Tiffin SILVERTON - Vivian R. Tiffin, 85, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, in Tulia. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jay Stinson, pastor, and the Rev. Randy Mullin, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Silverton Cemetery by Myers-Long Funeral Directors. Mrs. Tiffin was born at Athens and grew up in the Flomot community. She married Keyth Tiffin in 1935 at Estelline. They owned and operated a dry goods store in Silverton from 1946 until retiring in 1981. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Order of The Eastern Star. Mrs. Tiffin was preceded in death by her husband in 1994; and by a son, Doyle Tiffin, in 1997. Survivors include a sister, Merle Austin of Lindale; two grandsons and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church elevator fund. Amarillo Daily News, Oct. 4, 2000 Linda Hope Lemons George CLARENDON - Linda Hope Lemons George, 60, formerly of Clarendon, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Citizens Cemetery with Ken Cargle of Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors. Ms. George was born in Clarendon and was a longtime resident before moving to Amarillo 10 months ago. She retired as office manager from Crow Hollow Cattle Feeders near Hedley. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Amarillo. Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Pierce of Pampa, Chris De Luna of Amarillo and Carol Miller of Canyon; a son, Carl George of Hereford; a sister, Johnnie Potts of Amarillo; and six grandchildren. Mr. Morris was born in South Plains and attended schools in Roswell, N.M., Decatur and Hereford. He moved to Plainview in 1970. He was an independent truck driver and worked for Andy Taylor Trucking and Steere Tank Lines. He was a Baptist. He married Dolores Tisdale in 1953 at Clovis, N.M. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Wheeler of Vega and Cathy Dougherty of Plainview; a son, Charlie Morris of Lake City, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Biles was born in Artesia, N.M. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1974. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. She married Robert Biles in 1974 at Edmonson. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wayne Biles, in 1997. He was self-employed, working in the oil patch and as a used car and scrap metal dealer. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Reta Faye Jones in 1960 at Fort Worth. Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Clyde "Jamey" Baldwin III of Tucson, Ariz., and Carl W. Baldwin of Arlington; three daughters, Kim L. Baldwin of Portland, Ore., and Letha F. Mr. Mahorney was born in Poteau, Okla. He moved to Paducah in 1940. He was a water well driller. He married Ruth Vandecar in 1936 at Sapulpa, Okla. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Wayne Mahorney, in 1997. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bill Mahorney and Donald Mahorney, both of Paducah; a daughter, Betty Paschal of Paducah; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He preceded her in death. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1976. He was a brakeman for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. He was a member of the United Transportation Union Local No. 1313 and Polk Street United Methodist Church. He married Wynell Shannon in 1993 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Carlyn Montgomery of Amarillo; a brother, Keith Montgomery of Amarillo; and two sisters, Emily Flemming of Coppell and Julie McMurry of Borger. Services will be at 10 a.m. todayin Wheeler Mortuary Chapel with Scott Reeves officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Dora. Mr. Gresham was born in Portales and grew up in Dora. He graduated from Dora High School in 1989 and studied computer operation at a trade school in Arizona. He then returned to Clovis where he worked for Yucca Telecommunications. He worked as a certified nurse's aide in Portales; Farwell, Texas; Clovis; and Amarillo. He was living in Oklahoma City at the time of his death. He was a member of Dora Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Elliston Gresham; a son, Britt Michael Gresham of Amarillo; a daughter, Samantha Michelle Gresham of Amarillo; his parents, Ona Lee and M.S. "Junior" Gresham of Portales; two brothers, Rick Gresham of Dora and Tony Gresham of Melrose; a sister, Nicky Jaquez of Farmington; a half sister, Shanon Coe of Seminole, Texas; and two cousins with whom he was raised, Rhonda Ainsworth and Gaylord Coe. Melton Adams was born in Ada, Okla., and had lived in Tucumcari 11/2 years. He was an airplane mechanic. David Adams was born in Everett, Wash., and had lived in Tucumcari for two years. He was a truck driver. Survivors of Melton Adams include his wife, Rosemary Adams; two daughters, Nancy Cutting of Dallas and Linda Bray of Fredericksburg, Va.; his mother, Lida Hilton of Herlong, Calif.; four sisters, Margie Hopkins of Herlong, Joan Adams of Texas, Joyce Huelle of Ada, Okla., and Jean Hancock of Los Angeles; a brother, Leon Adams of Bakersfield, Calif.; and six grandchildren. She graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1959. She co-owned and operated Shoestring Interior Decorating of Sayre with Joan Ellison. She moved to Guymon in 1981 and in 1990 to Amarillo, where she was a member of Trinity Fellowship. She had recently moved to Cheyenne. Survivors include two daughters, Tori Chewning of Amarillo and Shari Kendall of Pauls Valley; her mother, Ina Lancaster of Cheyenne; a sister, Charlean Hutchins of Cheyenne; a brother, Charles Baker of Cheyenne; and five grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Oct. 4, 2000 Elsewhere Troy Allen Reiser UNIVERSAL CITY - Troy Allen Reiser, 38, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000. Memorial will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Faith Christian Family Church at Clovis, N.M., with the Rev. David Swann officiating. Burial was in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis by Muffley Funeral Home in Clovis. Mr. Reiser was born in Phoenix. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1979. While a student he played for the Fighting Wildcats basketball team and was on the 1979 state championship team. He attended Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Okla. He was a marketing executive with Rainbow International Corp. and the founder and owner of Service Products Inc. in San Antonio. He ministered at Teens of San Antonio, a church for young people. Survivors include his parents, George and Betty Reiser of Clovis; two sisters, Laura Ellis and April Snipes, both of Clovis; and grandparents, Leon and Faye Price of Scottsdale, Ariz. The family will be at 1516 Avondale Blvd. in Clovis. Amarillo Daily News, Oct. 4, 2000 Narrel W. Wilson LUBBOCK - Narrel W. Wilson, 71, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Christian Church with Dr. Michael Passmore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in city of Lubbock Cemetery by Sanders Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson was born in Paducah and grew up in Spearman. He graduated from Spearman High School and attended Texas Tech University, where he studied electrical engineering. During the Korean War he served in the Air Force. In 1956 he began as a civil service aircraft electrician at Reese Air Force base and retired in 1984. He served as board director for Texas Plains Federal Credit Union and attended Trinity Church. He married Jeanene Graves in 1950 at Spearman. Survivors include his wife; a son, Keith Wilson of Lubbock; a daughter, Kim Day of Dallas; a sister, Wanda Newman Bryant of Elk City, Okla.; and two grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to University Baptist Mission, 2420 10th Ave., Lubbock, TX 79401. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
