Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with Dr. Stacy Conner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Childress County. She moved from Ralls to Muleshoe in 1961. She was a bookkeeper at Muleshoe State Bank. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons, Jerry Carpenter of Earth, J.R. Carpenter of Kermit, Kenneth Carpenter of Stanton and Mike Carpenter of Norman, Okla.; four sisters, Bertha Williams of Childress, Pearl Carpenter of Clovis, N.M., Bessie Cope of Amarillo and Ruth Caddell of Ralls; three brothers, Ray Woodard and Gene Woodard, both of Ralls, and Earl Woodard of Childress; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News Nov. 10, 2000 James Carroll Lee PADUCAH - James Carroll Lee, 77, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Hooper, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Paducah Garden of Memories Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home. Mr. Lee was born in Cottle County. He graduated from Paducah High School in 1941. He attended Baylor University from 1941 until 1943 when he joined the Marines. He served on the U.S. Enterprise. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service from 1948 to 1974, serving the last two years as Postmaster. After retirement, he pursued farming and ranching interests. Mr. Lee served on the board of the Paducah Housing Authority and was past president of the Paducah School board and the Paducah Country Club. He was a member of the Veterans Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the First Baptist Church. He married Adelia Perkins in 1946 at Paducah. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronny Lee of Paducah; a daughter, Karen Yoder of Hugoton, Kan.; a brother, