swailes in 1926 at Weinert. He died in 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Lou Hatfield and Wanda Bibby, both of Amarillo; a sister, Rubye Wooten of Haskell; two brothers, Russel Rainey of Weinert and Eulice Rainey of Kress; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Joyce King Joyce King, 60, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. King was born in Denison. She retired from customer service in Corporate Systems after working 15 years. Survivors include her husband, Jimmie P.; a daughter, Barbara Graber of Amarillo; two sons, Jimmie G. King of Boise, Idaho, and Grady King of Amarillo; a sister, Georgene Dorland of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. Juanita Ray Juanita Ray, 81, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia, with Loran Harper of Comanche Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Mrs. Ray was born in Lazar and lived in Vigo Park from 1962 until 1974 when she moved to Amarillo. She was a bookkeeper working with income tax for many years and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. She married John Arthur Ray in 1936 at Quanah. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974, a daughter, Judith Anjella Mangum, in 1995, and by a son, Larry Lee Ray, in 1986. Survivors include four sons, Roy H. Ray of Lockney, Don L. Ray and Jerry D. Ray, both of Amarillo, and Arthur Dell Ray of Plainview; two sisters, Margie Tolleson of Dimmitt and Helen Cokendolpher of Brownwood; a brother, Calvin M. Hyden of Sacramento, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Shane Ray Siegeler Shane Ray Siegeler, 27, of Amarillo, died Monday, March 22, 1999. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery with Max Beggs, pastor, and Jimmy Beggs, both of Caprock Christian Fellowship Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce St. Mr. Siegeler was born in Amarillo and lived here for 25 years. He attended Palo Duro High School and was self-employed in construction. He was a member of Bykota Baptist Church. Survivors include a special friend, Ms. Bobbye Eckert of Amarillo; a daughter, Whitnie Boeka-Siegeler of Amarillo; a son Shance Siegeler of Amarillo; his mother and stepfather, Linda and Mike Reed of Carrollton; a brother, Josh Siegeler of Amarillo; a stepbrother, Brady Reed of Carrollton; a stepsister, Rashele Martinez of Amarillo; his grandmother, Edith Siegeler of Amarillo; and his stepgrandparents, Eldon and Nell Reed of Amarillo; The family will be at 3508 Paramount from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and from 2 until 9 p.m. Friday. They suggest memorials be to Leukemia Society of American, Inc., 2651 N. Harwood, Suite 240, Dallas, TX 75201. Ira Overstreet Ira Overstreet, 71, of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 18, 1999. Services will be at noon Saturday in Progress Baptist Church in Bremond with the Rev. Larry Gray, associate pastor of Andrew Chapel Baptist Church in Groesbeck, officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Bremond with local arrangements by Warford-Walker Mortuary Inc., 509 N. Hughes St. Mr. Overstreet was born and raised in Bremond where he attended Charlie Love High School and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. After the war, Mr. Overstreet moved to Amarillo. In 1957, he was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and then transferred to the Midland office in 1961. He retired in 1983. Survivors include a daughter, Suzette Overstreet of Amarillo; two brothers, James Overstreet and Early Overstreet, both of Houston; and two sisters, Adell McIntosh and Willie Mae Gray, both of Bremond. Viewing will be from 3 until 9 p.m. today. Lillie C. Deason Lillie C. Deason, 84, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Scott E. Herbert, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Deason was born in Carney, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo since 1953. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She married Raymond E. Deason in 1936 at Edmond, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979 and by a daughter, Jeannie Hollabaugh, in 1998. Survivors include a son, Donald Deason of Amarillo; a daughter, JoAnn Petree of Oklahoma City; two sisters; a brother; seven grandchildren; and several greatgrandchildren. Eldred June H. Eldred, 87, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 7, 1999. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Trinity Fellowship Church Chapel with Gil Hiltbrunner, pastor, officiating. A memorial service was also held in Rock Island, Ill., on March 10. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Eldred was born in Chicago where she attended school. