Mr. Leos married Rosa Aranda in 1992 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Myrella Leticia Leos and Gayleen Leos, both of Amarillo; a son, Luis A. He graduated from Groom High School, where he was football team captain in 1939 and lettered in basketball. He had worked on the family stock farm. He was an Army Air Corps engineer and top turret gunner in the eighth Air Force Bomber Station at England. He received the Flying Cross. Mr. Britten was a cattleman and patron of Amarillo Livestock Auction. He owned and operated Tower Fuel Stop of Groom and was founder of the Leaning Water Tower in Groom. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He married Mary McDonald in 1951 at Dalhart. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Janie Street of Pampa and Barbara Fowlkes of Amarillo; six sons, Kenneth Britten, Tim Britten, Chris Britten and Vince Britten, all of Amarillo, Greg Britten of Groom and Steve Britten of Dallas; two sisters, Sister Louise Britten of Panhandle and Dora Jean Homan of Amarillo; three brothers, Art Britten of Groom, Bill Britten of Amarillo and Norman Britten of Traverse City, Mich.; and 23 grandchildren. He was a corporal in the Army, serving during World War II. He owned and operated Lloyd's of Logan, a plumbing contractor company. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park. Mrs. Chacon was born in Alamosa and was a longtime resident of Logan. She cooked for restaurants in Logan. She was a homemaker and a member of the San Antonio Catholic Church. She had lived in Clovis for the past eight years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail Chacon, in 1996. Survivors include two sons, Don Chacon of Tucumcari and Norman Chacon of Clovis; a daughter, Celia Valencia of Albuquerque; grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Ray was born in Meade, Kan., and had lived in Dumas for the past 18 years. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing at Amarillo College. She was a registered nurse, former clinical director at Baptist-St. Anthony's Health System, former co-owner of Family Nursing Services in Amarillo and former director of Panhandle Home Health Agency in Dumas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Bill Ray in 1964 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Valerie Copeland of Dumas and Kim Steinkoenig of Amarillo; a son, David Ray of Dumas; two sisters, Glenda Moore of Hutchinson, Kan., and Susie Schmit of Austin; two brothers, Dariel Hinsdale and Larry Hinsdale, both of Hutchinson; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was a longtime resident of Maple and Morton communities. He graduate from Threeway High School in 1979 and attended South Plains College. He was a farmer and was Soil Conservation Farmer of the Year in 1998. He married Connie Foust in 1984 at Morton. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brandon Eubanks and Stephen Eubanks, both of Morton; his parents, W.C. and Betty Eubanks of Maple; a brother, Bill Eubanks of Shallowater; and a grandfather, W.H. Eubanks of Lubbock. She moved to Hobbs in 1936 and to Wellington in 1980. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Hobbs. She was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Collingsworth County and the First United Methodist Church in Wellington. She was a homemaker. She married Eldon C. Allman in 1936 at Hobbs. He died in 1973. Survivors include a daughter, Julia Allman Barjenbruch of Kingwood; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Abney officiating. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery by Moore-RoseWhite Funeral Home. Mr. Strickland was born in Coleman. He attended school in Central and graduated from high school in Weinert. In 1943, he moved from Coleman to Lockney. He retired as a barber in 1979. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Odd Fellows and the First Baptist Church. He married Virginia Lee Wigington in 1949. Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Strickland of Evergreen, Colo.; a daughter, Carol Stewart of New Braunfels; two brothers, Bill Strickland of Lockney and Jude Strickland of Amarillo; a sister, Wanda Zachary of Lockney; and five grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 4, 2000 Peter Paul Blanda PAMPA - Peter Paul "Pete" Blanda, 83, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Blanda was born in Youngwood, Pa. He earned a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University. During World War II, he was a captain in the Marines. He was a petroleum engineer and district superintendent for Kewanee Oil Co., later a part of Gulf Oil and then Chevron. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Oklahoma, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Blanda married Betty Diltz in 1942 at Clovis, N.M. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Nan Blanda, in 1977. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Paula Heybach of Irving; a sister, Margaret Yakubisin of Youngwood; five brothers, George Blanda of Chicago, Mike Blanda and Paul Blanda, both of Youngwood, John Blanda of Columbus, Ohio and Tom Blanda of San Antonio.
