Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Ephesians Church of God in Christ with the Elder Willie Jackson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St., in Amarillo. Mrs. Slaughter was born in Georgetown, Williamson County. She attended schools in Georgetown and later moved to Lubbock. She moved to Hall County in 1948. She was a longtime member of Ephesians Church of God in Christ, where she had also served as mother of the church. She married Charlie Slaughter in 1946 at Lubbock. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a son. Survivors include two daughters, Doris Thomas and Etheline Mason, both of Memphis; two sons, Charlie Slaughter Jr. of Amarillo and Billy Wayne Slaughter of Denver; two sisters, Cleo Sneed and Betty Jo Anderson, both of Snyder; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Burial was in Dumas Cemetery. Mrs. McClary was born in Lubbock and had lived in that area until moving to Dumas in 1979. She had been a hairdresser and had owned and operated several beauty shops in Dumas. She was a member of the Dumas Eagles Lodge No. 3956. She married John McClary in 1996 at Dumas. Survivors include her husband; a son, Rusty Dwayne Perry of Fayetteville, Ark.; a brother, Kenneth L. Coffey of Dumas; and five grandchildren. Mr. Morrison was born in Yantis and had lived in Fritch for 53 years. He served with the Army during World War II and retired from Phillips Petroleum Co., as a leadoff man. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. He married Alice Clara Cannon in 1942 at Crocker, Mo. His son, John Morrison, died in 1994. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jimmy Morrison, Ronnie Morrison, and Walter Morrison, all of Fritch; two brothers, Millard Morrison of Clarksville and Marvin Morrison of Midwest City, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She married John L. Burnett in 1926 at Plaska. He died in 1983. Her daughter, Marthlyn Taylor, died in 1988. Survivors include two sons, J.L. Burnett Jr., of Clovis, N.M., and Jerry B. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Christian Church with Dr. Tilden Armstrong, retired, officiating, and the Rev. Roy Keith, pastor, assisting. Burial will follow in Paducah Garden of Memories Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home. Dr. Harrison was born in Indian Territory, Okla. He graduated from Quanah High School in 1923 and from Baylor University College of Dentistry in 1927. He first opened a dental practice in Vernon and in 1929, moved to Paducah, where he worked until his retirement in 1966. From 1935 until 1948, he served on the Paducah School Board. After retiring, he lived in Tres Ritos, N.M., and Abilene before returning to Paducah in 1982. He moved to Yakima in 1987. He married Eunice S. Doster in 1928 at Dallas. She died in 1996. His son, Dr. James E. Harrison, died in 1980. Survivors include a son, Dr. William M. Harrison of Yakima; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Kirchhoff was born in Edwardsport, Ind., and moved with his family to Plainview, where he graduated from Plainview High School. He attended Texas A&M University. After serving with the Army Air Corps during World War II, he returned to Texas to farm. He was a Boy Scout leader for Troop No. 58 and a member of the Plainview Chapter of the Barber Shop Quartet Singers of America. He served on the Plainview Humane Society Board of Trustees. He married Marilyn L. "Lyn" Emerson in 1980. They operated the Open Hand Thrift Store and owned Kirchhoff Kostume Kloset. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Albert E. Kirchhoff of Wichita Falls and Ronald R. Kirchhoff of Plainview; two stepsons, Scott E. Meyer of Fallon, Nev., and Steven Meyer of High Rolls, N.M.; a stepdaughter, Mindy Rupp of Dallas; a brother, George Kirchhoff of Pampa; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and former wife, Shirley Gravelle Kirchhoff. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church and First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lilly, in 1981. Mrs. Roth was born in Lusk, Wyo., and moved to Amarillo in 1925 from Waynoka, Okla. She retired from administration at Sears Roebuck Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Bonita Chapter No. 184. During World War II, she was a chaperon for the USO and received service awards from the Red Cross and the governor of Texas for her work as a volunteer nurse's aide. She later worked for the Red Cross in disaster relief and was a hospital volunteer. She married Ray Roth in 1925 at Woodward, Okla. He died in 1980. Her daughter, Donna Bates Trower, died in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Norma Roth Giboney of Dallas; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He married Imogene Maynor in 1936 at Allen. He married Venita Criswell Stovall in 1975 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by both wives and a granddaughter, Kelly Jones. Mrs. Hawkins was born in Pleasant Hill, and was a lifetime resident of Clovis and Roosevelt County. She also served as a legislative liaison for American Association of Retired Persons. She was a homemaker and had farmed in Melrose with her first husband Virgil Hawkins. She married Virgil Hawkins in 1937 at Mangum, Okla. He died in 1985. She married Floyd Inglis in 1987 at Clovis. He died in 1991. Survivors include two sisters, Nettie Mae Harding of Dalhart and Esta Marie Phipps of Oklahoma City. Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Garden City, Kan., by the Rev. James A. Baker, the Rev. John Vrana and the Rev. Scott Adams. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors. Mrs. Steinbach was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She moved to the United States in 1915 and became a U.S. citizen in 1965. She lived in the Garden City area before moving to Guymon in 1968. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. She married John M. Steinbach in 1946 at Garden City. He died in 1984. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Steinbach of Guymon and Betty Jean Lehr of Olive Branch, Miss.; a sister, Rose Schiffelbein of Garden City; and one granddaughter. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe May 7, 2000 Alvin Francis Neese FORGAN, Okla. - Alvin Francis Neese, 81, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, in Beaver. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Forgan Cemetery with Terry Fox officiating. Arrangements are by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver. Mr. Neese was born northeast of Forgan, Okla. He served in Europe with the Army during World War II. He had owned and operated a service station in Forgan. After selling the station he worked as a school bus driver and monitored well production for Charles Bond. He and his wife had also owned and operated a Triple A Store. After their retirement they ran a lawn service. He married Frances Arlene "Deanie" Barkley in 1939. She died in 1986. Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Fayrene "Faye" Kramer of Port Orchard, Wash., and A. Ann Walker of Kingsland, Ga.; two grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.
