Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Childress Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Sims, pastor of Trinity Fellowship, officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. DeShazo was born in Montague County and moved from Childress to the Clairmont Retirement Center in Amarillo in 1991. She was a retired waitress. She married Dudley Cooper in 1940. He preceded her in death. She married Marshall DeShazo in 1983. He also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Deaver of Amarillo; a sister, Ozelle Spikes of Bellevue; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. John Michael Vincent STRATFORD - John Michael "Mike" Vincent, 49, died Sunday, June 27, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Stratford Cemetery with Mike Talley, minister of Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Vincent was born in Guymon, Okla., and graduated from high school in Stratford, where he lived for most of his life. He graduated from West Texas State University and was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Church of Christ, the AAAI and the Stratford Lions Club, where he served as past president. Since 1980, he was the owner/operator of Vincent Insurance Agency. He married Patti Starnes in 1971 at Stratford. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Amie Davis of Amarillo; two sons, Connor Vincent and Clint Vincent, both of Stratford; his father, Walter Vincent of Stratford; and two brothers, David Vincent and Matt Vincent, both of Stratford. The family will be at 1208 Putman in Stratford and suggests memorials be to Stratford Area Foundation; or Westview Boys Home, Hollis, OK 73550. Jerry White DUMAS - Jerry White, 75, died Saturday, June 26, 1999, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired Assembly of God minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. White was born in Port Arthur and moved to Moore County in 1949. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dumas. She moved to Amarillo in 1994. Her husband, James White, died in 1974. Her son, Kenneth Bingo, died in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Jolanda Mowery of Amarillo; a son, Richard Bingo of Costa Mesa, Calif.; three brothers, G.A. Tatum of Lake Dallas, Bobby Tatum of Iowa Park and Charles Tatum of Arlington; a sister, Cindy White of Garland; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at 6724 Foothill Drive in Amarillo today and at 501 Robin Road in Dumas Tuesday. They suggest memorials be to a favorite charity. Charles T. Carlson MATADOR - Charles T. Carlson, 76, died Saturday, June 26, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in East Mound Cemetery with the Rev. Jilda Cavasos, pastor of St. John Methodist Church in Plainview, officiating. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home. Mr. Carlson was born in Mobridge, S.D., and lived in Idaho and New Mexico. He served with the Marines and later with the Army during World War II, worked in heavy road construction equipment maintenance and was a Catholic. He moved to Matador in 1973. He married Magdalena Armendoriz in 1972 at Van Horn. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jack Carlson of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Charles Thomas Carlson of Cut Bank, Mont.; a daughter, Karyn Carlson of Seattle; a stepdaughter, Sheri Stephenson of Roundup, Mont.; two sisters, Beverly Innocenti of Moscow, Idaho, and Ruth Hasselstrom of Lewiston, Idaho; and four grandchildren. Elmer Cecil Wood QUANAH - Elmer Cecil "Bud" Wood, 90, died Sunday, June 27, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Quanah Memorial Park with the Rev. Clinton Young, minister of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Wood was born in Hardeman County and was a member of First Baptist Church. He retired after 44 years as a machinist for Quanah Acme and Pacific Railway. He is survived by his sister, Thelma Barker of Quanah. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Amarillo Irene Hutchens Irene Hutchens, 83, died Friday, June 25, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell Street, with Dr. David Evans of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens. Mrs. Hutchens was born in West Eminence, Mo., and moved to Amarillo in 1953 from Lubbock. She was a homemaker and a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She married Robert Hutchens in 1941 at Springfield, Mo. He died in 1991. Survivors include three sons, Doug Hutchens, Mickey Hutchens and Phillip Hutchens, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Sawnnie Ezell of Amarillo; a brother, Charles Sharp of Virginia; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until noon Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center. Bonnie Ricenbaw Bonnie Ricenbaw, 79, of Amarillo, died Sunday, June 27, 1999. Burial will be in Seward Cemetery in Seward, Neb. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia Street. Mrs. Ricenbaw was born in Lincoln, Neb., and moved to Amarillo in 1996. She owned and operated motels in Oklahoma and Texas, including the Ramada Inn in Amarillo, the Ramada Inn in Abilene, the Black Gold Motel in Pampa and Glancy Best Western Motel in Clinton, Okla. She was a Methodist. She married Lester Ricenbaw in 1938 at Beatrice, Neb. He died in 1996. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Jo Ricenbaw, in 1961, and a son, David Lee Ricenbaw, also in 1996. Survivors include a son, Richard Ricenbaw of Amarillo; a brother, Clarence France of Tucson, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson, Amarillo, TX 79101. Jesse K. Valadez Sr. Jesse K. Valadez Sr., 77, of Amarillo, died Saturday, June 26, 1999. Survivors include five daughters, Mary Lozano, Carmen Valadez and Veronica Rivero, all of Amarillo, Elizabeth Castan of Chicago and Alma Macies of Houston; a son, Jesus Valadez Jr. of Amarillo; three stepsons, Wilson Valadez, Albert Valadez and Andrew Valadez, all of Houston; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Deborah Anne Malave Deborah Anne Malave, 41, of Amarillo, died Friday, June 25, 1999. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 West Ninth, with the Rev. Landrum Medlock officiating. Mrs. Malave was born in Fort Polk, La., and moved to Amarillo from New Jersey 13 years ago. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1975 and from University of North Texas with a degree in music education. Survivors include her husband, Christabol Malave; two sons, William Malave and Scott Malave, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Julia Malave and Suzanne Malave, both of Amarillo; her father, Dr. A.W. Riepma of Amarillo; and a sister, Linda Gilmer of Katy. New Mexico Robert Irvin Hazelwood ROSWELL, N.M. - Robert "Bob" Irvin Hazelwood, 70, died Thursday, June 24, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Chappell officiating. Burial will be in South Park Cemetery by La Grone Funeral Chapel. Mr. Hazelwood was born in Spearman, Texas and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1947. He served with the Navy, attended New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology at Socorro and, for several years, was in the petroleum industry. He lived in Roswell from 1956 until 1977, when he moved to Artesia. He served as Eddy County Commissioner, District 2 from 1987-89 and was on the Eastern New Mexico State Fair Board, where he served two terms as president. He was a life member and past national director of the New Mexico Jaycees. He was an independent appraiser in commercial, residential and land. He was a banking officer with S.I.C., Roswell State Bank, Pioneer Savings and Valley Savings and Loan. He was included in the Personalities of the West and Midwest publication, officiated at local and regional athletic events, was on the Wool Bowl Selection Committee and participated in the Roswell Lenders Tournament for more than 30 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. His first wife, Margaret "Mutt" Hazelwood, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Deanna; three daughters, Cheryl Kautz of Roswell, Johnna Padilla of Santa Fe and Leisha Kingston of Frisco, Texas; his mother, Iola Hazelwood, of Amarillo; a sister, Sue Hazelwood of Amarillo; and four grandchildren. Erika Marie Aragon TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Erika Marie Aragon, 11-month-old daughter of Ramon and Crystal Aragon, died Thursday, June 24, 1999. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in Dunn Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of the Angels will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Anne's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Erika was born in Tucumcari. Survivors include her parents; two brothers, Jaime Aragon and Benjamin Aragon, both of Tucumcari; a sister, Amber Aragon of Tucumcari; and grandparents, Ramon and Margie Aragon of Tucumcari. Bruce Runyan TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Bruce Runyan, 72, died Friday, June 25, 1999. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in the House School Gymnasium with the Rev. Bobby Fuller and Sherman Martin, Baptist ministers, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Browning Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Runyan was born in McAlister and was a lifetime resident of the House community, where he graduated from school. From 1946-48, he served with the Army in Japan. He was a member of First Baptist Church of House, where he was a deacon, and of ENMR Telephone Cooperative Board for 26 years. He served on the board of the Mesa Redondo Cowboy Camp Meeting and on the House School Board for 16 years. He also served as a Quay County Commissioner for 6 years and was on the House COOP and FHA Boards. He was preceded in death by a son, Don Runyan, and an infant daughter, Patricia. Survivors include his wife, Mayme Runyan; three sons, Bill Runyan and Mark Runyan, both of House, and Bryan Runyan of Silver City; a daughter, Marsha Stowe of House; three brothers, Maurice Runyan of House, Keith Runyan of Clovis, N.M. and Norman Runyan of Silver City; two sisters, Yvonne Philabaum of Albuquerque and Nadine Downey of Melrose; 11 grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. Kansas Thelma Margaret Warner SYRACUSE, Kan. - Thelma Margaret Warner, 90, died Friday, June 25, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. MST Tuesday in Christian Church with Bruce Sneed officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery by Greene Funeral Home. Mrs. Warner was born in Menno, graduated from Syracuse High School, and attended State Teacher's College in Pittsburg, Kan. She lived in rural Hamilton and Kearny County, moved to Syracuse in 1967 and to the Clairmont Retirement Home in Amarillo last year. She was a homemaker and a former nurse's aide. She was a member of First Christian Church, Concerned Women of America and was a former Hamilton County Hospital Board member. She married George "Clifford" Warner in 1930 at Hutchinson. He died in 1978. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Dean, and a daughter, Carol Nadine. Survivors include two sons, LeRoy "Bud" Warner of Ulysses and Gary Lee Warner of Sikeston, Mo.; a daughter, Patricia Louise Scott of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to First Christian Church; or Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center in Amarillo, Texas. Memorials will be accepted for both at the funeral home.
