Tyrone Campbell of Hollis, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St., of Amarillo. Rev. Hughes was born in Williamson County and had lived in Childress for a number of years. He attended Black Hill Public Schools. He was a former pastor of the First Church of God in Christ at Childress and had also farmed. He married Jorine Hawthorne in 1938. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Annie Ruth Jeter, Doris Burgess, Loretta Diggs and Rose Marie Gilmore, all of Childress and Ruby Nell Weeks of Pampa; six sons, David Hughes of Dallas, Alvin Hughes of Santa Monica, Calif., Climmie Hughes, the Rev. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She married Belmor Ryan Sr. at Wheeler. He died in 1975. She also was preceded in death by two sons and two daughters. Mr. Webb was born in Jefferson City, Iowa. From 1935 until 1953, he served in the Navy as a chief petty officer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Marie Clark Webb, in 1983. He moved to Dalhart in 1949 where he farmed, worked for Gordon Beall Bakery and the city of Dalhart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie York Fletcher. Survivors include three nieces, Fern Kimbell and Donna Omelas, both of Amarillo, and Glenna Harper of Gladewater; a nephew, Gotha Gully of Lufkin; a greatniece and great-nephew. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. Mr. Klemm was born and raised in Medford, Wis. He graduated from Granton Township High School then served with the 17th Airborne Division of the Army during World War II. In 1952, he graduated from University of Illinois. For 38 years, Mr. Klemm worked as procurement agent for Campbell Soup Co., retiring in 1990. He moved to Plainview in 1964. He was a 50-year member of American Legion Gurnee Post and a member of First United Methodist Church of Plainview. He married Barbara Davis in 1950 at Waukegan, Ill. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Buttram of Raton, N.M., and Carol Worley of Houston; two sons, Jeffrey Klemm of Houston and Jack Klemm of Fort Worth; a brother, Larry Klemm of Gurnee, Ill.; a sister, Huntington, Ind.; and nine grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Citizens Cemetery followed by memorial services at 3 p.m. in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Rob Seale, pastor, and the Rev. Chris Downer of Slaton officiating. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mr. Sparks was born in Dutchman Camp on the Matador Ranch. He worked on the Matador Ranch prior to working on the JA Ranch as a foreman from 1931 until his retirement in 1983. He then worked for Wayne Riggs in Clarendon for 12 years before retiring in 1995. During World War II, Mr. Sparks served in the Army. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was president of the JA Ranch Reunion and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. His first marriage was to Johnnie Blair who died in 1957. His second marriage was to Leora Parks in 1959 at Plainview. She died in 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Terri Seale and Barbara Milhoan, both of Clarendon; three sons, Tommy Sparks of Beulah, Colo., Tony Sparks of Clarendon and Russell Baldwin of Claude; a sister, Gene Davis of Groesbeck; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Samarron was born in Pandora and moved to Earth in 1952 from Charlotte. During World War II, he served in the Army. He was a farm labor contractor. He married Genoeva DeLeon in 1947 at Jordanton. She was a homemaker and a member of United Methodist Church, had been a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church for 47 years, and was a charter member of Electra Group United Methodist Women. She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of the United Transportation Union. She married Linus Harold Bromert in 1944. He died in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Lou Ladehoff of Amarillo; a sister, Geraldine Altsman of Amarillo; and two grandchildren. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell Ave. Mrs. Wharton was born in Providence, R.I., and attended Garrison Forest Finishing School in Maryland. In 1972, she moved to Amarillo from Wichita Falls. She was involved in breeding and showing champion Pomeranians for 40 years. Mrs. Wharton was a life member of the Panhandle Kennel Club where she served as chief ring steward. She also belonged to the Amarillo German Shepherd Dog Club and was active in other breed clubs. She was a member of the ring stewards clubs in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Dallas. She married Ed Wharton in 1959. He died in 1991. She is survived by a sister, Kathryn Reinhoff of Baltimore, Md., and a friend, Fran Beasley of Amarillo. Burial will be in the family plot of the Roy, N.M., Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mr. Bowman was born in Roy where he was a longtime resident. He was employed by the city of Tucumcari for a number of years and a farmer and rancher in the Roy area. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Mae Bowman, in 1998. Mrs. McCracken was born in Geuda Springs, Kan., and graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City. She was a member of Lubbockview Christian Church and was in the Chancel Choir and the Christian Women's Fellowship. She was a homemaker. She married John T. McCracken in 1946 at Oklahoma City.
