He owned M&R Insulation and Universal Builders Inc. He was active in the Builder's Association and received the Associate of the Year award. He served on the Board of City Development. He was a former race car driver at the Amarillo Speed Bowl. He was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church, Moose Lodge, Masonic Lodge No. 1330, Lubbock Consistory of Scottish Rite and Khiva Temple. He also was past president of the patrol unit. He married Robbie Thrasher in 1953 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Terri Hawkins of Amarillo; a son, Jerry Sinclair of Lakeland, Fla.; three sisters, Pat Tyler and Rose Hadaway, both of Amarillo, and Elsie Barnett of Oklahoma City; three brothers, B.G. He was a member of the Trucker's Chapel. He married Daryline Caywood in 1977 at Amarillo. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Bayles was born in Alvord. Before moving to Fort Worth in 1998, she lived in Amarillo for 62 years. She was a homemaker and a member of East Amarillo Church of Christ. She married Lawrence Bayles in 1945 at Amarillo. He died in 1996. Survivors include two sons, Kenny Bayles of Fort Worth and Steven Bayles of Austin; a daughter, Shirley Shannon of Eureka Springs, Ark.; and six grandchildren. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Ochiltree Cemetery at Perryton. Mrs. LaMaster was born in Carbondale, Ill. After graduating from Sullivan High School in Chicago, she attended the Art Institute in Chicago and became a fashion model for commercial photography after attending the Mallon-Friel Modeling Studio. She moved to Dennison, where she married Henry LaMaster in 1947. She lived in Perryton and Collinsville. In 1954, while living in Whitesboro, she was president of her PEO organization, Chapter A. In 1962, she moved to Amarillo, where she was a member of Amarillo Chapter CV. She was a Presbyterian. Survivors include her husband; a son, Richard LaMaster of Amarillo; two daughters, Regna Wood of Kilgore and Carol Howe of Waco; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Osage St. Mr. Huckaby was born in Crosby County and moved to Amarillo in 1964 from Fremont, Calif. He was a veteran of the Air Force and worked as a mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service vehicle maintenance facility. A former softball umpire for the Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department, he was a member of the Billiard Congress of America and the Amarillo Men's Bowling Association. He married Patricia Adkins Becker in 1977 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sherrie Huckaby of Portland, Ore., and Kimela Barrow and Anna Slaughter, both of Amarillo; a son, William Huckaby of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Donald Huckaby of Tracy, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Storseth was born in Amarillo. After graduating from Amarillo High School, he attended Amarillo College and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Maryland. He taught air transport economics at the Universities of Maryland and Pittsburgh and received organization and management training at Yale and Stanford Universities. During World War II, he served with the Navy. He worked for American Airlines in economic research and sales and for the Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the American Petroleum Institute. He then worked for Tri-State Regional Planning Commission in New York City for the states of Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York as Director of Finance and Administration until his retirement in 1983. He served on the Aviation and Highway Committee and the Air Show Committee of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. He was active with the Amarillo High School Reunion committees and the Amarillo High School 50th Alumni Association. He was a member of the Texas Aviation Historical Society, the Downtown Lions Club, and First Baptist Church. Survivors include four brothers, Donald Storseth and Eddie Storseth, both of Amarillo, and Bill Storseth and Jerry Storseth, both of Houston; and a sister, Gladys Olivier of Amarillo. Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Nachtigall of Highland Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements were by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Wallin was born in Pampa and was a lifelong resident. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a firefighter for the city of Pampa, retiring in 1986. He was a Baptist and Scoutmaster for First Baptist Church Troop 22. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Pampa and the American Legion in Miami. Mr. Wallin married Alice Heidekrueger in 1952 at Chicago. She died in 1991. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Lee, in 1959; and by a son, Kenneth Lee Wallin, in 1991. Survivors include three sons, Virgil Wade Wallin Jr. of Texas, Dennis Michael Wallin of Elk City, Okla., and Steven Timothy Wallin of Pampa; a daughter, Coralee Unruh of Pampa; a brother, Bobby Wallin of Lawton, Okla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Tarbox, 91, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Marcus Adair, pastor of Faith Bible Center in Canyon, and the Rev. John Glover, associate pastor of First Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Higgins Cemetery at Higgins. Mr. Tarbox was born in Ellis County, Okla. He had been a resident of Pampa for over 30 years, moving from Follett. He last resided in Amarillo. In 1935 he was city marshal at Higgins. In Lipscomb County he served as deputy sheriff from 1936-42 and sheriff from 1942-44. During World War II he served in the Navy, returning to Lipscomb County. He was reelected sheriff and served from 1946-60. Mr. Tarbox was Lipscomb County judge from 1963-71. He served one term on the City Council and operated motels in Pampa, retiring in 1978. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Texas Sheriff's Association. