Private services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 1999. Burial was in Tyler by BrooksSterling Funeral Home of Tyler. Mr. Moseley was born in Camp County and attended public schools in Pittsburg. He also attended Texas College in Tyler. An Army veteran of World War II, he received the Silver Star. Mr. Moseley was a member of Carter Chapel CME Church in Amarillo and Markwell Masonic Lodge No. 415. He was employed as a custodian by St. Anthony's Hospital and the Amarillo Independent School District. He moved to Tyler in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Suitt of Durham, N.C.; a son, Costelle Moseley of Pittsburg; a stepdaughter, Deborah Ford of Lakewood, Colo.; two stepsons, Edward Walker of Chicago and James Walker of Denver; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lannie Heath Lannie Heath, 89, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in New Hope Baptist Church, 1305 N.W. Ninth, with the Rev. David Hill, senior pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary Inc., 509. N. Adams St. Mrs. Heath was born in Omaha, Texas, and had lived in Amarillo for 45 years. She was a retired domestic worker and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Claudia Sims of Amarillo; a son, Zebbie D. Peel of Amarillo; three sisters, Gertrude Straing of Dallas, Cassie Green of Arlington and Mary Alexander of Garland; a goddaughter; and a godson. The family will be 1111 N. Tyler St. Maxine Roberts Maxine Roberts, 84, of Lubbock, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Raines, associate pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce St. Mrs. Roberts was born in Canyon. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church and attended Asbury United Methodist Church in Lubbock where she moved 10 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Roberts, in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Jackie Roberts Corbin of Alto, N.M.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. The body will not be available for viewing. Rosie C. Navarette Rosie C. Navarette, 43, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth, with Hector Gallegos, deacon, celebrant. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Christian Life Center A/G, 2920 W. Fifth, with Alvino Alvarez, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Navarette was born in S. Miami, Fla., and moved to Amarillo in 1959. In 1996, she retired from the Canyon Independent School District. Survivors include a son, Amador Lujan Jr., of Amarillo; four daughters, Maria Lomeli, Anacida Lujan, Sonia Castillo and Sarah Castillo, all of Amarillo; her parents, Bertha and Richard Navarette of Amarillo; a sister, Esperanza Quintanilla of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. New Mexico Carl Franklin Roach CLOVIS, N.M. - Carl Franklin Roach, 79, died Saturday, March 27, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Parkland Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Brooks, the Rev. Ray Roach and the Rev. Cecil Roach officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mr. Roach was born in Fields where he graduated from high school. He attended Eastern New Mexico University at Portales. For more than 50 years, he was a lathe and plaster contractor. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church, where he had been a deacon for 50 years. Survivors include his wife, Frances; two sons, Travis Roach and David Roach, both of Clovis; three brothers, C.L. Roach of Clovis, Ray Roach of Granbury, Texas, and Cecil Roach of Conroe, Texas; four sisters, Imogene Swinney of Clovis, Frances Willard of Roswell, Melba Peters of Lubbock, Texas, and Fannie Bristow of San Angelo, Texas; and two grandsons. Tillman Shough MELROSE, N.M. - Tillman Shough, 80, died Saturday, March 27, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Melrose Church of Christ with Sean Andrews and John Snider officiating. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery by SteedTodd Funeral Home of Clovis. Mr. Shough was born in Elk City, Okla. He was a member, elder and a deacon of the Melrose Church of Christ. He was an original member of and had served as a fire chief for the Quemado Volunteer Fire Department. He married Vaguhneda Smith in 1947 at Quemado. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Shough of Clovis; two daughters, Alexs Armstrong of Las Cruces, Jane Stapleton of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Glen Shough of Belen; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mable Irene Molyneaux TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Mable Irene Molyneaux, 75, of San Jon, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Tucumcari. Burial will be in San Jon Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mrs. Molyneaux was born in Iola, Kan., and had been a longtime resident of San Jon. She studied to be a bi-lingual interpreter at New Mexico State University. She was a homemaker and member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband, Henry B. Molyneaux; a daughter, Lisa Inge of Portales; a son, Chris Molyneaux of San Jon; her mother, Pauline Dunlap of Iola; a sister, Mary Fry of Lancing, Kan.; and nine grandchildren. The body will be available for viewing from this morning until time of services Wednesday at the church. Kansas J. Vance Robinson SUBLETTE, Kan. - J. Vance Robinson, 78, died Sunday, March 28, 1999, at Satanta, Kan. