Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Church of Christ with Jim Reyna, minister, and George Watson, a Church of Christ minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Back was born in the Back community north of McLean and had been a resident of the community all his life. He worked for Phillips Petroleum as a field operator for 33 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the McLean Church of Christ. He married Gelemma Ayres in 1936 at Gainesville. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rex C. Back of Stinnett and Jack R. Back of White Deer; a sister, Avalee Crockett of Borger; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. Mr. Gipson was born in Oklahoma and had been a Vega resident for eight years. He was a retired pumper and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jaquetta Ryder, in 1989. Survivors include two sons, Eddie Gipson of Vega and Kim Gipson of Dallas; a daughter, Patsy Criswell of Chugiak, Alaska; two sisters, Juanita Gage of Whitharral and Inez Brown of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery at Hereford by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Griffitt was born in Fieldton and moved to Hereford in 1946. She attended schools in Fieldton and Amherst before graduating from Hereford High School. She was a hospice volunteer at Plains Memorial Hospital, a member of Castro County Extension Club, and a volunteer at Castro County Museum. She operated Earl's Garage in Dimmitt for seven years. She married Earl Griffitt in 1948 in Amarillo. He died in 1990. Survivors include a son, Randy Griffitt of Dimmitt; a daughter, Kim Hollingworth of Hereford; a brother, Terrell Elliott of Hereford; a sister, Opal Elliott of Hereford; and five grandchildren. He supported orphans through Christian alliances and also the Trinity Valley Community College singles support groups. He was a square dancer and a country and western dancer. His first wife, Sue, preceded him in death. Mr. Muse was born in Floydada, Texas. He married Imo Ree Smothermon in 1945 at Plainview, Texas. They moved to Guymon in 1983 from Arvada, Colo. After retiring from farming in 1971, he drove a truck for Monfort of Colorado, retiring in 1983. He also was a bus driver for the Guymon public school system for several years. He was a member of the Guymon Church of Christ and the Guymon Lions Club. She graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Holmes Business College. In 1985, she retired from Diamond Shamrock after more than 35 years. At the time of her retirement, she was the manager of land and lease records. Mrs. Stallworth was a longtime member of First Christian Church and was a past president of the Desk and Derrick Club. She married Jack Stallworth in 1968. He preceded her in death in 1977. Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy Wilkinson of Amarillo, Barbara Smith of Grand Prairie, and Sandra Colley of Irving; and a brother, Harold Wilkinson of Claremore, Okla. She married Jack Hood in 1933 in Tucumcari, N.M. He died in 1987.
