Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David L. Evans officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Cross was born in Eastland. He served in the military during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart. He retired from the Army in 1968. He moved to Amarillo in 1975 from Hereford. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Cross was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Michael Cross, in 1952; and by a daughter, LaJuanda Cross, in 1996. Survivors include his wife, Blanche Cross; three sisters, Norene Murphy of Garland, Bennie Curfew of Crane and Rosa Starnes of Snyder; and four brothers, Ronald Cross of Big Spring, Glenn Cross and H.T. Cross, both of Midland, and Vernon Cross of Snyder. The family suggests memorials be to Trinity Baptist Church building fund. Anna Woolsey, 90, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Woolsey was born in Coalgate, Okla. She moved to Amarillo in 1950 from Carter, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Assembly of God. She married Clinton Woolsey in 1930 at Sentinel, Okla. He died in 1998. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Woolsey in 1936 and Leland Woolsey in 1990; and by a daughter, Annell Gross, in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Hildreth of Amarillo; four sons, Delton Woolsey and Mike Woolsey, both of Amarillo, Nathan Woolsey of Sullivan, Ill., and Pat Woolsey of Anaheim, Calif.; a brother, Haskel Lesley of Sentinel; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the American Cancer Society. HEREFORD - Eula Lee Gilbreth Cave, 86, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Rose Chapel of Gililland-Watson Funeral Home with George Ochs officiating. Private burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mrs. Cave was born in Sioux City, Iowa. She moved to Deaf Smith County in 1953 from Plainview. She had been a teacher and community center manager. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She married Clyde Cave in 1942 at Happy. Survivors include her husband; and special friends, Norman and Sheri Kerr of Hereford. The family suggests memorials be to Hereford Senior Citizens Delivered Meals Program. McLEAN - C.W. "Pete" Miller, 57, formerly of McLean, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Chaplain John Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Lamb Funeral Home. Mr. Miller was born in Lehi, Utah. He was a longtime McLean resident before moving to Amarillo 14 years ago. He owned and operated Pete's Boot & Shoe Repair and also had worked at Toot'n Totum. He married Charlene Patton in 1978 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christie Swinney in 1999. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charlie Wayne Patton and Jim Patton, both of Amarillo; a sister, Molly McDowell of McLean; a brother, M. Pat Miller of Cudjoe Key, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, TX 75219. DALHART - Caylor Caddell, 77, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stephen Lowrie, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Caddell was born and raised in Texline. He was valedictorian of his graduating class at Texline High School. He attended Texas Tech University before entering the Navy during World War II. He served in the Pacific Theater. He married Earlene Damron in 1944 at Portland, Ore. They moved to Dalhart in 1945 and opened Dalhart Tire & Supply. They later owned and operated Dalhart Motor & Tire-Chrysler and Firestone dealerships. They later opened Furniture Fashions, the Apache Development and Apache Center. He also farmed in the Dalhart-Texline area. Mr. Caddell was a member and past president of the Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce. He served on the XIT Rodeo and Reunion board, was in the Ambassador Club, was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Dalhart Rotarians, served on the Dallam-Hartley Hospital District Board and was president of the Lubbock District Advisory Council for Small Business Administration. He was selected Outstanding Citizen of Dalhart in 1973. He was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin Caddell of Dalhart; a daughter, Caylene Caddell of Lubbock; and a sister, Helen Hitchcock of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. TULIA - Carrie Cowan, 83, formerly of Tulia, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, in Georgetown. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Rob Lindley, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home. Mrs. Cowan was born in Wylie and moved to the Elkins Community, east of Tulia. She graduated from Tulia High School and West Texas State Teachers College. After her marriage, she lived in Tulia, Abilene and Ruidoso, N.M. She married W.C. Cowan Jr. in 1937 at Dimmitt. He died in 1993. Survivors include two daughters, Carole Kincaid of Abilene and Janice Riley of Athens, Texas; three sisters, Juana Jones of Amarillo, Mary Frances Crow of Roswell, N.M., and Lynette Lasater of Odessa; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to West Texas Alzheimer's Association; or a favorite charity. BORGER - James Raymond Row, 93, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Highland Park Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Newton of First Assembly of God officiating. Arrangements are by Mintonƒ/ƒChatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Row was born in Marlow, Okla. He moved to Borger in 1942 from Chicago. He retired from Phillips Petroleum in instrumentation. He was a member of First Assembly of God. He married Pauline Page in 1934 at Newkirk, Okla. She died in 1994. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Parrish, in 1998. Survivors include a son, Jack R. Row of Amarillo; a brother, Jack Row of Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. OLTON - Lauren Caraway, 17, formerly of Olton, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in Hobbs, N.M. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Olton High School Auditorium with the Rev. Kyle Streun, pastor of First Baptist Church, and Chris Tucker, youth minister of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Olton Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Miss Caraway was born in Hobbs and was a longtime Olton resident. She had been a student at Olton High School, where she played basketball and was a cheerleader. She was a member of Main Street Church of Christ. She recently moved to Hobbs. Survivors include her parents, Buck and Brynea Day of Hobbs; two brothers, Talen Caraway and Heath Day, both of Hobbs; two sisters, Farren Caraway of Hobbs and Heather Day of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and her grandparents, R.V. and Gayle Allcorn of Olton. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. PLAINVIEW - Ella Faye Robertson, 80, formerly of Plainview, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Alvin Law, Darren Bryan and Steve White officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Robertson was born in Vernon and grew up in the Happy Union Community, south of Plainview. She graduated from Petersburg High School and attended Howard Payne College at Brownwood. She lived in Friona and Plainview before moving to Amarillo. She was a homemaker and had worked for Dr. Shackelford and Dr. Barron in Amarillo. She was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church in Amarillo. She had worked as a volunteer at Park Place Towers in Amarillo. She was a past member of Beta Sigma Phi. She married Clarence B. Robertson in 1980 at Amarillo. He died in 1986. Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Holcomb White and Peggy Williams, both of Amarillo, and Phyllis Bryan of Happy; three brothers, Elton Wilton of Plainview, James Wilson of Vadito, N.M., and Luke Wilson of Amarillo; four sisters, Helen Rogers of Texico, N.M., and Daisy Law, Jeanie Mayo and Louise Widener, all of Plainview; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home; or BSA Hospice in Amarillo. CLOVIS, N.M. - Julia A. Castillo, 82, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church by the Rev. Carlos Chavez. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Mrs. Castillo was born in San Antonio, Texas. She moved to Clovis in 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She married Margarito Castillo in 1967. He died in 1967. She also was preceded in death by a son, Frank Castillo. Survivors include a son, Arthur Castillo of Clovis; six daughters, Olga Montano, Amelia Castillo, Lupe Hernandez and Mary Castillo, all of Clovis, Lala Hernandez of Muleshoe, Texas, and Catherine Urbina of Hollister, Calif.; two brothers, George Alaquinez and Julian Alaquinez, both of San Antonio; 35 grandchildren; and 60 great-grandchildren. LUBBOCK - Russell Haberer, 75, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church at Earth with the Rev. Bobby Broyles of Earth officiating. Burial will be in Earth Memorial Cemetery by Parsons-Ellis Funeral Home of Earth. Mr. Haberer was born in Tulia. He was a veteran of the Navy. He moved to Lubbock in 1980 from Plainview. He owned Diamontrigue Jewelry Store. He married Arvella Davis in 1944 at Earth.