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega, Texas, with the Rev. James Peach officiating. Arrangements are by Haskell County Funeral Home of Sublette. Mr. Robinson was born in Claude, Texas. He married Kathryn M. Linger in 1941 at Tucumcari, N.M. They moved to Sublette in 1970 from Sunray, Texas. He was a retired farmer, and a member of Southern Baptist Church, where he and his wife watched the nursery on Sunday nights. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Frank Robinson of Panhandle; and a sister, Flora Glenn Hammers of Groom, Texas. The family requests memorials be to the Southern Baptist Church at Sublette or a favorite charity c/o the funeral home. Elsewhere Vernon M. Hudson PRESIDIO - Vernon M. Hudson, 87, died Saturday, March 27, 1999. Private family services were handled by Hatfield Funeral Home Inc. of Sierra Vista, Ariz. Mr. Hudson was born in Claude, Texas. He worked for many years for the government as a weatherman in Albuquerque, N.M., Lubbock, and Conifer, Colo. He moved to Presidio in 1995. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, in 1994 and a son, Edward Hudson in 1996. Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Carolyn Jensen of Iowa; a caretaker, Lorena Quiroz; and friends, Glen and Cindy Woods of Colorado. The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers be in his name to the American Heart Association. Willa Mae Duke KELLER - Willa Mae Duke, 87, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Lucas Funeral Home of Grapevine. Mrs. Duke was born in Coalgate, Okla. She had been a longtime resident of Amarillo then moved to Weatherford. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret E. Duke. Survivors include three sons, Manuel R. Duke of Amarillo, Jesse D. Duke of Irving and George D. "David" Duke of Keller; four grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. Area Alfred O. Haferkamp FOLLETT - Alfred O. "Fred" Haferkamp, 93, died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Booker. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Thiessen and the Rev. Clay Wells officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, southwest of Follett, by Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Shattuck, Okla. Mr. Haferkamp was born at Wallis. He graduated from San Bernard High School and later attended business school. He worked in the oil industry as a drilling contractor throughout Texas, later traveling to Peru, South America. He married Ada Redelsperger Herber in 1972 at Gainsville. They lived in Follett, where he retired in 1980. He attended the First Baptist Church at Follett and had served as Justice of the Peace of Lipscomb County Precinct 3 for several years. He was preceded in death by two wives. Survivors include his wife, Ada; two sons, Al Haferkamp and Roger Haferkamp, both of Los Angeles; two daughters, Mary Ross of Corpus Christi, and Joanne Ullrich of Morristown, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Wanda Peck of Woodward, Okla.; three grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. The family requests memorials be to the First United Methodist Church of Woodward building fund or a favorite charity. Charles Baggerman PAMPA - Charles Baggerman, 66, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Baggerman was born in Pampa, where he was a lifelong resident. He was an Army veteran and worked as a heavyequipment operator for Gray County for many years. Survivors include three brothers, Cecil Baggerman of Pampa, Vernon Baggerman of Ringwood, Okla., and Donald Powell of Oklahoma City; and five sisters, Deana Gates of Kilgore, Bonnie Smart of Drumright, Okla., Martha Malloy of Kingfisher, Okla., Mary Larson of Enid, Okla., and Linda Alcar of Hutchinson, Kan. Mae Powell PAMPA - Mae Powell, 93, of Oklahoma City, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel in Pampa with Glen Walton, minister of Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo, and Don Vin Sant, minister of Edmond Church of Christ in Edmond, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Powell was born in McCloud, Okla., and moved to Laketon community in 1912. A longtime resident of Pampa and Laketon, she was postmistress in Laketon. She was a member of the Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ in Pampa. She married Homer Powell in 1930 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1989. Survivors include a daughter, Gwendolyn