Memorial services were on Tuesday, Sept. 19, in Morrison United Methodist Church at Leesburg with Dr. McCoy Gibbs and the Rev. Barry W. Lane officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg by Beyers Funeral Home of Leesburg. Mrs. Gregg was born in Hollene, N.M. and moved to Pampa in 1932. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1943. She was living in Leesburg at the time of her death. She married F. Browne Gregg in 1946. Survivors include her husband; a son, Fred B. Gregg of Leesburg; two daughters, Jeannie Emack and Gail GreggStrimenos, both of Leesburg; two sisters, Thelma Bray of Pampa and Velma Lard of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. Gilchrest was born in Borger and graduated from Borger High School in 1976. He lived in Amarillo 16 years before returning to Borger two years ago. He was a truck driver for the city of Amarillo. He was a member of Eternal Light Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Gilchrest, in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Mary of Amarillo; a daughter, Leia Gilchrest of Amarillo; his mother, Betty Gilchrest of Borger and two sisters, Karen Watson of Borger and Tammi Ralph of Owensboro, Ky. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sunset Memorial Cemetery with Zeb Sailors, minister of Stinnett Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. King was born in Rogers, Ark., and lived in Stinnett 55 years. During World War II he served in the Army Air Corps. He was a supervisor for Phillips Petroleum Co., retiring after 37 years. He was affiliated with Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Nadine King; two daughters, Lenora Patterson of Houston and Vicky Lynn Johnson of Woodward, Okla.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Williams was born in Oklahoma City and had lived in Shamrock since 1945. She worked as a seamstress for Sanders Men's Store for 35 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge and Shamrock Garden Club. She married Irvin R. Williams in 1945 at Shamrock. He preceded her in death. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, Armstrong Chapel. Mrs. Alward was born in Amarillo. She lived in Claude 30 years before moving to Groom two years ago. She was a master seamstress and quilter and had been commissioned to design and make quilts for celebrities. She was active in Boy Scouts of America and the PTA. She married Alvin L. Alward in 1954 at Tucumcari, N.M. She was preceded in death by three sons, Jerry Dean, Stephen Ray and David Ray, in 1969. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Donna Burton of Groom; a son, Terry Alward of Dumas; her parents, Ed and Dorothy Kennedy of Blum; a sister, Jane Brown of Blum; two brothers, John Kennedy of Blum and Paul Kennedy of Houston; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Williams was born in Gray, Okla., and was a longtime resident of the Perryton area. He graduated from Perryton High School and attended Panhandle State University and Oklahoma State University. He was a navigator for the Air Force. He was a farmer and operated Williams Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning for 25 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Lorine Littau in 1947 at Perryton. Burial will be in 1986. Mr. Garcia was born in Tucumcari. He was a construction carpenter and was living in Albuquerque at the time of this death. He was a Catholic. Mrs. Horton was born in White Bead, Oklahoma Territory. She moved to Curry County in 1926, living in the Pleasant Hill community where she engaged in farming. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Extension Club. In 1951 she moved to Clovis, where she was a homemaker and a member of the 21st Street Church of Christ. She married F.H. "Monk" Horton in 1925 at Marlow, Okla. He died in 1984. Survivors include four sons, Hershel Horton and Jim Horton, both of Clovis, Bob Horton of Belen and Terry Horton of Edmond, Okla.; two brothers, Buck Jester of Clovis and Arthur Jester of Merced, Calif.; three sisters, Dollie Tate of Homeland, Calif., Dicie Daniels of Sacramento, Calif., and Dessie Billard of Klamath Falls, Ore.; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. MDT today in Kenton Baptist Church with Galen Smith officiating. Burial will be in Kenton Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary at Boise City. Mr. Tucker was born in Lamar, Colo., and moved with his family to a homestead on Carrizo Creek, near Kenton. He was a rancher and worked with his father and brother in ranching operations in Oklahoma, Colorado and New Mexico. He was a member of Kenton Baptist Church. He married Fannie Mae Cowart in 1940 at Kenton. She died in 1978. He married Leona Olin in 1983 at Kenton. Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, David Olin and Tim Olin; four stepdaughters, Patricia, Sarah, Pamela and Martha; a brother, Fred Tucker of Stratford, Texas; and many stepgrandchildren.
