Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Norred of Tradewind Assembly of God officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road. Mrs. Long was born in Findley, Ohio. She was a nurse's aide and a member of the Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Bull, in 1957 and by an infant daughter. Survivors include five daughters, Edith Miller of Amarillo, Patsy Roberts of Kirksville, Mo., Jo Ann Broach of Kerrville, La Vera Adams of Amarillo and Elizabeth Woodhouse of Marathon, Ill.; a brother, Arlie Long of Amarillo; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-great-grandchildren. Darla Bennett Sanders Darla Bennett Sanders, 66, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Darrell Bonjour, Paramount Baptist Church Deaf Ministry, officiating. Cremation was by Memory Gardens Crematory with arrangements by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Mrs. Sanders was a lifelong resident of Amarillo where she attended Amarillo High School. Until her retirement, she worked as a cashier at Piggly Wiggly and Sav-On Drug. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Huffman of Amarillo; a son, Ricky E. Termain of Amarillo; a brother, Ted E. Bennett of Tyler; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Robert Dudley Robert Dudley, 43, of Amarillo, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Dudley was born in Lubbock. In 1998, he moved to Amarillo from Ontario, Ore. He was a member of Messenger Worship Center. He married Sandra Adams in 1997 at Salem, Ore. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Tommy Passmore and Michael Wallace, both of Amarillo, and Christopher Dudley and Jacob Dudley, both of Utah; five daughters, Becky Dudley of Utah and Bambi Newell, Shirley Passmore, Anissa Wallace and Krystal Passmore, all of Amarillo; his mother, Elaine Dudley of Nampa, Idaho; four brothers, Ronnie Dudley, Bill Dudley and Mike Dudley, all of Nampa, and Randy Dudley of Texas; two sisters, Diane Dudley of Nampa and Marilyn Dudley of Nyssa, Ore.; and nine grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Roberts was born and raised in Missouri. She was a homemaker and Protestant. She married Monroe Roberts in 1968 at Reno. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992 and an infant daughter, Violet White. Survivors include two daughters, Virgie Danley and Evelyn Cole, both of Amarillo; two sons, Virgil White of Amarillo and Gaylon White of Carterville, Mo.; four sisters, Ida Mae Bookout of Springfield, Mo., Vivian Mangus of Boliver, Mo., Dewey Wallace of Hutchinson, Kan., and Isabel Mitchell of California; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Madge Gaut Burson Madge Gaut Burson, 100, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce St., with the Rev. Jeff Raines, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Burson was born in Amarillo and raised on the Gladney place near Wildorado where she attended school. In the early 1900s, she attended the Baptist Church in Bushland and Wildorado. Later, the family moved to Amarillo where she attended school in a red school house with 12 grades located on 11th Avenue and Polk. She married Earl Burson in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973 and by a daughter, Earlene Harvey, in 1996. Survivors include three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. New Mexico Billie Bob Whitley CLOVIS, N.M. - Billie Bob Whitley, 73, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joe Poe, Dr. Herbert Bergstrom and Dr. Tom Rush officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories. Mr. Whitley was born in Clovis. He attended school in Clovis, graduating with the class of 1943. He entered the Navy in 1943, just before his 18th birthday, and served until 1946. After returning from the service, he entered into business with his father at Bob Whitley Motor Co., where he worked until 1956. In 1956, he began working as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the National Letter Carriers Association, retiring after 30 years. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. He married Mary J. "M.J." Poe in 1954 at Clovis. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mark Whitley of Clovis and Bob Lee Whitley of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, R.N. Whitley Jr. of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. Fern Bragg TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Fern Bragg, 91, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with Fred Caton and the Rev. Joe Sparks, Baptist minister from Ignacio, Colorado, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Bragg was born in Lyons, Kan. She moved to Quay County following her marriage and then located to Tucumcari in 1943. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church where she was in the Dorcas Sunday School Class and sang in the choir. With her husband, she owned the Dairy Queen. She married Houston Bragg in 1936. He died in 1980. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Latham of Tucumcari; a sister, Pat Sims of Tucson; a brother, Bill Davis of Halfway, Ore.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from noon today until service time Friday in the funeral home. Area Lois Tabor QUANAH - Lois Tabor, 89, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clinton Young, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Goodlett Cemetery in Goodlett by Price-Jackson Funeral Home of Quanah. Mrs. Tabor was born in Childress and moved from Goodlett to Hardeman County when she was 2. She graduated from Quanah High School. A retired school teacher, she was a member of First Baptist Church and a former Sunday school teacher. She married Vilas Layman Tabor in 1936. He died in 1969. Survivors include two sons, Rodger Tabor of Quanah and Melvin Tabor of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Ann Sparkman of Quanah; two brothers, B.R. Foster Jr. of Quanah and Van Foster of Goodlett; two sisters, Edith Howell of Amarillo and Ruth Reynolds of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 7 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. They suggest memorials be to Youth Ministries of First Baptist Church. Jean Andrew