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin. She was active in the Girl Scouts, Edison School Parent-Teacher Organization, Trinity Episcopal Church Vestment Guild and was a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Eldred was in the Chapter JI, PEO, served on the Rock Island YWCA board including one term as president and was in Women's Aglow. In Amarillo, she was active in the Amarillo Garden Center and was secretary of the Living Soil Society. She married Giles A. Elred in 1938. He died in 1985. Survivors include three daughters, Judy Williams of Amarillo, Francie Lopez of Charlotte, N.C., and Diane Christensen of Moline, Ill; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Oklahoma Flora Helen Marie Oldaker TEXHOMA, Okla. - Flora Helen Marie Oldaker, 84, died Monday, March 22, 1999, at Tribune, Kan. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Christian Church of Texhoma with Mike Dumler, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Texhoma Cemetery by DawsonWelch Funeral Home. Mrs. Oldaker was born at the family home northwest of Texhoma. She graduated from Texhoma High School and later worked for the L.B. Field Agency and Dodson Dry Goods. She married Ira Oldaker in 1944 at Texhoma. They moved to a farm southwest of Texhoma in Sherman County, Texas, where they lived for 40 years before moving into Texhoma. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school and belonged to women's Christian organizations at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Sparks of Tribune; two brothers, Frank Berry Jr. and Ted Berry, both of Texhoma; four grandchildren; and two greatgranddaughters. Howard Ellis Mitchell GAGE, Okla. - Howard Ellis Mitchell, 82, a former Gage resident, died Saturday, March 20, 1999, at Prescott, Ariz. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lesly Broadbent officiating. Burial will be in Gage Memorial Cemetery by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Shattuck. Mr. Mitchell was born in Ellis County. He attended Luther Hill Country School, later transferring to Shattuck. He worked for Glen Hall Chevrolet for a while and in 1940 enlisted in the Army, serving during World War II. He married Laura McMannis in 1941 at Gage. They lived in various places while he served in the military. After his discharge, they lived in Prescott until moving to California. In 1982, they moved to Gage and in 1994 returned to Prescott. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a life member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also was active in the Rotary Club. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Marilyn Walker of Wickenburg, Ariz., Beverly Harry of Long Pine, Calif., and Linda Koch of Vista, Calif.; two brothers, Charles Mitchell of Wickenburg and Walter Mitchell of Woodward; two sisters, Eleanor McLaughin of Pollock Pines, Calif., and Evelyn Thomas of Woodward; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Allen William Orr TEXHOMA, Okla. - Allen William Orr, 27, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999 in San Francisco. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Texhoma High School auditorium with Mike Dumler, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Orr was born in Deming, N.M., where he graduated from Deming High School. He received his bachelor of education degree from Eastern New Mexico University and was scheduled to receive his master's degree in school administration in May. For five years, Mr. Orr taught fifth grade in Morton, Texas. This was his first year as principal of Texhoma Elementary. Survivors include his wife, Erica Nicole; his parents, Cleveland and Joyce Orr of Deming; a sister, Dell Stephenson of Lexington, Ky.; a brother, Doss Orr of Las Cruces, N.M.; two half brothers, David and Daniel of Arkansas; and his grandmother, Dixie Orr Bryan of Tennessee. The family suggests memorials be to a memorial fund at First National Bank of Texhoma, Okla. Elsewhere Ann Greathouse ARLINGTON - Ann Greathouse, 76, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel in Arlington. Burial will be in Moore Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Greathouse was born in Addington, Okla., and was raised in Amarillo. She lived in Lubbock for many years where she was a member of the Quaker Avenue Church of Christ and the Lubbock Stroke Club. In 1993, she moved to Arlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Greathouse, in 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Dean of Gloucester, N.C., and Darla Wisdom of Grand Prairie; a brother, Herschel Faust of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
