Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Llano Mausoleum Chapel with Dr. Jim Garrett, senior minister of Polk Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Cash was born in Alanreed and graduated from McLean High School. A longtime resident of Amarillo, she was a homemaker and a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. She was a past member of the Junior League and the Amarillo Garden Club. Her husband, C.A. "Buzz" Cash, died in 1997. Her daughter, Elaine Culver, died in 1992. Survivors include a sister, Ione Landon of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and a granddaughter, Cathy Culver Musslewhite of Dallas. Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Calvin Powell officiating. Corbin Stewart was born in Amarillo. Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Gregory Spencer Keith and Miles Braxton Keith, both of Amarillo; and grandparents, Luther and Claudia Keith of Wichita, Kan., Mencor and Janet Valdez of Pagosa Springs, Colo., and Jacqueline Wheatly of Amarillo. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Angelina was born in Amarillo. Survivors include her parents; a sister, Jasmine Frescez of Amarillo; a brother, Nathan Frescez of Amarillo; and grandparents, Luis and Lydia Frescez, Raul Pina, and Ofelia Lopez, all of Midland. Amarillo Daily News July 3, 2000 Pearl Jones Pearl Jones, 80, of Amarillo, died Friday, June 30, 2000. No services are scheduled. Cremation was by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Jones was born in Leland, Idaho, and moved to Amarillo in 1961. She worked at Amarillo Bowl. She married Homer Jones in 1946 at Lewiston, Idaho. He died in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Benjamin of Buena Vista, N.M.; a brother, Delmar Fleshman of Lewiston; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News July 3, 2000 Dennis Wayne Carrington Dennis Wayne Carrington, 77, of Amarillo, died Saturday, July 1, 2000. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Jim Garrett of Polk Street United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Carrington was born in Maypearl. He attended school in Corsicana and later, Refrigeration Technical School in Fort Worth. He worked as an inspector for the U.S. Government, including 25 years at Bell Helicopter in Amarillo. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. During World War II, he served with the Army Air Corps. He married Edna Pearl Gardner in 1946 at Corsicana. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Denese Carrington and Elizabeth Van Note, both of Amarillo; two sons, Ronald Carrington of Amarillo and Timothy Carrington of Austin; four sisters, Mary Barnes of Carthage, N.C., Monnie French of Grand Prairie, Dorothy Wood of Fort Worth and Jo Pearl Jeans of Wichita Falls; and a brother, J.B. Carrington of Bryan. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be to Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 S. Polk, Amarillo, TX 79101-4298; or a favorite charity. Amarillo Daily News July 3, 2000 Elsewhere Charles W. Cox MIDLAND - Charles W. Cox, 65, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000. Cremation was by Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel. Mr. Cox was born in Floydada and grew up in Amarillo. In 1959, he received a bachelor's of science degree in petroleum engineering. He worked as a manager in heavy construction for Northern Area Construction and as a project manager for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. After owning and operating Northwestern Construction & Wagley in Alaska, he retired in 1989 and moved to Midland. His son, Robert Wayne Cox, preceded him in death. He married Leola "Lee" Pearcy in 1956 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Julie Redick of Anchorage, Alaska; and four grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News July 3, 2000 Area Albert Moore QUANAH - Albert Moore, 54, formerly of Quanah, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Quanah Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth White of Odessa officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Moore was born in Quanah and graduated from Douglas High School. He worked for Quanah Cotton Compress and was a member of Quanah Macedonia Baptist Church. After moving to Amarillo, he retired as a landscaper. He married Jimmie Lee Love in 1969 at Quanah. She died in 1975. His son, Terry Moore, died in 1997. Survivors include two sons, Leonard Love of Amarillo and Albert Keith Moore of Irving; three daughters, Twanda Moore and Chere Moore, both of Irving, and Renee Moore of Quanah; four sisters, Pearline Houston of Vernon and Mae Frances Carr, Emma Jean Williams and Helen Moore, all of Quanah; six brothers, Melvin Moore of San Diego, Joe Moore, Calvin Moore, Archie Moore and Elbert Moore, all of Odessa, and J.B. Moore of Midland; and 11 grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News July 3, 2000 Bessie Landers Tyson HIGGINS - Bessie Landers Tyson, 97, died Sunday, July 2, 2000. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Higgins Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Don Cheshire officiating. Arrangements are by Mason Funeral Home of Shattuck, Okla. Mrs. Tyson was born in Higgins, where she graduated from school in 1922. She worked for First National Bank. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Higgins and a member of the O.E.S. Since 1934, she had been a member of the 7th District of the Top of Texas Federation. She served on the board and in 1965 was elected to a life membership. She married Ray Boone Tyson in 1927. He died in 1991. Her son, Billie Eugene Tyson, died in 1966. Survivors include a son, Don Tyson; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be to Higgins United Methodist Church; or Higgins Emergency Medical Technicians Association. Lyndal Fletcher, pastor, and the Rev. Jim Hawthorne of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Sudan Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Lewis was born in Lone Tree, N.D., and moved to Sudan in 1976 from Rochester, Minn. He worked as a painter for St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was a member of Sudan Senior Citizens and First Methodist Church of Sudan. He married Thelma Dudgeon in 1943 at Long Beach, Calif. Survivors include his wife; and a sister, Janice Wagner of Hudson, Fla. The family suggests memorials be to Sudan Emergency Medical Service Fund; or First United Methodist Church of Sudan. Amarillo Daily News July 3, 2000 Fred Elton Wall DIMMITT - Fred Elton Wall, 85, died Friday, June 30, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rusty Dickerson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens by Foskey-LilleyMcGill Funeral Directors. Mr. Wall was born in Swink, Colo., and grew up in Durango, Colo. After serving with the Army during World War II, he farmed and ranched until his retirement in 1971. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt. He was preceded in death by two sons; George Elton Wall in 1967 and John Dana Wall in 1980. He married Georgie Shwen in 1944 at Hereford. Survivors include his wife; two sons, George Gregory Wall and John Eric Wall, both of Dimmitt; a daughter, Haylei D'Nae of Farnsworth; two sisters, Mary Grommett of Bayfield, Colo., and Betty Joe Stinson of Monte Vista, Calif.; and three grandchildren. Julius Early, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in South Park Cemetery at Roswell, N.M., by Ballard Funeral Home of Roswell. Mrs. Tripp was born in Ralls. In Turkey, she was a member of the Family Community Education Club and First United Methodist Church. Her daughter, Cathy Ann Tripp, preceded her in death. She married P.W. Tripp in 1950 at Roswell. Survivors include her husband; a son, Terry Tripp of Amarillo; four brothers, Tommy Melton, Temple Melton, Gene Melton and Dale Melton; three sisters, Norma Carey, Pauline Kohler and Darlene Cole; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; and five step-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Life Tabernacle with the Rev. Mark Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Hudgins was born in Hayworth, Okla., and had lived in Dumas since 1949. She was a member of Life Tabernacle. A licensed vocational nurse, she worked at Memorial Hospital in Dumas, St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, and Panhandle Home Health. She married Melvin "Buddy" Hudgins in 1948 at Kilgore. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Pam McAlister of Overgaard, Ariz., and Tanya Koch of Canadian; two sons, Dickey Hudgins of Denton and Tim Hudgins of Amarillo; three sisters, Esther Cauthen of Dumas, Pearl Crocker of Devers and Mozelle Bates of Idabel, Okla.; two brothers, Floyd Calloway of Arp and Ollice Murray of Muleshoe.
