Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fellowship of Believers with Dr. Nathan Stone, worship leader, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mrs. Dearing was born in Erick, Okla. She moved to Deaf Smith County in 1954 from Clovis, N.M. She operated Dearing Wrecking Co. She was a member of Fellowship of Believers. She married Anson Dearing in 1946 at Portales, N.M. He died in 1995. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara June Tucker, in 1974. Survivors include two sons, Larry Dearing of Hereford and Rodney Dearing of Roswell, N.M.; two daughters, Carolyn Kubacak of Hereford and Sharon Charest of Olton; a brother, Sim Clark of Muleshoe; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Fellowship of Believers. Amarillo Daily News, Feb. 4, 2000 Irvin Buchanan PERRYTON - Irvin "Buck" Buchanan, 98, formerly of Perryton, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church Holly Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Underwood of Richmond, Va., officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Memorial services in Arkansas City, Ark., are planned for later. Mr. Buchanan was born in Brazos County and moved to Ochiltree County at an early age. In 1944, he moved to Arkansas City and worked as a farmer and stockman. In 1948, he returned to Perryton, where he built and managed the radio station KEYE. He later opened a cable TV business. He taught school, worked for a lumber company and also served as a county and district clerk. He returned to Arkansas City in 1963. He was living in Waco at the time of his death. Mr. Buchanan was a 75-year member of Perryton Masonic Lodge. He was past president of the Lions Club, Rotary Club and Perryton Chamber of Commerce. He was a longtime deacon in First Baptist Church. He married Lucile Underwood in 1925. She died in 1974. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Dubberley. Survivors include a son, I.R. Buchanan Jr. of Waco; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Seale, 82, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. James McLeod, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Seale was born in Jester, Okla., and had been a longtime Wellington resident. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married E.B. Seale in 1940. He died in 1991. Survivors include four brothers, Paul Winters of Kennedale, John Winters of Pineville, La., Eugene Winters of Meridian, Okla., and Ollie Winters of Westminster, Colo.; two sisters, Edith Tramel of Fort Worth and June Chapman of Kennedale. Mrs. Robinson was born in Indian Territory, Oklahoma, and moved to Hereford in 1917. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She married James Ervin Robinson Sr. in 1924 at Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973 and a son, John Garland Robinson, in 1964. Survivors include two daughters, Seletta Gholson of Hereford and Eva Pearl Spurgeon of Concord, N.C.; a son, James Ervin Robinson Jr. of Hereford; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Russell was a native of Sumner, Ill., and a Panhandle resident since 1936. She married Cecil Russell in 1936 at Panhandle. She was preceded in death by a son, David Russell, in 1976. Leon Lothman, pastor of Living Word Fellowship in Guymon, Okla., officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Mr. Wilson was born in Guymon. He moved to Fritch from Gruver. In 1995, he retired as a gasoline plant operator for Mapco. He was a Navy veteran and a Baptist. He was a guitarist who played at country western events. He married Jo Arthur in 1961 at Guymon. Survivors include his wife; a son, Bryan Wilson of Fritch; a daughter, Dana Wilson Smith of Levelland; three brothers, Marvin G. Wilson of Dalhart, Benny Wilson of Gruver and Lanny Wilson of Guymon; three sisters, Marvella Smith, Floydella Lotham and Sharon Heflin, all of Guymon; and two grandchildren. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Williams was born in Erick, Okla. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1969 and graduated from West Texas State University in 1973 with a degree in music. He was band director for Angleton Independent School District. He later returned to Pampa and was employed by Titan Industries. He volunteered at Good Samaritan Christian Services. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Jimmye Cole, minister of Church of the Nazarene. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home, Dalhart. Mrs. Matthews was born in Nara Visa, N.M. She was raised in Stratford and moved to Dalhart in 1940. She was a homemaker, an artist and member of the Dalhart Fine Arts Association. In 1944, she married Riley Valentine Matthews at Santa Rosa, Calif. He died in 1998. Survivors include a son, Dale Matthews of Austin; two daughters, Hazel Marie Morris of Dalhart and Jenny Matthews of Eldorado, Kan.; a brother, Tom Stubblefield of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Julia Ann Jones of Aurora, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Taggart, 73, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Veteran's Chapel with Chris Kutin, chaplain, officiating. Burial will be at sea. Arrangements are by BlackburnShaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Taggert was born in Nashville, Ind. