She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She married Guy Jones in 1942 at Ballinger. He died in 1990. Survivors include a son, Ronald Guy Jones; and two grandsons. He returned to Borger and was a caseworker for the elderly at the Texas Department of Human Resources. He was an independent contractor and a member of First Baptist Church. He helped found the Panhandle Bird Dog Club, of which he was the last surviving charter member. He received awards for his bird dogs and judged trials from New Mexico to Canada. He was a member of St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church. He married Hazel Henly in 1961 at Amarillo. Mr. Mallett was a 50-year Mason. He was past president of the Lions Club, a member of the Rotary Club in Perryton and a longtime member of the Methodist church. He married Anngrace Rosemary Malfetti in 1947 at Grand Prairie. He moved to Wichita Falls in 1945 and attended a watch-making school. In 1947 he moved to Amarillo and worked for the Post Office, retiring as a maintenance supervisor after 27 years. He was a member of WAGGS Travel Club. He married Robbie Nell Whitsell in 1945 at Clarendon. She returned to Hooker and taught elementary school for four years. She married Thomas Metcalf in 1941 at Hooker. She farmed with her husband. He died in 1997. Mrs. Metcalf was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Professional Educators Organization, Hagolu and United Methodist Women. Survivors include two sons, Tom W. Metcalf of Fort Collins, Colo., and John R. Metcalf of Hooker; a sister, Charlotte Butler of Hooker; and six grandchildren. Swanson, 43, formerly of Amarillo, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, in Abilene. Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith with the Rev. LaVerne Janssen and Robert Oglesby, officiating. Burial was in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories. Mr. Swanson was born in Sandwich, Ill. He attended schools in Earlville, Ill. and Pawpaw, Ill. In 1975, he graduated from high school in Texline. He moved from Amarillo to Abilene in 1994. He was a quality assurance representative for Avfuel Corp. He was a Lutheran. He married Barbara J. "Barbie" Brown in 1984 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jade Swanson and Oakley Swanson, both of Abilene; a stepdaughter, Nicole Hooper of Abilene; his parents, Stanley and Beulah Swanson of Earlville; and a sister, Lynn Kruse of Jackson, Tenn.
