Mrs. Ray was born in Waco. She moved to Plainview in 1952 from Groesbeck. She was a member of United Baptist Church. She married Garland Ray Sr. in 1929 at Marlin. He died in 1985. Survivors include three daughters, Narvella Sansom and Ruby Ray, both of Plainview, and Dorothy Robinson of Kress; three sons, Sherman Ray and Garland Ray Jr., both of Amarillo, and Bobby Ray of Plainview; a niece whom she raised, Cora Lockhart of Groesbeck; 43 grandchildren; 97 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services were at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery with Tom Russell, minister of Central Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements were by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Armour was born in Bethel Springs, Tenn. He moved to Pampa in 1919 from Tennessee. He lived west of Kingsmill and farmed most of his life. He moved to Shamrock in 1996. He was a member of Central Church of Christ in Pampa. Survivors include two nephews, Paul Kirby of White Deer and Dan Kirby of College Station; and three nieces, Jane Radcliff of Pampa, Linda McClure of Claremore, Okla., and Sue Smith of Fritch. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Jack Lee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Arnold was born in Shamrock. He graduated from Shamrock High School in 1967 and attended Texas A&M University on a full Army scholarship. He served as captain in the Army for six years. He had lived in Marietta, Ohio, and worked for Degussa Corp. as a chemical engineer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Bagley was born in Chanute, Kan. She moved to Pampa in 1972 from White Deer. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was past secretary / treasurer for the Anna Sunday school class. She married George R. Bagley Sr. in 1930 at Chanute. He died in 1999. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Kirkwood of Pampa and Ruth Ann Bailey of Muncie, Ind.; a son, George R. Amarillo Sunday News-Globe July 9, 2000 Bill Noble TULIA - Bill Noble, 62, died Thursday, July 6, 2000. Services were at 4 p.m. Saturday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Turner officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Noble was born in Tyler. He moved to Quitaque at an early age and attended high school there. In 1959, he moved to Tulia and worked as a warehouse foreman at Taylor-Evan Seed Co. He worked as water superintendent for the City of Tulia before he retired. He married Pat Yates in 1958 at Plainview. He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Dale Noble, in 1999. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mike Noble of Plano; two brothers, the Rev. Tom Noble of Sulphur Springs and the Rev. Jim Noble of Stillwater, Okla.; and two sisters, Pat White and Wanda White, both of Dumas. Mr. Andrade was born in Villa Ahumada, Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved from Wildorado to Sudan in 1997. He worked as a farm laborer in the Bula community and was a Catholic. He married Estella Montes in 1982 at Muleshoe. Survivors include his wife; a son, Joel; a daughter, Ruby; two sisters, Lucia Carlos of Roswell, N.M., and Manuela Menchaca of Por Vehir, Mexico; and a brother Librado Andrade of Friona. Mark Cattau, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Thompson was born in San Angelo. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Army National Guard. He received a bachelor's degree in industrial arts in 1953 and a master's degree in 1955 from North Texas State University at Denton. In 1953, he moved to Pampa and taught industrial arts at Pampa High School until 1978. He also taught at Borger and White Deer. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He married Iona Weese in 1944 at Chapel. She died in 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Powell and Anita Thompson, both of Grand Prairie; a son, Don Thompson of Pampa; a sister, Faye Carpenter of Benbrook; a brother, Bill Thompson of Donie; five grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of First United Methodist Church at Plainview. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Boyd was born in El Paso. Before graduating from high school in Shreveport, La., she lived in Texas and California. After attending Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, she moved to Amherst, where she taught in public schools. She lived in Plainview from 1937 until moving to Ardmore, Okla., in 1997. In Plainview, she was a member of First Methodist Church and president of the Plainview Women's Club. She married Wayne Boyd in 1933. He died in 1982. Survivors include two sons, Gene Boyd of Ardmore, Okla., and Richard Boyd of Haddam, Conn.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Willard was born in Burkburnett and moved to Amarillo in 1928. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Fellowship, where she had worked in the nursery. She married C.V. Willard in 1941 at Amarillo. He died in 1984. Survivors include three daughters, Carroll Casias of Amarillo, Lynda Bean of Windthorst and Gloria Carlson of Renton, Wash.; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. Osage St. Ms. Tingley was born in Huntington, W.Va. She served in the Navy during World War II. She moved to Amarillo in 1968 from Pennsylvania. A nursing educator, she established the nursing program at Amarillo College and served as dean from 1968 to 1976. She retired from the University of North Carolina. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Survivors include a son, John Wolfe of Amarillo; a sister, Ann Piggott of Amarillo; and three grandchildren. He worked for Asarco and was a member of the 25-Year Club. Later, he worked for the Amarillo Globe-News for 11 years, where he received several awards for safety. He attended college. He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. He married Lorena Storey in 1950 at Clovis. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ama Patricia Cartwright of Lubbock and Sharon Lorena Waldon of Amarillo; two sons, John Charles Hicks of Waxahachie and Wesley Dean Hicks of Amarillo; a sister, Elizabeth Mozelle Garren; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In 1979, he retired as a power plant operator from Uniroyal Chemical in Joliet, Ill., and moved to Amarillo. An Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he received a Bronze Star and a Silver Star. He married Mabel Gwendolyn Martin in 1952 at Joliet, Ill. His infant son, Walter Steve Scivally, died in 1953. Survivors include his wife; and two sisters, Virginia Sibley of Canyon and Geneva Barnes of Macon, Ga. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Grose was born in Midway, Ark., and had lived in Tucumcari since 1973. After working for Trigg Memorial Hospital, she worked for Tucumcari Historical Research Institute Museum, where she was museum supervisor. She was a member of First Nazarene Church in Tucumcari. Her husband, Richard Paul Grose, died in 1978. Survivors include two sons, Richard Grose Jr., and Michael Grose, both of Tucumcari; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in the family plot of the Logan Cemetery at Logan. Mr. Spinks was born in Mullin and had been a longtime resident of Logan. He retired as a track superintendent from Santa Fe Railway and was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. His wife, Ora Spinks, died in 1988. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Altie Spinks; and two sons, Darrel Spinks and Dan Spinks.
