Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home Armstrong Chapel. Mr. Salmon was a longtime resident of Port, Okla., Sentinel, Okla., and Amarillo before moving to Claude in 1995. He trained bird dogs. He worked as a farmer and for Amarillo Independent School District and Sid Stout Ford before retiring in 1970. He was a Baptist. He married Opal in 1932. Survivors include his wife; a son, Don Salmon of Claude; two brothers, Royal Hart of Wichita, Kan., and Robert Salmon of Lubbock; four sisters, Nadine Caudill, Dosia Tompkins and Evie Ruth Curtis, all of Sentinel, and Edna Tramel of Las Vega; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Flick was a native of Hammon and a resident of Phillips, Borger and Fritch. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European theater. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. He retired as an operator from Phillips Petroleum Co. He married Velma Bryan in 1940 at El Reno, Okla. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Nelline Scott, in 1997. He was president and general manager of Lee-Tex Valve Company. He also was an accountant for Panhandle Packing Company. He was a member and past president of the Pampa Noon Lions Club, where he produced and directed the Lions Club Minstrel Show. He was also a member of the Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge No. 1381 AF&AM, the Lubbock Scottish Rite Consistory and the Khiva Temple of Amarillo. Mr. Presnell was a member and elder emeritus of First Christian Church. He married Virginia Huggins in 1932 at Enid. She died in 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Yeargain of Lubbock and Cindy Gindorf of Pampa; a son, Jon Presnell of Azle; eight grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Arrangements are by CarmichaelWhatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Waggoner was born in Mobeetie and moved to Pampa in the early 1940s from Borger. From 1946 until his retirement in 1975, he was a bookkeeper for Pampa Lumber Company. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Pampa and the Miami Masonic Lodge. He moved to Bastrop in 1989. He married Mary Dell Rasor in 1934 at Pampa. She died in 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Neef of Bastrop and Kay Waggoner of Denver; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Mr. Collier was born in Wellington and moved to Friona in 1929. He served with the Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion and First Baptist Church of Friona. He was a scout master in Friona. He married Mary Lou Harrelson in 1973 at Clovis, N.M. She died in 1999. Burial will be in Texhoma Cemetery with arrangement by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home of Texhoma. Mr. Nichols attended Texhoma schools and graduated from PAMC in 1939. He did graduate work at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. In 1940, he worked at Liberty National Bank in Oklahoma City. He enlisted in the 8th Army Air Corp. He was stationed in England and assigned as a staff sergeant with B-17, 91st Bomber Group, 324th squadron. He was discharged in 1945. He was employed as college registrar and business manager. He also worked at the Lumber Mart in Guymon. He was a member of the Blue Lodge; York Rite; Royal Arch; Consistory - Guthrie 32nd degree; Commandry; India Temple Shrine - Oklahoma City; Order of Eastern Star - past patron; Lion's Club; and Panhandle Centenary United Methodist Church. He served on the Goodwell school board and was past president of the Texas and Cimarron County Retired Educators Association. He was treasurer of the OPSU Methodist Student Center. He was the Goodwell city treasurer. He married Elizabeth Cameron in 1946 at Texhoma. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Kuykendall of Beaver and Susanne McMinn of Solon, Iowa; a son, John Lee Nichols of Amarillo; a sister, Betty Slaughter of Grand Prairie, Texas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In 1928, she moved with her family to Lefors, Texas, where she graduated from Lefors High School in 1935. Before moving to Woodward in 1962, she lived in Seminole and Corpus Christi, Texas. She worked for J.C. Penney's and then for Hopkins Shoe Store. She was a member of First Baptist Church. In the 1960s, taught Junior High Girls Sunday school class. She was a member of the Woodward Coterie Club. She married Robert "Bob" Brown in 1935 at Sayre. He died in 1990. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Beth Quisenberry. Maynard in 1924. He died in 1965. She married Elmer Slaughter in 1982 at Amarillo. He died in 1988. She also was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter. Mrs. Gilles was born in Wellington and grew up in Dumas, where she graduated from Dumas High School. In Dumas, she was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Mission. She moved to Amarillo in 1965 and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and was active with the Episcopal Church Women on the parish level and with the Diocese of Northwest Texas. After retirement, she moved to Lago Vista, where she was active in the establishment of St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Lago Vista. Survivors include her husband, W.C. She was the director of the Liquid Paper Corporation Child Care Center in Dallas and helped design and build the facility in 1972. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Lytton Harkins, in 1964. Survivors include two sons, Lee L. She married John Gallegos in 1956. Mr. Koesjan was born in Los Angeles, Calif. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1938. In 1962, he retired from the Air Force. He later retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He married Chieko Horita in 1950 at Fukuoka, Ken, Japan. She was a cosmetologist and owned her own business in Lubbock. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Evelyn Marks, 89, of Amarillo, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000. Memorial services will be at a later date in Springfield, Mo. Cremation was by Colonial Funeral Chapel, 1010 W. Ninth Ave. Mrs. Marks was born in Marshfield, Mo., and was a longtime resident of Missouri. In 1932, she received a degree in home economics from Southwest Missouri Normal School in Springfield. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. In 1995, she moved to Amarillo. She married Earl Marks in 1935 at Marshfield, Mo. He died in 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Hess of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Nancy McCullough of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Ross was born in Marion, Kan., and moved to Amarillo in 1985 from Eldorado, Kan. He was an inspector for Petroleum Pipelines. He was a former member of B.P.O.E in Eldorado. He married Thelma Elisabeth Truman in 1930 at Newton, Kan. He was preceded in death by a greatgrandchild. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Darlene Reep of Amarillo and Karyl Mobley of Wylie; a brother, Raymond Ross of Eldorado, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Southeast Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Powell, pastor of Prairie View Chapel, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Lomax was born in Iberia, Mo., and had lived in Amarillo for more than 63 years. She was the owner and operator of a number of restaurants, including the Silver Dollar Cafe and the El Rancho Restaurant. She was a Baptist. For the past few years she lived at the Elizabeth Jane Bivins Home, where she was Miss EJB in 1992 and voted Miss Congeniality several times in the annual Miss EJB Pageant. She won ribbons and awards at the Tri-State Fair. She married Paris A. Masterson in 1930. He died in 1956. She married Terry Lomax in 1960. He died in 1977. Survivors include a son, Jerry Masterson of Maple Valley, Wash.; a sister, Edna Hodges of Dallas; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
