She had worked in a textile mill. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Joanna. She married William Earl Arthur in 1923 at Edgefield. He died in 1973. She was a member of Groom United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the Senior Citizens and Thimblette Club. She married Elias Crim Goodlett in 1945 at Beckville. He died in 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Hosea of Irving and Marti Kirk of Amarillo; and a granddaughter. Amarillo Daily News, March 3, 2000 Fred Robert Snowdon MEMPHIS - Fred Robert Snowdon, 83, formerly of Memphis, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, in Fresno, Calif. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Neely Landrum officiating. Arrangements are by Memphis Funeral Home. Mr. Snowdon was born in Memphis. He served in the Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired as a mechanic from the Fresno County Public Works Dept. He married Daisy in 1955 in California. He was a farmer and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He married Mary O. Collins who died in 1978. He also was preceded in death by a son, Rick, in 1992. She farmed with her husband in Dawson and Floyd counties. In the early 1970s, she moved to Plainview. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She married Connie O'Brien in 1937 at Lamesa. He died in 1989. Survivors include a daughter, Loy Harrison of Springfield, Va.; a son, Pat O'Brien of Pueblo, Colo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was born in Henderson in Rusk County. A long-time resident of Paducah, she retired from nursing at Richards Memorial Hospital. She moved to Odessa 12 years ago. Her first marriage was to Ezra Ira Nash in 1930 at Clovis, N.M. He died in 1947. She married William Bryan Williams in 1953 at Hollis, Okla. She was preceded in death by Mr. Williams in 1997 and by a son, Burgess Smith. Survivors include two sons, Ezra Ira Nash Jr. and Larry Nash, both of Odessa; two sisters, Lois Laminack of Paducah and Margie Charping of Kilgore; three brothers, Leroy Smith of Odessa, Curtis Smith of Kilgore and Herschel Smith of Rio de Janerio, Brazil; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. He married Evelyn Revell in 1983 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marietta Beth Ariola, in 1961. Billingsley in 1918 at Clarendon. They moved in 1928 from Clarendon to Farwell, where they had a farming business. They retired and moved to Canyon in 1963. She taught Sunday school at Oklahoma Lane Methodist Church and was a member of First Baptist Church and King's Daughters Sunday school class in Canyon. Mrs. Billingsley was preceded in death by her husband in 1965; and by a daughter, Mary Lucille, in 1998. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reagan Miller officiating. Mr. Davis was born in Amarillo where he graduated from Amarillo High School in 1948. In 1953, he graduated from the University of Texas then entered the Army. After his discharge, he entered Texas Tech University and graduated with a degree in electrical engineering in 1958. Mr. Davis was employed by Hughes Aircraft in Los Angeles and Tucson. He was involved in the design of the first communication satellite, which in now in the Smithsonian Museum, and the development and design of the Maverick missile. After retiring from Hughes, Mr. Davis moved to Lancaster, Pa., where he worked for Ferranti International. He retired in 1990 and moved to New Braunfels. Survivors include his wife, Celia; two sons, Lee and Brian; two daughters, Lisa and Melissa; his brother, Bill of Albuquerque, N.M.; and six grandchildren.
