Mrs. Jones was born in Lehigh, Indian Territory. She moved to Amarillo in 1944 from Caddo, Okla. She was a homemaker. She married William Jesse Jones Sr. at Sherman. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by two sons, William Jesse Jones Jr. and Buck Jones. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Reeves was born in Montague County, and attended school in Forestburg. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. He was a radar operator with the 737 Bomber Squadron, serving in Hawaii, the Philippines, Saipan, Okinawa and Iwo Jima. He worked in the retail liquor sales business in Amarillo, and had owned and operated Star Liquors and Discount Liquors. For 15 years, he also owned and operated Reeves Water Well Service in Amarillo. Mr. Reeves married Dora Lee White in 1974 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Gil Reeves of Amarillo; a brother, Oval Reeves of Amarillo; two sisters, Evelyn Barclay of Borger and Irene Phelan of Stinnett; two grandsons. A member of San Jacinto Baptist Church, he retired from the Helium plant as an operator. During World War II, he served with the Army. His wife, Gloria Faye Cantrell, died in 1999. Mr. Ramos was born in El Paso and was a longtime resident of Amarillo. A carpenter and cabinet maker, he retired from Amarillo Independent School District as a custodian at Tascosa High School. During World War II, he served with the Army in the Army Corps of Engineers. A professional musician, he traveled with Gene Autry's band and show. He performed at the original Mexican Inn in Amarillo. He also played for the Cal Farley group, Sons of the West. He was a member of the American G.I. Forum, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include three sons, Jose Ramos Jr., of Amarillo, and Jessie Ramos and Daniel Santos, both of Hot Springs, Ark.; a daughter, Carolina Duran of Waco; two brothers, Pedro Campos Jr., of Aurora, Colo., and Benny Campos of Amarillo; a sister, Rosemary Barragan of Amarillo; and six grandchildren.
