Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Sisemore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Allen was born in Moran. He attended schools in Petersburg and Ralls. He moved to the Sandhill community of Floyd County in 1944 and to Floydada from the Starkey community in 1952. He was a retired farmer and had worked in television sales and service. Mr. Allen was a former member of the National Guard. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 712. He married Joy Beatrice Grigsby in 1933 at Plainview. Survivors include his wife; a son, Lloyd Edgar Allen of Perryton; four daughters, Marion Frances Allen Lipps and Joy Naomi Allen Johnson, both of Farmington, N.M., and Patricia Ann Allen Battey and Debra Kay Allen Graham, both of Floydada; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Thelma Iru Farrar WHEELER - Thelma Iru Farrar, 92, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Wheeler Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Bartel, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home. Mrs. Farrar was born in Sidney. She had been a homemaker most of her life. She lived in Monahans from 1952 until 1984 when she moved to Plainview. Later in 1984, she moved to Wheeler. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church at Monahans. She married Alton Price Farrar in 1926 at Comanche. He died in 1985. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Melvin Farrar and Ward Farrar; a daughter, Joyce Baker; and a stepdaughter, Nita Spence. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Stanton of Pampa; a sister, Ona Milhorn of Amarillo; a brother, Reuben Ward of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Dolores Montez HEREFORD - Dolores Montez, 76, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. today in San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Domingo Castillo officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Montez was born in Salvatierra, Guanajuanto, Mexico. He worked in construction and on farms. He married Socorro Sanchez at Edenburg. They lived in Pharr for several years before moving to Hereford. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; a son, Pablo Cabbera of Mexico; two daughters, Estela Cabrera of Pharr and Angelica Castillo of Hereford; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Edith Saunders DUMAS - Edith Saunders, 92, of Lufkin, formerly of Dumas, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Dumas Cemetery with the Rev. R.L. Stevens, retired Assembly of God minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Saunders was born in Hutchinson, Kan., and moved to Lufkin several years ago from Dumas, where she had been a longtime resident. She was a homemaker and a retired secretary for Saunders Electric in Dumas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dumas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Reed Saunders; three sons, William Buffard Saunders, Lan Darl Saunders, and Daniel Saunders; three daughters, Edith Lois Cothern, Cloe Ellen Laughry, and Claire Saunders. Survivors include two daughters, Lynda Slagle and Virginia LaForge, both of Lufkin; a son, Lacey Saunders of Port Lavaca; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. B.B. Dyer PAMPA - B.B. "Bo" Dyer, 69, died Monday, April 26, 1999. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Dyer was born in Rush Springs, Okla., and moved to Pampa from Memphis in 1951. In 1992, he retired as a pipeline construction foreman. He was a member of Wells Street Church of Christ. He married Helen Ridings in 1950 at Memphis. Donna J. Engle Myers BORGER - Donna J. Engle Myers, 64, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Daniel Myers of Yukon, Okla., and David Myers of Borger; a daughter, Tamara Blakely of Borger; and nine grandchildren. She was a retired telephone operator and a member of the Church of Christ in Hobbs, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolf Christian Moe, in 1996. She is survived by an aunt, Nadine Neufeld of Borger. David Grimaldo PERRYTON - David Grimaldo, 18, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. Mr. Grimaldo was born and raised in Perryton. A senior at Perryton High School, he was scheduled to graduate this year. He was a member of Canaan Christian Church. Elizabeth Faye Smith WELLINGTON - Elizabeth Faye Smith, 75, of San Angelo, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mrs. Smith was born in Burkburnett and served in the Navy during World War II. She was a homemaker and member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in San Angelo. A former Wellington resident, she moved to San Angelo from Irving in 1991. She married O.C. Smith in 1968 at Grand Prairie. Survivors include her husband; a son, Mike Smith of Canyon; a daughter, Michelle Glenn of Lampasas; two stepdaughters, Joyce Braswell and Lillie Hatcher, both of Terrell; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five step-greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Kelley was born in Indian Territory. In 1946, she moved from Wheeler County to Dalhart. She then lived in Borger and Canyon before returning to Wheeler in 1997. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She married Clayton C. Kelley in 1928 at Wellington. Preceding her in death were her husband in 1984 and a son, Kenneth Doyle Kelley, in 1940. Survivors include two daughters, Zonell Beaty of Flower Mound and Lee Ann Bernard of Stow, Ohio; two brothers, Elvyn Clay of Richardson and E.L. "Cotton" Clay of Rye, Colo.; a sister, Estelle Hubbard of Wheeler; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Josie B. Simmons Josie B. Mrs. Simmons was born in Henderson County and had lived in Littlefield over 50 years. She moved to Amarillo in 1987. She was a homemaker. She married Glen Simmons in 1933 at Littlefield. He died in 1987. Survivors include three daughters, Jan Shannon and Tommye Phelan, both of Amarillo, and Mary Lemrick of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Frances Finklea of Longview; 10 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. David Clark Allton David Clark Allton, 86, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 24, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Ron Allton, retired pastor of First Christian Church at Stroud, Okla., officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Allton was born in Claremore, Okla. He worked for Phillips Petroleum Co., in Bartlesville, Okla., and was transferred to Borger in 1942. In 1947, he moved to Amarillo, where he began working with Southland Life Insurance Co., retiring in the late 1970s. He was a member of First Christian Church. He married Pansy Cargile in 1933 at Dewey, Okla. She died in 1997. Survivors include two sons, Ron Allton of Grove, Okla., and David Allton of Chapin, S.C.; a daughter, Zelpha Maston of Amarillo; a sister, Maureen Hall of Tomball; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The body will not be available for viewing. JIMMIE WINTER JORDAN WINTER Rev. Jeff Winter, Jimmie Winter and Jordan Elizabeth Winter The Rev. Jeff Winter, 34; Jimmie Winter, 43; and Jordan Elizabeth Winter, 1; all of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Cordell, Okla. Joint services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Ronnie Trice and the Rev. Kent Winter, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Rev. Winter was born in Angleton. He was a 1983 graduate of Amarillo High School. While at Amarillo High, he was active in student body politics and was on the swim team. He received a full scholarship to Texas Christian University. He was on the swim team all four years at TCU, graduating in 1987. He graduated from Christian Life School of Theology in 1995. He served as executive director of the Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce from 1987 to 1996. He left after being ordained a minister in 1996. Jimmie Cassity Winter was born in Corpus Christi. She graduated from Cuero High School at Cuero. Jeff and Jimmie were married in 1992 at Liberty. They moved to Amarillo in 1996. They founded World Family Harvest Church in 1996. The first service of the church was held in their home and in March 1997, the church moved to the Lawndale Shopping Center. Jordan was born March 31, 1998, at Lockney. Jeff is survived by his mother and stepfather, Bettye and George Schmidt of Amarillo; a daughter, Bethany Meyer of Amarillo; a brother, Kent Winter of Amarillo; two stepsisters, Kaki Schmidt of Littleton, Colo., and Keri Boone of Burleson; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Hancock of Clarksville, Tenn. Jimmie is survived by her mother and stepfather, Edna and W.A. "Buzz" Sawyers of Pleasanton; her father and stepmother, Jimmy and Lillian Rackley of Phoenix; a daughter, Bethany Meyer of Amarillo; a brother, Edward Rackley of Houston; three sisters, Tammi Beishline of Pleasanton, Flo Meyer of San Antonio and Evelyn Hilbrich of Hillsboro. Mrs. Barr was born in Farber, Mo., and moved to Artesia in 1923. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Artesia, the Artesia Hospital Auxiliary and the Artesia Sewing Club. She married Ralph James Barr in 1936 at Las Cruces, N.M. He died in 1989. Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Martin of Canyon; a son, Richard Barr of Midland; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Drake was born in Wingate, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of the Clovis and Melrose area. She attended school at Melrose. She had worked at the Town & Country Store at Clovis for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born in Amarillo. He graduated in 1957 from Amarillo High School and attended Texas Tech University at Lubbock. He was an airline pilot for Braniff Airlines for 24 years. At the time of his death, he was flying for Laker Airway at Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He married Ginger Wallace in 1991 at Grapevine. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jill Kirkpatrick of Flower Mound, Gina Kirkpatrick of South Miami Beach, Fla., and Johanna Kirkpatrick, a student at the University of Texas at Austin; a sister, Marsha Hermann of Euless; a stepson, J.R. Graham of Coppell; a stepdaughter, Shae Rice of Waco; and two stepgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Daniels was born in the Delwin community of Cottle County. She graduated from Paducah High School. She moved to Lubbock in 1952 from Paducah. She attended Draughon's Business College. She was employed for 38 years in the prosthetics division of the Veteran's Administration, retiring in 1992. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class and the New Song Group. She married Teddy Max Daniels in 1954 at Lubbock. He died in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Karen Dean of Lubbock; a sister, Joy Torian of Antlers, Okla.; a brother, Troy Patton of Canadian; and a grandson. Oklahoma Barbara Jean Fowler BOISE CITY, Okla. - Barbara Jean Fowler, 58, of Dumas, died Monday, April 26, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cimarron Mortuary Chapel in Boise City with Don Willingham, minister of North Plains Christian Church of Dumas, Texas officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Dumas. Mrs. Fowler was born in Boise City and raised in the Wheeless community. The family moved to Boise City where she graduated from Boise City High School in 1959. She worked for the City of Boise City as city clerk. After her marriage, Mrs. Fowler lived in Keyes and Dumas. She worked at the YMCA and later at the North Plains Savings and Loan. She had been a member of the Boise City Christian Church in Boise City and was a member of North Plains Christian Church of Dumas. She married Wayne Fowler in 1968 at Boise City. He died in 1995. Survivors include two sons, Wesley Fowler and Lance Fowler, both of Boise City; a daughter, Shawna Jean Green of Dumas; her mother, Frances Miller of Boise City; and two sisters, Peggy LaVerne and Bonnie Kay Barnes, both of Boise City.
