Mr. Rejino was born in Maxwell. He moved from Shallowater to Muleshoe in 1959. He retired from farming in 1980. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mr. Rejino married Manuela Flores in 1942 at San Marcos. Survivors include his wife; a son, Guadalupe Rejino of Muleshoe; two daughters, Maria Rejino of Muleshoe and Eva Flores of Lubbock; two brothers, Carmen Rejino of Whiteface and Francisco Rejino of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Pampa. Mrs. Horner was born in Muskogee, Okla. She had lived in Skellytown since 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of the Skellytown Church of Christ. She married F.C. "Frosty" Horner in 1942 at Claremore, Okla. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Peggy Ross of Spring; a son, Tommy Horner of Mineral Wells; a brother, Don Evans of Tulsa, Okla.; and a grandson. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 9, 2000 Patsy Spraggins PLAINVIEW - Patsy Spraggins, 71, formerly of Plainview, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, in Deer Lodge, Mont. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Wood-Dunning Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, with Horace Abbott, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park. Miss Spraggins was born near Victory, Okla., and moved to Plainview on a farm in the Halfway community. She graduated from Plainview High School and Plainview Business College. She attended Texas Tech University. She was an employee of Southwestern Public Service Co., retiring from the district office in Lubbock in 1987. Miss Spraggins was a charter member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Plainview and was an adult sponsor of a church youth group. She had worked with the Community Day Nursery, the Cancer Society and the Girl Scouts. In Lubbock, she volunteered at the church and the humane society. She moved to Deer Lodge in 1992. Survivors include a brother, Clyde Spraggins of Carrollton; and a sister, June Getchell of Deer Lodge. Mr. Hill was born in Paris and had lived in Fritch for the past 20 years. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Co. as a maintenance supervisor. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen J. Hill, in 1993. Burial will be in Higgins Cemetery by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors of Canadian. Mr. Rice was born in Lone Wolf, Okla. He graduated from Hart Camp High School. During World War II, he served in the Navy. In 1968 he moved from Dalhart to Higgins. He was a pump operator for Texas Oil & Gas. He married Bettye Jane Bagwell in 1947 at Littlefield. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Eugene Rice, in 1971. Survivors include his wife; a son, Tommy Rice of Amarillo; a daughter, Donna Rice Gulledge of Texarkana; two sisters, Lillie Jarnigan of Littlefield and Ollie Mae Clawson of Bula; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Tinnes Teresa E. Tinnes, 94, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Tinnes was born in Kinross, Iowa. She graduated from Harper High School in Harper, Iowa. In 1952, she moved from Keota, Iowa, to Amarillo. She had worked as secretary to the administrator of St. Anthony's Hospital and as parish secretary at St. Laurence Cathedral. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary. She married Gaylord Tinnes in 1932 at Denver. He died in 1986. Survivors include two sons, Tim Tinnes of Alamo, Calif., and David Tinnes of Montebello, Calif.; and four grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery at Dalhart. Mr. Kerns was born in Borger. In 1956, he graduated from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps B Artillery Unit and served as commander during his senior year. He had been involved in agriculturerelated businesses and was County Agent and 4-H leader. He later worked for Pioneer Hi-Bred and retired as area sales manager this year. Mr. Kerns was a member of the Ag View, the Former Students Association of Texas A&M University and the San Jacinto Baptist Church. He married Marlena Newman in 1957 at Dalhart. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cindy Freeman of Waco and Carol Jost of Bryan; two sons, Steve Kerns of Quincy, Ill., and David Kerns of Yuma, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren. During World War II, he served in the Navy. He owned ABC Cleaners and Laundry in Albuquerque, Country Cleaners in Bosque Farms and Sunshine Cleaners in Belen. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1517 in Albuquerque. He served in local, district and state offices of square dancing clubs in Albuquerque. He had served on the state dry-cleaning board and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 49 in Albuquerque. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Logan. Christian, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Texhoma Cemetery by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Christian was born in rural Clayton, N.M. He graduated from Clayton High School and attended Highlands University at Las Vegas, N.M. He taught school in Union County, N.M. In 1937, he moved to Texhoma. He was a lifetime farmer and rancher. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Mr. Christian married Edith Marie Zortman in 1938. She died in 1995. Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Merry of Texhoma and Shirley Smith of Colcord; his mother, Victoria Christian of Dalhart, Texas; four sisters, Irene Crisp and Pauline Leighton, both of Clayton, Rosa Bookout of Tularosa, N.M., and Nira French of Dalhart; two brothers, Rex Christian of Stratford, Texas, and Gail Christian of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 9, 2000 Elsewhere Lois Kelly MIDLAND - Lois Kelly, 92, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Downtown Church of Christ of Stanton with Ben Mereness, minister of Southwest Church of Christ of Amarillo, officiating. Arrangements are by Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton. Mrs. Kelly was born in Palestine. She married Dale Kelly in 1929 at Stanton. In 1949, they moved from Stanton to Hereford, where they had a farming interest. They later lived north of Panhandle and returned to Hereford in 1962. After retirement, they moved to Amarillo. He died in 1976. She was a homemaker and served as leader in various clubs. She volunteered for the Republican Party and for the Meals On Wheels program. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Church of Christ. She was living in Midland at the time of her death. Survivors include two sons, John Dale Kelly Jr. of Panhandle and Charles Kelly of Huntsville, Ala.; a daughter, Patsy Odom of Stanton; a sister, Billie Simmons of Flower Mound; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