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1934 to 1962. During World War II, he was cited for meritorious and distinguished service by Admiral Halsey. He was a rigger in civilian life. He married Calista Murphy in 1946 at Yuma, Ariz. She died in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Calista Kelley of Amarillo; two sons, Raymond Taggart of Orange City, Fla., and Noel Taggart of Descanso, Calif.; a stepson, Dennis Murphy of Hesperia, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Selma Richards of Pampa and Mona Ridgaway of Amarillo; and 21 grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Feb. 4, 2000 Cathryn Carter Williams Cathryn "Mama Cathryn" Carter Williams, 91, of Amarillo, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. James L. Collins, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes. Mrs. Williams was born in Hubbard where she was a member of the Lovely Hope Baptist Church. She attended public schools in Hubbard and Paris. In 1945, she moved to Amarillo and joined the Mount Zion Baptist Church where she was a member of the Esther Circle and served in the Senior Usher Ministry. She served as secretary of the Missionary Society and a circle was named in her honor. Mrs. Williams and her husband were among the first black entrepreneurs in Amarillo. They co-owned the Dependable Cab Company until his death. She continued to operate the business until her retirement. She married Felix "Daddy Felix" Williams Sr. in 1938. She was preceded in death by her husband and two children, Betty Fenley and Felix Williams Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Rose Marie Davis of Fairfield, Calif., and Willetta Jackson of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 30 greatgreat-grandchildren. A prayer service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in BlackburnShaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with the Rev. Ray Ramos officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Ms. Silva was born in Amarillo and raised in Mexico. Moving back to Amarillo, she worked as a housekeeper. She was a member of the Iglesia Christiana Evangelica Discipulas De Cristo Church. Survivors include a son, Sammy Silva of Amarillo; a brother, Ancesion Gonzales of Rio Rancho, N.M.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1020 S. Eastern. Amarillo Daily News, Feb. 4, 2000 Mayo McGee and Jeanette McGee Mayo McGee, 69, and Jeanette McGee, 68, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Cattau officiating. Entombment will be in Llano Mausoleum by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. McGee was born in Forestburg. In high school, he was captain of the basketball team. Mrs. McGee was born in Rosston and was captain of her high school volleyball team. In 1955, Mr. McGee started the Hayes-McGee Insurance business with his wife as a partner. They were members of the Tascosa Country Club. Mr. McGee was a founding member of the San Jacinto Lions Club. The McGees were married in 1955. Survivors include a son, Dan McGee of Dodd City; a daughter, Stacy Garland Stach of Waco; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition, Mr. McGee is survived by three sisters, Virginia Wilkerson and Jane Griffin, both of Wichita Falls, and Edna Merle Hill of Bowie; and two brothers, Jan McGee of Morgan and Chris McGee of Henrietta. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis with the Rev. Ron Eggleton officiating. Arrangements are by Steed-Todd Funeral Home of Clovis. Mrs. Hutchinson was born in Troy, Kan., and lived in Clovis. She was a charter member of First Christian Church. She worked as a bookkeeper at New Mexico Roofing and Sheet Metal from 1941 to 1968. In 1996, she moved to Albuquerque. She married Albert Hutchinson in 1972 at Clovis. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Johnson. Survivors include her husband; two stepsons, Ken Hutchinson of Albuquerque and Gary Hutchinson of California ; a half sister, Bernice Stuart of Richmond, Calif.; three grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. She and her husband moved to the Bueyeros area until 1952 when they moved to Clayton. The Timmons owned and operated Timmons Sales since 1952. She joined the First United Methodist Church. She married R. Allen Timmons in 1942 in Smithville, Ill. Survivors include her husband; a son, Gary Timmons of Albuquerque; a brother, Charles Moore of Albuquerque; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Hill was born in Texola. She graduated from Texola High School in 1950 and attended Chicago School of Nursing. After receiving her certificate, she worked at the Erick Hospital. She moved to Sayre and then to Erick. She married Foy Hill in 1964 at Texola. He preceded her in death. He received his bachelor's degree from McMurry University and a master's in divinity from Southern Methodist University. He served in Wolfforth and Smyer and held a staff position with the Northwest Texas Conference Office of the United Methodist Church. He married Frankie Barefield in 1957 at Portales, N.M.
