Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Arrington Edwards Funeral Home at Eastland. Burial will be in Eastland Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Stephenville and came to West Texas when she was 5 years old. She lived in Hedley and then moved back to Olden. She graduated from Olden High School. She lived in San Angelo before moving to Amarillo. During World War II she served as a Red Cross volunteer. She was a member of First Baptist Church in San Angelo and was church secretary. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by two husbands, Jay L. Brown in 1958 and Jack Mitchell; and by a son, Jimmy Ray Brown. Survivors include two sons, Max Brown of Amarillo and Grady Brown of Houston; a stepdaughter, Patricia Scott of Dallas; two sisters, Lillian Morrow of Yantis and Ardie Hamilton of Mineral Wells; six grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Interstate 40. Cremation is by Memorial Park Crematory. Mr. Patel was born in India. He moved to Amarillo in 1999 from Decatur, Ill. He was retired. He married Santaben Patel in 1947 in India. She died in 1963. Survivors include a daughter, Gita Patel of Macon, Ga.; two sons, Mike Patel and Rashni Patel, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Vidya Patel of Boston and Charu Patel of London; and six grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Loden was a lifelong resident of Amarillo. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Freewill Baptist Church. He married Johnnie Amos in 1941 at Tucumcari, N.M.. She died in 1997. He was also preceded in death by a son, Andy Loden. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Lee and Trunell Boggs, both of Amarillo; a son, David Loden of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shirley was born in Mobeetie and lived in Pampa since 1931 until she moved to Amarillo in 1977. She was an artist and the bookkeeper for the family business. She was a member of the Pampa Fine Arts Club and the First Baptist Church of Pampa. She married Cecil G. Shirley in 1937 at Panhandle. He died in 1973. Survivors include two daughters, De Anne Boylan of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Sue Kite of Amarillo; a son, Dr. Gene Shirley of Bellville; four sisters, Evelyn Strimple of Temple, Dorothy Scott and Jean Shinkle, both of Belton and Rachel Gallian of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was an Army colonel and served with the Rangers Special Forces in Korea and received his master's degree from Stanford University. He was a building contractor and a member of Assemblies of God Church. He married Anne Wriska in 1985 at Burlington, Ky. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Clore, in 1980. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Josh Clore of Amarillo, Rodney Clore and Matthew Clore, both of California; and four daughters, Pam Clore of California, Lisa Renee Clore of Fort Worth and Tricia Clore and Stephanie Clore both of Amarillo. She also lived in Owasso in Indian Territory. She was a housewife and taught Sunday school more than 50 years. She married Ernest R. Schulz in 1918. He died in 1978. Survivors include a son, Tom Schulz of Fort Worth; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Miss Davis was born in Gainesville, Texas. She moved to Clovis in 1935 from Plainview. She worked for Levine's Department Store in Plainview and was employed by Southwestern Public Service Co. 30 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Clovis and United Methodist Women. Mr. Keith was born in Marietta, Okla., in Indian Territory and completed high school at Wilburton, Okla. in 1927. He lived in Amarillo 20 years while working for the postal service. In 1946 he moved to Carlsbad. He was a golf professional and was involved in golf course construction and design. He was a member of Eddy Lodge and became Master Mason in 1953. He had been Exalted Ruler at Amarillo Elks Lodge, president of Methodist Men's Club and a member of the parks and recreation board for Carlsbad. He was a former member of the advisory board of Botanical Park. He was a city park superintendent. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He married Colleen Terry in 1927 at McAlester, Okla. She died in 1999. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Savacool of Carlsbad and Billie Kenney of Lubbock; two brothers, Lonnie Keith and Jack Keith, both of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Martin was born in Raton and moved to Portales in 1956. He graduated from Portales High School in 1972 and had worked for the New Mexico State Highway Dept. since 1975. He was a member of University Baptist Church. He married Orlene Hilliard in 1983 at Portales. