Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sharon O'Quinn, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Olton Cemetery by Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Home. Mrs. Crabtree was born in Montague County. She moved to Olton in 1942 from Cottle County. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She married Vernon Carlisle in 1923 in Cottle County. He died in 1971. She married the Rev. Elmer Crabtree in 1976. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Carlisle, in 1953. Survivors include three sons, Vernon Carlisle Jr. of Hereford, Clifford Carlisle of Phoenix and Coy Carlisle of Eagletown, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Garcia was born in Tulia. She was a member of Betania Assembly of God in Canyon. She married Poncho Garcia in 1986 at Happy. She was preceded in death by a son, Poncho Garcia Jr., in 1987. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Valerie Lynn Garcia and Leah Micole Garcia, both of Tulia; a stepson, Gonzalo Duran of Odessa; and her mother and stepfather, Julia and Enrique Lopez of Happy. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Lutheran Church at Borger with the Rev. Robert Kuhlmann, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery at Borger by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Rosenberry was born in Winfield, Kan., and lived in Stinnett 73 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Home Demonstration Club, Trinity Lutheran Church and the Mary-Martha League. She was a Hutchinson County Woman of the Year. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Rosenberry, in 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Alice Harrington and Helen Farbro, both of Borger; a brother, Charlie Garretson of Clearwater, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and nine great-greatgrandchildren. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Jimmye Cole, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Home. Mr. Peters was born in Denver. He graduated from Pamonah High School at Arvada, Colo., in 1979. He worked at Christian radio stations before moving in 1997 to Dalhart, where he worked for KXIT radio station. He also worked as a disc jockey for weddings and public events. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include three sons, Zachary Peters, Jordan Peters and Aaron "A.J." The family will be at 1402 W. 12th Ave. Amarillo Daily News, Aug. 9, 2000 Bobby Gold Bobby Dean Gold, 62, formerly of Amarillo, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, in Wichita, Kan. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Brumley-McCurtain Funeral Home at Broken Bow, Okla. Burial will be in Broken Bow Cemetery. Mr. Gold was born in Battiest, Okla. He was a retired professional musician and songwriter. He wrote "Big Blue Diamond," a hit song recorded by Neal Diamond and Mel Street. He also had performed as an opening act for a number of country and western stars. In Amarillo, he worked as a security officer at Bell Helicopter, IBP and First National Bank. He was living in Wichita at the time of his death. Survivors include a son, Cimarron Wesley of Amarillo; a daughter, Shannon Gilbert of Wichita; three brothers, Buddy Miller of Amarillo, Glen Gold of Tucson, Ariz., and John Carpenter of Wichita; three sisters, Gwen Willis of Canyon, Charlotte Neveling of Kaufman and Vada Carpenter of Wichita; and a granddaughter. Georgia St. Mr. Garrett was born in Amarillo. He retired from Texas Industrial Service after 25 years. He was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. He married Cleo Eileen Pearson in 1954 at Geary, Okla. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kevin Garrett of Fort Worth and Mark Garrett of Honolulu; a sister, Pat McCarty of Watonga, Okla.; and seven grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Aug. 9, 2000 Canyon William Bacon Jr. William Bartlett "Bill" Bacon Jr., 76, of Canyon, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. George's Episcopal Church with Dr. John Githiga, vicar, officiating. Mr. Bacon's ashes will be scattered in the Irish Sea. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home. Mr. Bacon was born in Brookline, Mass. During World War II he served in the Marine Corps with the 4th Marine Division in Roi-Namur, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. In 1949 he was a second lieutenant in the Army. He resigned and began pilot training with the Air Force, serving as a first lieutenant from 1950 to 1955. He moved to Canyon in 1970. He worked as a quality analyst at Pantex. He was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church. He married Patricia Robinson Miller in 1971 at Santa Fe, N.M. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Walter Munro Miller. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Philip Michael Bacon of Carthage, Mo., and W.B. "Bart" Bacon III of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters, Colleen Lisbeth Peace of Amarillo and Maria Claresa Harkey of Tucson, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Mary Jones of Houston and Anne Boston of Morrisville, N.C.; a stepson, Lowell Land of Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Howard Bacon of Marstons Mills, Mass.; a sister, Cynthia Bouchard of New Canaan, Conn.; a stepsister, Joan Bouchard of Barnegat Light, N.J.; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Steed-Todd Funeral Home Chapel at Clovis with the Rev. Dan Pearce officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories at Clovis. Mrs. Sanford was born in Texico. She lived in Logan from 1980 to 1998, when she returned to Texico. She retired from Mountain Bell after 28 years as a telephone operator. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Logan. She married J.C. Sanford in 1945 at Clovis. He died in 1995. She also was preceded in death by an infant son, Eric Sanford.