McClure of Pampa; three sons, Gerald Powell of La Pine, Ore., Dr. Darryl Powell of Big Spring and Ronald Powell of Edmond; a sister, Iva Back of Pampa; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Odetta Anderson Lightcap KRESS - Odetta Anderson Lightcap, 87, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Kress Church of Christ with Jack McCall, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kress Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia. Mrs. Lightcap was born in Floyd County and raised in Kress where she attended school. With her second husband, she ranched in Tulia and then moved to Saquache, Colo., in 1980 where they continued ranching. In 1995, she returned to Tulia and moved to Amarillo in 1996. She was a member of Church of Christ in Tulia. In 1930, she married Bill Anderson who died in 1967. Her second marriage was to Ray Lightcap in 1971. He died in 1995. She also was preceded in death by a stepson, Billy Ray Lightcap, in 1991. Survivors include two foster sons, Paul Anderson of Virginia Beach, Va., and James Anderson of California; two stepdaughters, Betty Jo Spurgeon of Liberal, Kan., and Dorothy Spurgeon of Las Animas, Colo.; two stepsons, Clifford Lightcap of Garden City, Kan., and Richard Lightcap of Las Animas; three brothers, Floyd Young and Dr. Eddie E. Young, both of Lubbock, and Ted Young of Fort Worth; two sisters, Delia Love of Lubbock and Glenna Jacobsen of Amarillo; 24 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Keshawn Michael O'Brien Ingram BORGER - Keshawn Michael O'Brien Ingram, infant son of Mike Umber and Roshanda Ingram, died Saturday, March 27, 1999. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett with the Rev. Elijah Patterson, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church of Borger, officiating. Wendell Mac Murry SHAMROCK - Wendell Mac Murry, 60, of Dozier, died Monday, March 29, 1999. Services will be at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in Glen Davis Memorial Methodist Church in Dozier with the Rev. Lawrence Thompson of Shamrock officiating. Burial will be in Dozier Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mr. Murry was born in Wheeler County and lived in Collingsworth County for most of his life. He was a farmer. He also was a resident of Country Club Manor of Amarillo. Survivors include his mother, Marie Murry of Dozier; and a brother, Randall Murry of Dumas. Jessie Cora Henry SHAMROCK - Jessie Cora Henry, 94, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Lee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mrs. Henry was born in Hillsboro County and had lived in Wheeler County since 1917. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lydia Sunday School Class and Senior Citizens Green Thumb Organization. She married Jasper Ross Henry in 1925 at Sayre, Okla. He died in 1977. Survivors include two sons, J. Roy Henry of Detroit and Larry Don Henry of Tulsa; two daughters, Frankie Pepper of Shamrock and Mickey Porter of Jenks, Okla.; three brothers, Ernest Henderson and T. B. Henderson, both of Twitty, and Joe Henderson of Wheeler; four sisters, Murl Harris and Bessie Carver, both of Amarillo, Jean Wisenbaker of Mesquite and Mildred Gierhart of Shamrock; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Pauline Laycock WELLINGTON - Pauline Laycock, 94, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Windom Cemetery with the Rev. Thyra Weis, pastor of the Windom Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Mrs. Laycock was born in Azel where she attended school. She moved to Fannin County in 1922 then to Bartlesville, Okla., in 1973 and to Wellington in 1990. She was a homemaker and member of the Methodist church. She married Vergil Roy Laycock in 1922 at Westbrook. He died in 1964. Survivors include two sons, Leroy Laycock of Sealy and William Laycock of Houston; a daughter, Betty Jo Donaldson of Wellington; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon today in Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. The family suggests memorials be to Windom Cemetery Association. Wanda Votaw Mathis PADUCAH - Wanda Votaw Mathis, 54, died Sunday, March 28, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Eric Mathis, her son, officiating. Burial will be in Paducah Garden of Memories by Seigler Funeral Home. Mrs. Mathis was born in Clovis, N.M., and had lived in Paducah since 1945. She was a Baptist. She married R.C. Mathis at Paducah. Survivors include her husband; a son, Eric Mathis of Paducah; three stepdaughters, Diane Beyer and Sheree Coleman, both of Lubbock, and Debra Bailey of Denver; a stepson, Richie Mathis of Quanah; seven brothers, Earl Votaw of Whitney, James Votaw of Childress, Ricky Votaw of Amarillo and Cecil, Barney, Jerry and Carl Votaw, all of Paducah; four sisters, Lorene Paschall and Sue Piper, both of Paducah, Ann Monks of Eufala, Okla., and Laura Thomas of Perryton; and two grandchildren.