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Tarbox married Thelma Murl Crites in 1931 at Arnett, Okla. She died in 1996. Survivors include a son, Dr. Everett J. Tarbox, Jr. of Highlands, N.C.; a brother, Clyde Tarbox of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church of Pampa. Mr. Six was born in Alanreed and lived in Dumas 21 years. He served in the Army and was a retired carpenter. Mr. Six is survived by a sister, Valda Foyil of Dumas. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation and arrangements will be by Stone Chapel of Poulsbo, Wash. Mr. Kester was born in Mertzon and had lived in Lockney and Hereford, where he graduated from high school. He studied watchmaking as an apprentice to his older brother in Glenwood Springs, Colo., and in Denver. He married Lueta Borden in 1939 at Hereford. During World War II they lived in Seattle, where he worked as an inspection supervisor at the Boeing aircraft factory. After the war they moved to Bainbridge Island and he worked at a jewelry store in Seattle. After he retired they moved to Poulsbo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Kester of Shoreline, Wash.; a daughter, Katrina O'Neill of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; a sister, Nell Culpepper of Hereford; and two grandchildren. Mr. Montgomery was a former resident of Memphis and lived in Richardson the past 47 years. During World War II he served in the South Pacific with the Army 51st Hospital. He was a proofreader for the Dallas Times Herald and a member of the Memphis Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Maurine Thompson in 1946 at Amarillo. She was past president of Hall County Hospital Auxiliary and a member of First Baptist Church. She married Lowell Houston in 1945 at Fort Scott, Kan. He died in 1988. Bates LOGAN, N.M. - Olive E. Bates, 61, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000. Memorial services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Logan-Fitzner Park. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Bates was born in Mabton, Wash., and had lived in Logan 26 years. She served on the village of Logan Commission for more than 20 years and was past mayor pro tem. She was an emergency medical technician and EMT instructor and bus driver for Logan schools. She was active in civic and community activities in the Logan area. Survivors include her husband, Jim D. Bates; two daughters, Terry Bates of Vancouver, Wash., and Tami Williams of Moriarty, N.M.; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Wes Stewart, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Martin was born in Duncan, Okla., and was a longtime resident of Tucumcari. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Her husband, Andrew Martin, died in 1980. Survivors include four sons, Hershell Martin and Bob Martin, both of Tucumcari, Marvin Martin of Clayton and Julian Martin of Castroville, Texas; a daughter, Katherine Davis of Roswell; three sisters, Louise of Duncan, Jeneva of Oklahoma, and Nancy of Clayton; two brothers, Joe Charter of Oklahoma and Bage of California. Reynolds, 90, died Thursday, June 1, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ed Abla officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Lt. Col. Reynolds was born in Flippin, Ark. After serving during World War II and later in the Army Reserves, he retired from the Army. He was an auto mechanic. He married Lila Lee in 1937 and in 1946, they moved to Clovis, where he and his brother owned and operated Reynolds Brothers Service Station. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Linda Lee, Barbara Slemp, and Virginia McCreery, all of Clovis; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. MDT Tuesday in Wheeler Mortuary Chapel at Portales with the Rev. J.R. "Dick" Ross officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. CDT in Llano Cemetery at Amarillo. Mrs. Saint was born in Dora. After graduating from Dora High School in 1934, she operated the Dora Cafe and helped run the school buses. In 1948, she moved to Amarillo. She was a charter member of St. Stephens Methodist Church and worked as a waitress in several Amarillo restaurants. She helped manage the snack bar at the Y.M.C.A., and later taught adult education classes in sewing at Amarillo College. In 1994, she moved to Portales and in 1999, she moved to Clovis. She married Maurice E. Saint in 1953 at Tucumcari. He died in 1981. Survivors include three brothers, Kenneth Victor and W.G. "Bill" Victor, both of Dora, and Bennie Victor of Portales; and three sisters, Iola Rawls of Retirement Ranch in Clovis, Joann Hemenway of League City, Texas, and Betty Kyte of Portales. Gene Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Roberts was born in Clovis and was a homemaker. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, the Ranchville Extension Club, and the Encando Garden Club. While living in Farmington, she was active with the Senior Citizens Activity Center. She married Edward Roberts in 1946 at Santa Fe. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a grandson. Survivors include three sons, Jackie L. Dunlap of Abilene, Texas, Raford Roberts of Clovis, and Eddie Roberts of Farmington; a daughter, Betty L. Dunlap of Clovis; a sister, Adelle Talley of Portales; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery at Amarillo. Mrs. Erhardt was born in Shawnee, Okla., and moved to Big Spring in 1955. She worked as a nurse and X-ray technician at Big Spring State Hospital. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge and Phi Sigma Alpha. She was a member of First Baptist Church and worked in the pre-school department and library. She was a member of the senior choir and sang at nursing homes. She married Marvin Richey Erhardt in 1941 at Amarillo. He died in 1957. She also was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Thomas Erhardt, in 1974. Survivors include nieces and nephews.
