Tom Boyles of Victory Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Newton was born in Stringtown, Okla. She moved to the Panhandle area in 1929 from Breckenridge. She lived in various towns before moving to Amarillo from Panhandle in 1987. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Panhandle, Panhandle Pen Women of Amarillo and First Baptist Church in Panhandle. She married Tommy Newton in 1957 at Panhandle. He died in 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Ramona Higgins of Amarillo and Gayle Smallwood of Paris; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nine greatgreat-grandchildren; and a special friend, Angris Freeman of Amarillo. Mr. Kile was born in Amarillo and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Amarillo High School and Amarillo College. Prior to World War II he attended West Texas A&M University. During the war he served in the Army Air Corps as a pilot. Mr. Kile was a pilot for Southwestern Investment Corp. He worked in sales for Ted Lokey Tire Co. He married his wife, Bettye, in 1947 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; a son, Stanley Kile of Amarillo; a daughter, Martha Loudder of College Station; a sister, Marguerite White of Houston; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. McGinnis was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Tucumcari. He graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1965. He served with the Air Force in Vietnam and attained the rank of sergeant. He served many years as an officer for the Tucumcari Police Department and recently had become a Quay County Sheriff's deputy. Mr. Matthews was born in Houston and grew up in Clute, Texas. In 1978 he moved to Texola where he was a self-employed entrepreneur. He married Linda Wilkinson in 1944 at Lake Tahoe, Nev. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Elaine Matthews, and a son, Douglas James Matthews. Survivors include his wife; a son, Joel Matthews of Canfield, Ohio; a daughter, Casey Eberle of Durango, Colo.; and three grandchildren. The casket will be closed. During World War II she lived in San Antonio and worked at Kelly Field. She returned to Plainview after the war. She had been a member of First Christian Church since 1934. She married Norman Dulaney in 1937 at Plainview. She married Willie Walter Heil in 1938 at Miami. He died in 1987. She also was a member of First United Methodist Church where she taught the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class, sang in the church choir and was active with the youth group. She married Howard Gore in 1946 at Dumas. Ted Taylor officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery. Mr. Hubbard was born in Jarrett, Ark., and served as a sergeant in the infantry with the Army during World War II. He was in the European, African and Middle East Theater, earning the Purple Heart. Mr. Hubbard moved to Hereford more than 50 years ago where he was a farmer, machinist and worker for Dick Barrett Produce for more than 15 years. He was a member of the Hereford Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Katherine Jones in 1940. She preceded him in death. Survivors include four sons, Paul and Bill Hubbard, both of Hereford, Larry Hubbard of Shamrock and Johnny Hubbard of Fort Worth; two daughters, Linda Perry of Hereford and Kathy Payne of Kansas; a sister, Lillian Mulkey of John Day, Ore.; 27 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. For many years he farmed north of Waka and drove the Waka school bus. He piloted a Stinson airplane. He married Caro Lee in 1939 at Beaver, Okla. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will be in Gruver Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman. Mr. Martin was born in Charlton, N.Y., and moved to Spearman 13 years ago. He was a carpenter. He was a member of United Methodist Church and Knights of Pythias. He married Gertrude Dimmock in 1936 at Burnt Hills, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1990 and by a son, James. L. Martin Jr., in 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Florence Kruse of Gruver; three sons, William Martin of Gruver, Richard Martin of Charlton and Thomas Martin of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