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Jewel B. Martin of Portales; and three sisters, Sue Martin of Taos, Stana Stoker of Santa Fe and Krista Foster of Roswell. Mrs. Ferguson was born in Tuscola and graduated from Tuscola High School. She was a resident of Lubbock since 1962. She was a certified nurse's aid and worked as a private duty nurse. She was a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church. She married Kinnith Wilson "Buck" Ferguson in 1934. He died in 1966. Randy White, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Pearce was born in Paris, Texas, and grew up in Groom, where he attended school. He moved to White Deer in 1981 and to Pampa in 1991. He was a fuel-delivery driver. He was a Baptist. He married Sharon Adams in 1985 at White Deer. Survivors include his wife; a son, Tim Fort of Lamar, Colo.; a twin brother, Perry Pearce of Spearman; and two grandchildren. The body will not be available for viewing. Amarillo Daily News, April 5, 2000 Pauline Schroeder PERRYTON - Pauline Calliham Schroeder, 82, formerly of Perryton, died Sunday, April 2, 2000. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Schroeder-Calliham Family Cemetery, south of Booker, with the Rev. Carl Thorell officiating. Arrangements are by Good Samaritan Funeral Service in Booker. Mrs. Schroeder was born in Conway. In 1926 she moved to the Wolf Creek area of Ochiltree County, where she attended Alfalfa country school. She graduated from Canyon High School and attended West Texas State College until returning to Perryton. She married Edward Schroeder in 1940 at Perryton, where they engaged in farming and ranching. They moved to the Wolf Creek area in 1973. She owned and operated the Fabric Mart until her retirement in 1995. Mrs. Schroeder was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and was named Homemaker of the Year in 1984. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gregg Schroeder and Cal Schroeder, both of Wolf Creek; two daughters, Paulette Jerome of Glennallen, Alaska, and Pam Wolff of Perryton; a brother, Sammy Calliham of Austin; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He died in 1985. Mr. Carden was born in Pea Ridge, Ark., and graduated from Pea Ridge High School in 1935. He was a farmer and owned the Jacket Store in Pea Ridge. He worked for Ralston Purina in Springdale and Farmland in Fort Smith, Ark., Cheraw, Colo., and McGregory, Texas. He moved to Rogers, Ark., when he retired, and to Shamrock in 1983. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Vernell Hale in 1983 at Shamrock. He married Eva Mae Dean in 1937. She died in 1982. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry Lee Carden. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Beverly Van Laningham of Chickasha, Okla., and Carolyn Sue James of Lowell, Ark; a stepson, David Hale of Perryton; a stepdaughter, Linda Ezzell of Abilene; five grandchildren; ten stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Riddle was born in Stephens County, Duncan, Okla., and lived in Muleshoe since 1926. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Muleshoe, where she worked in the nursery. She married Harl Reeder at Duncan in 1926. He died in 1956. She married Cliff Riddle in 1974 at Lipan. He died in 1975. Survivors include a son, E.L. Reeder of Brownwood; two daughters, Mary Jo Burge of Muleshoe and Dorothy Bowers of Mount Pleasant; a sister, Dorothy Ward of Evans, West Va.; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. Mr. Long was born in Young County and was a resident of Yoakum County from 1948 until he moved to Hedley in 1982. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a farmer. He was a member and 32nd Degree Mason of the Lubbock Masonic Lodge and a Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He married Jane Freeman in 1947 at Seymour. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Betty "B.J." Mrs. Fuller was born in Smith County, Tenn. She earned her bachelor's degree at Tennessee Tech and taught school in Tennessee and Pampa for 12 years. She taught piano lessons in Pampa. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She moved to Plano in 1995. She married William Henry Fuller in 1936 at Scottsville, Ky. He died in 1978. Survivors include two sons, Don Fuller of Lancaster, Calif., and Gordon Fuller of Lucas; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Hefley was born in Plainview. She lived in Carlsbad and Artesia, N.M. until 1968. She lived in Portales, N.M. before becoming a resident of Pampa. She worked for the county clerk in Carlsbad and for the sheriff in Artesia. She worked for a minor league baseball club and several drilling companies. She was a former member of the Derrick Club in Artesia and a member of the Women's Club. She was a member of the South Side Church of Christ in Portales. She married J.C. Hefley in 1940 at Carlsbad. He died in 1968. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Renner of Pampa and Katie Gunter of Abilene; seven grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
