Burial will be in White Deer Cemetery. Mr. Stover was born in Borger and had lived in Pampa about 40 years. He retired from the city of Pampa in 1999. He was a Baptist. Survivors include a son, Chris Stover of Amarillo; his father, R.E. Stover of Pampa; a brother, Jack Stover of White Deer; two sisters, Joyce Winn of Moriarty, N.M., and JoAnn McClellan of Cheyenne, Okla.; and one grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Price-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mary Dean Whitfield, minister of the Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Goodlett Cemetery. Mr. Whatley was born in Anson, Jones County. He attended school in Friendship and Goodlett. He was a county employee and ranched. He was a Baptist. He married Grace Zelma Downs in 1924 in the Friendship Community. She died in 1985. He also was preceded in death by a son, Tom G. Whatley; and by a daughter, Jackie Smith. Survivors include four sons, Del Whatley of San Angelo, Lester Ray Whatley of Tecumseh, Kan., Jim Whatley of Fritch and Tony Whatley of Fullerton, Calif.; five daughters, Billie Nell Hines of Quanah, Bobbye Martin of Midland, LaRuth Patterson and Judy Rosser, both of Amarillo, and Kay Simpsom of Flower Mound; 27 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fritch Church of Christ with Richard Kasko, minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Beatitudes at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Boyd was born in Gorman and had lived in Fritch since 1976. He was a member of the Fritch Church of Christ and a retired Church of Christ minister. He also had worked for the Sanford / Fritch School District as a maintenance supervisor. Mr. Boyd married Charlsey Forbess in 1934. She died in 1977. He married Melissa Ethel Hampton in 1979. She died 1999. Survivors include a son, Darnell Boyd of Lometa; a stepson, David Hampton of Fritch; a daughter, Genell Maxwell of Borger; three stepdaughters, Lynette Hampton and Tonya Christian, both of Amarillo and Monte Dybedal of California; two brothers, Theo Boyd of Rising Star and Ottus Boyd of Ira; a sister, Norma Lee Wallum of Odessa; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Rickey Lawrence, pastor of Roaring Springs Full Gospel Church, officiating. Burial will be in Roaring Springs Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home of Matador. Mrs. Smith was born in Motley County. She married James A. Smith in 1937 at Dickens. They lived in the Roaring Springs Community. He died in 1983. She had lived in Matador for the past 30 years. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Matador. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Allen L. Smith and James Ray Smith. Survivors include a son, George Smith of Hollister, Calif.; a daughter, Sandra Richie of Garland; a brother, Raymond Davis of Carlsbad, N.M.; three sisters, Dorothy Lee of Roaring Springs, Billie Gideon of San Angelo and Thelma Hughes of Oklaunion; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He had lived in Muleshoe since 1929, moving from Ralls. He worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Muleshoe Church of Christ. Mr. Lambert married Ione Stephens in 1955 at Melrose, N.M. She died in 1989. Survivors include two sisters, Marie Lane and Freda Foss, both of Muleshoe; and three brothers, Woodie Lambert, Bill Lambert and Nolan "Doc" Lambert, all of Muleshoe. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. Arias was born in Gomez Sarias, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Jesus Arias in 1965 in Mexico and they moved to Friona in 1974. In 1988, they moved to Bovina. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina. Mrs. Arias was preceded in death by a son, Jesus Alfonso Arias Jr., in 1988. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Leonor Arias of Bovina and Martha L. Fuentes of Texico, N.M.; two sons, Christopher Arias of Canyon and Joe J. Mr. Height grew up in the Dimmitt and Hart areas and moved to Tulia in 1964. In 1993, he moved to Plainview where he worked for Excel. He was a member of the Church of God. Mr. Height married Winnie Ruth Mansell in 1965. She died in 1992. He married Helen Hastey in 1993 at Plainview. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Nancy Hurt of Tulia, Gail Hughes of Chandler, Okla., and Jana Elledge of Plainview; four sons, Louigi Dion Height of Alabama, Robert Darrell Mason of Houston, Mikel Don Mason of Florida and Lyndell Hastey of Plainview; a brother, Lonnie Jack Height of Arizona; a sister, Bertha Fern Park of Las Vegas, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 15th Avenue and Martin Road. Mr. Coffey was born in Echo. During World War II, he served in the Marine Corps at Midway Island. He moved to Amarillo in 1949. He retired from Asarco and also worked at Mesa Petroleum as head of security. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. He married Martha Grace Lackey in 1946 at Oakland, Calif. She died in 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Sue Mason and Martha Jo Hunt, both of Amarillo; three sons, George Coffey Jr. of Amarillo, James Michael Coffey of Texhoma and Dwayne Allen Coffey of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, T.R. She was preceded in death by two husbands, O.C. Linzy, in 1949, and Mike Howard Sanders, in 1985. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Sanders; and two sons, Bobbie Sanders and Cecil Don Sanders. Georgia St. Mrs. Mobley was born in Altus, Okla. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1955 and from Centenary College at Shreveport, La., in 1959 with a degree in education. She was a board member of the Greater Southwest Music Festival and a volunteer for the Suzuki Music Program at Amarillo College. Mrs. Mobley was a member of the Polk Street United Methodist Church and the U.P.S. Singles Sunday school class. She married Bill Mobley in 1959 at Amarillo. Mrs. Mobley was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Suzanne Mobley, in 1990. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Nancy Jackson of Amarillo; a son, Mike Mobley of Amarillo; a sister, Nancy Ann Bennett of Amarillo; a brother, Dr. Ted M. Mr. Bell was a civil service employee and had served in the South Pacific theater for the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was an active member of the Paramount Baptist Church. Christesson MELROSE, N.M. - P.P. "Buddie" Christesson, 80, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, in Lubbock, Texas. Mr. Christesson was born in Melrose and was a lifetime resident. During World War II, he served with the Army in Europe. A farmer and rancher, he was a past member and board member of New Mexico Wheat Growers Association and was active in Future Farmers of America. He was a member of Melrose Church of Christ, American Legion Post No. 73 and Melrose Senior Citizens Center. Mr. Christesson married Opal Thrash in 1946 at Vernon, Texas. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry Christesson of Amarillo and Terry Christesson of Melrose; two daughters, Trina McMahan of Rio Rancho and Kim Stallard of Fort Sumner; a brother, Jerry Christesson of Marble Falls, Texas; and eight grandchildren. Graveside services will be by the Masonic Lodge at Sudan Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Terrell was born in Caddo Mills and had lived in Sudan since 1926, moving from Greenville. He graduated from Sudan High School and was a member of the Sudan Masonic Lodge No. 1241. He had worked as a farmer and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mr. Terrell had lived in Creighton for about a year. He was preceded in death by his wife, Veda Marie Terrell, in 1989.
