Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church in Farwell with the Rev. Richard Laverty, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery in Muleshoe by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Mrs. Johnson was born in Knox County and moved to Oklahoma Lane Community in 1955 from Haskell County. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Farwell. She married Kenneth E. Johnson in 1943 at Weinert. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dan Johnson of Oklahoma Lane Community and Bill Johnson of Clovis, N.M.; two brothers, Earl Routon and Loyd Routon, both of Oklahoma Lane Community; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Farwell Convalescent Center, 305 Fifth St., Farwell, TX 79035; or a favorite charity. Dwight Loomis DALHART - Dwight Loomis, 60, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stephen Lowrie, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Loomis was born in Woodward County, Okla. He was raised in the Freedom, Okla., area, where he graduated from Freedom High School in 1957. In 1962, he graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma University and then taught school for the Dalhart Independent School District for 37 years. He was the recipient of the Distinguished Teacher Award and served on the board of directors for the Moore County School Credit Union. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, where he was Deacon Chairman. He married Edna Chumley in 1963 at Dalhart. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Doug Loomis of Amarillo and Dan Loomis of Dalhart; two sisters, Fern Stout of Burlington, Colo., and Marilyn Scates of Woodward, Okla.; a brother, Delbert Loomis of Blunt, S.D.; and two grandchildren. Bill Kemp OLTON - Bill Kemp, 71, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with Rick Harper, of Main Street Church of Christ, officiating, and the Rev. Norman Patton of First United Methodist Church, assisting. Burial will be in Olton Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mr. Kemp was born in Greenwood and had lived in the Olton area for 69 years. He was an automobile dealer. He married Velma Kinney in 1947 at Dallas. Survivors include his wife; three sons, George Kemp of Odessa, Jerry Kemp of Breckenridge, Colo., and Jackey Kemp of Lubbock; a brother, Gibson Kemp of Lubbock; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Mary Frances Guinn PAMPA - Mary Frances Guinn, 71, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Guinn was born in Rising Star. She had lived in Amarillo for 12 years and in Odessa for 18 months before moving to Pampa in 1973. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, where she was the nursery coordinator for 25 years. She married Jerry H. Guinn in 1950 at Pampa. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Sherry Guinn of Tyler, Terri Williams of Pampa and Kari Parker of Lubbock; a brother, Albert Jones of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. Floy Gerlach Posey MEMPHIS - Floy Gerlach Posey, 82, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Neely Landrum, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Posey was born in Lakeview, was a lifetime resident of Hall County and graduated from Memphis High School. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She married Holmes Posey in 1948 at Taylor County. He died in May. Survivors include a cousin, Jack Wolf of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to the Fairview Cemetery Association. Frank Howard Kindle SANFORD - Frank Howard Kindle, 65, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairlanes Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Olympus Cemetery at Childress. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Kindle was born in Childress County, moved to Phillips in 1963 and to Sanford in 1976. He worked in heavy equipment maintenance for Phillips Petroleum before retiring. He was a Baptist and a member of Adobe Walls No. 1355 AF&AM and the Elks Lodge. Survivors include a son, Billy Kindle of Round Rock; a daughter, Amy Kindle of Childress; a brother, C.L. Dale Emmett Davis Dale Emmett Davis, 66, of Amarillo, died Friday, Aug. 27, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mr. Smith was born in Amarillo and was a lifetime resident. He served with the Army during World War II and owned and operated an insurance agency before retiring. He was a member of Lake Tanglewood Golf Association, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and a charter member of Lake Tanglewood Community Church. His first wife, Maxine Smith, died in 1969. His second wife, Jane Ann Lane Smith, died in 1997. Survivors include a son, George Edwin Smith III of Wichita, Kan.; two daughters, Susan McClanahan and Debbie Jenkins, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Dorothy Green of Houston and Saranne Gehring of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Jo Anne Cordova of Big Spring, Denise Mendoza of Hobbs, N.M., and Geri Arriaga of Amarillo; a son, James Campos of Amarillo; her mother, Inez Olivas of Amarillo; a brother, Pat Olivas of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She married Bill Molley in 1939 at Wichita Falls. He died in 1961. She married Fred Killion in 1965 at Canyon. He died in 1987. Her son, James Josey Jr., died in 1995. Survivors include two granddaughters, Debbie Monroe of Midland and Eddie Josey Wilson of Great Falls, Mont.; a grandson, Tim Josey of Mena, Ark.; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Marr was born in Freeland and moved to Amarillo in 1968 from Bedford. She retired as an inspector at Pantex and was a member of Central Church of Christ. She married Herbert Marr in 1951 at Cleburne. He died in 1997. Her son, Joe Neal Marr, died in 1994. Survivors include three daughters, Paula Wilkerson and Sheri Cates, both of Amarillo and Lisa Waldon of Mansfield; a brother, Jim Dyer of Cleburne; four sisters, Ronda McIlvain of Alvarado, Dorothy Lane of Cleburne, Lynda Ballard of Burleson and Dianna Wadsworth of Kopperl; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Martha's Home of Amarillo. Elsewhere Sarah Jessie Dunlop Winter STAUNTON, Va. - Sarah Jessie Dunlop Winter, 95, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 1999, in Bridgewater, Va. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Hamrick Funeral Home with Dr. L. Randolph Harrison officiating. Mrs. Winter was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She worked for the Ottawa Citizen Newspaper and for the Amarillo Globe-News in Amarillo, Texas. She was a former member of the Pilot International Club and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Staunton.
