Services will be at 1 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Dale Moreland, associate pastor of San Jacinto Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Cantrell was born in Ada, Okla. Before moving to Arizona in February, he was a longtime resident of Amarillo. A member of San Jacinto Baptist Church, he retired from the Helium plant as an operator. During World War II, he served with the Marines. His wife, Gloria Faye Cantrell, died in 1999. Survivors include two sons, Bill Cantrell of Lumberton, Miss., and Lee Cantrell of Gilbert; two stepdaughters, Bartella Goza of Amarillo and Pam Fox of Fresno, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News Aug. 7, 2000 Harry Lehmkuhl Harry Lehmkuhl, 70, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Cattau officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Lehmkuhl was born in Griswold, Iowa. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and retired as an accountant for the city of Amarillo. During the Korean War, he served with the Air Force. He married Dorothy Schulz in 1976. She died in 1998. Survivors include a son, Larry Schulz of Amarillo; a daughter, Sharon Tidwell of Amarillo; a brother, Grover Lehmkuhl of Villisca, Iowa; two sisters, Iola Muller of Griswold and Lenora Wohlenhaus of Atlantic, Iowa; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News Aug. 7, 2000 Russell Howard Greer Russell Howard Greer, 76, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray. Memorial services will follow at 2 p.m. in First United Methodist Church in Dumas with the Rev. Don Willingham, associate minister of Westview Christian Church in Amarillo, and the Rev. John Wagner, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle and Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 500 N. Maddox, in Dumas. Mr. Greer was born in Portales, N.M., and grew up in Drumright, Okla. After receiving a bachelor's degree from East Central State University at Ada, Okla., and a master's degree from West Texas State University at Canyon, he taught school and was a principal and superintendent for the Sunray Independent School District. He retired in 1981. During World War II, he served with the Army Air Corps. In 1987, he moved to Dumas, where he was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, and the Texas Retired Teacher's Association. He formerly served as director on the Dumas Hospital Board. In 1993, he moved to Amarillo. He married Mable Knox Jaynes in 1946 at Sedan, Kan. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Max Greer of Fort Worth and Mark Greer of Amarillo; a daughter, Myra Tanner of Dumas; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Scholarship Fund at First United Methodist Church, 401 Binkley, Dumas, TX 79029. He retired as an electrician in Civil Service. His wife, Ann B. McAnarney, died in 1963. His daughter, Patricia Ann McAnarney, died in 1942. Survivors include three sons, Jimmie Lee McAnarney and Raymond C. McAnarney, both of Amarillo, and Arthur M. McAnarney III of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. Georgia St. Mrs. Wilson was born in Beckley, W.V., and graduated from Deep Creek High School in Chesapeake, Va., in 1949. After graduating from Spartanburg Junior College in Spartanburg, S.C., in 1951, she worked as an administrator in the technology industry for SAIC, retiring in February. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She married Vyron "Chuck" Wilson in February in Herndon, Va. Georgia St. Mrs. Harris was born in Corbin, Ky., and was a claims adjuster in the insurance industry. She was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She married William O. Mr. Sillivent was born in Jacksboro, Texas. After serving with the Army during World War II, he worked in construction as a loader operator for J. Lee Milligan Inc., of Amarillo, Texas, until his retirement. Mr. Edger was born in Blakesburg, Iowa, and was a truck driver. He moved to Amarillo in 1982 and to Dodge City in 1990. In Dodge City, he was a manager at KAR Ltd. His first wife, Velma Russell, died in 1976. His son, Bobby Russell, died in 1996. Mrs. Atkins was born in San Antonio and worked for Colberts-Harry Holland and as Deputy District Clerk for Potter County before retiring in 1994. Mrs. Ortiz was preceded in death by her husband, Max Ortiz, in 1986. Her daughter, Elizabeth Hashem, died in 1969. Don Robertson of College Heights Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park. Mrs. Pigg was born in Vernon. In 1945, she moved to Lockney, where she worked as a nurse at Lockney Hospital from 1956 until 1984. She moved to Plainview in 1985 and to Lubbock in 1995. In 1997, she returned to Plainview. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. She married Eugene Pigg in 1931 at Frederick, Okla. He died in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, June Visage of Azle; a son, Don Pigg of Lubbock; a brother, Buster Crisp of Las Cruces, N.M.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Brown was born in Elk City, Okla., and had lived in Dumas since 1948. He was a field operator for Panhandle Eastern and a member of First Baptist Church. He married Billie Gasawayin 1951 at Zofness Booster. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tommy Brown of Clovis, N.M., and Kim Brown of Dumas; a daughter, Lynda Heckler of Hugoton, Kan.; a brother, Charlie Brown of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Margaret Farrar of Elk City, Okla., and Mary Cannon of Oklahoma City; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Panhandle Church of Christ with Mr. Leonard Harper and Mr. Kevin O'Malley officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Cummings was born in Denton County and was a farmer and stockman. Before moving to Panhandle, he lived in the King Community. A member of the Panhandle Church of Christ and the Carson County Farm Bureau, he was named Senior Farmer of the Year in 1982. He married Lillian Dean Kirk in 1928 at Monahans. She died in 1999. Survivors include a son, Jerry Cummings of Duncanville; two daughters, Joyce Frashier of Panhandle, and Sharon Young of Abilene; two brothers, Walter Cummings of Levelland and Cecil Cummings of Panhandle; two sisters, Loreta Beiderwell of Seal Beach, Calif., and Beula Ivie of Canadian; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson was born in Valiant, Okla., and had lived in Dumas since 1941. During World War II, she worked in the transportation department of the Cactus Ordinance Plant. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, she retired as the kitchen supervisor at Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Anderson, and a son, Gary Anderson. Survivors include four daughters, Wanda Fouasnon of Bay St. Louis, Miss., Vivian Hatter of Dumas, Evelyn Reed of Folsom, La., and Donna Hess of Wilmington, N.C.; three stepdaughters, Gwen White and Nell Mitchell, both of Brownwood, and Jo Dunn of Deer Park; a stepson, John Anderson of Dumas; a brother, Edward Snow of Altus, Okla.; a sister, Alice Couch of Willow, Okla.; 42 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; and two greatgreat-great-grandchildren. Mr. Calloway was born in Pampa, where he graduated from Pampa High School and was the service manager for Culberson-Stowers Chevrolet service department. He lived in Farmington, N.M., before moving to Espanola, where he worked as a service manager for Henry Valencia Inc. He married Vicky Dunlap in 1972 at Pampa. Smith, 84, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2000. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in East Mound Cemetery with the Rev. Rickey Lawrence, pastor of Roaring Springs Full Gospel Church, and Arnold Parker, officiating. Masonic graveside rites will be by the Matador Masonic Lodge. Arrangements are by Seigler Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was born in Rising Star and was a former resident of Rochester. In 1964, he moved to Matador, where he operated a restaurant and motel. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, where he served as Past Master, and the Scottish Rite Bodies. A member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, he served as a Matador City Councilman. During World War II, he served with the Army. He married Billie Dean Gardner in 1947. His son, James Smith, died in 1998. Survivors include his wife; a son, Pat Smith of Matador; a daughter, Seven Alexander of Matador; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