PAMPA - Jean Andrew, 74, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Andrew was born in Three Sands, Okla., and had been a Pampa resident for 40 years. She was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church. She was active in many bridge clubs where she was a lifemaster. She married Paul R. Andrew in 1947 at Van Buren, Ark. He died in 1993. Survivors include two sons, Michael Andrew of Amarillo and Scott Andrew of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Wanda Ekhoff of Tulsa and Margaret Golliver of Marland, Okla.; and two granddaughters. Leona Buschman CANADIAN - Leona Buschman, 69, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Timmons, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Ochiltree Cemetery near Perryton by StickleyHill Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mrs. Buschman was born in Durham, Okla. In 1961, she moved to Perryton and lived in Perryton and Spearman until moving to Canadian in 1991. For 20 years, Mrs. Buschman was employed by the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. She also worked in the food service department of the Perryton Independent School District. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Perryton and the Central Baptist Church in Canadian. In 1994, she married George F. Buschman at Perryton. Her first marriage was to Lloyd Sword in 1954 at Perryton. He died in 1989. Survivors include her husband; a son, Charles Amrine of Layton, Utah; a stepson, John Buschman of Canadian; a stepdaughter, Ruth Ward of Canadian; two brothers, Eugene Thompson of Carlsbad, N.M., and Leo Thompson of Canadian; a sister, Allene Sword of Beggs, Okla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hemphill County Hospice. Jimmie Lee Harris MATADOR - Jimmie Lee Harris, 74, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Church of Christ of Matador with Michael G. Crowley, minister, and the Rev. Tommy Wilson, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in East Mound Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home of Matador. Mr. Harris was born in Pittsburg and had been a resident of Motley County for most of his life. He was a retired farm laborer and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two brothers, Bud Lee Harris of Dallas and Bennie Lee Harris of Clarendon; and five sisters, Lillie M. Owens of Matador and Fern Day, Katie Mae Harris, Mae Ellen Butler and May Dee Harris, all of Clarendon. Melvin Floyd Schoenhals FRITCH - Melvin Floyd Schoenhals, 65, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Rice, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Eastview Cemetery in Vernon by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Mr. Schoenhals was born in Shattuck, Okla., and had been a resident of Fritch since 1956. He previously lived in Woodward, Okla. In 1986, he retired after 30 years as maintenance supervisor at Copoly. He retired in 1998 after 12 years with the Sanford Independent School District. He married Rita Huff in 1970 at Borger. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rena, in 1970 and by a son, Wade, in 1996. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dallas Schoenhals of Dennison and Terry Cawthron of Odessa; three daughters, Vickie Cornelius and Rhonda Lantelme, both of Fritch, and Veronica Adams of Borger; two brothers, Merlin Schoenhals of Ozona and Mike Schoenhals of Tilton, Ill.; a sister, Shirley Thompson of Breckenridge; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Ruth V. Gilliland FLOYDADA - Ruth V. Gilliland, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church in Floydada with the Rev. Jimmy McGuire and the Rev. Anthony Sisemore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery by MooreRose-White Funeral Home of Floydada. Mrs. Gilliland was born in Cooperstown, Okla., and attended schools in Oklahoma and Arizona. In 1940, she moved with her family from Chandler, Ariz., to Floyd County. A homemaker, she was a member of Senior Citizens of Floydada and First Baptist Church and was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge. She married Levis B. Gilliland in 1941 at Floydada. He died in 1991. Survivors include three sons, Bill Gilliland of Abilene and Butch Gilliland and Bobby Gilliland, both of Floydada; five brothers, Bud Vickers and Bob Vickers, both of Lubbock, Stan Vickers of Perryton, Rannie Vickers of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Don Vickers of Floydada; four sisters, Juanita Stoeser of Hayes, S.D., Sammie McCullough of Amarillo, Frances James of Parkton, N.C., and Gayle Scott of Tulia; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Martha Jane Baldwin PLAINVIEW - Martha Jane Baldwin, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church of Plainview with Drew Travis, pastor, officiating. Cremains will be buried in Calway, Tenn. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Baldwin was born in Galway. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Plainview Women's Club, Delta Delphin Club and Daughters of the American Revolution. She married Dr. Curtis Baldwin Sr. in 1946 at Tennessee. He died in December. Survivors include a son, Dr. Curtis Baldwin Jr. of Austin; a daughter, Janis Baldwin of Dallas; a sister, Mary Ann Larird of San Bruno, Calif.; a brother, John McKnight of Elizabeth, N.J.; and a grandchild. Ronda R. Ray CHANNING - Ronda R. Ray, 93, of Fredricksburg, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1999. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church of Channing with Royce Mason officiating. Burial will be in Channing Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St., Amarillo. Mr. Ray was born in Grayson County. A rancher, he was a longtime resident of Channing and Amarillo. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Channing. He married Oma Louise Roland in 1934 at Durant, Okla. She preceded him in death. Survivors include a son, Don Ray of Channing; a daughter, Margaret Guseman-Elley of Fredericksburg; four sisters, Ruby Summers of Melissa, Francis Telford of Austin and Olene Stalcup and Loretta Bowden, both of Paul's Valley, Okla.; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church in Channing or Channing Cemetery Fund.
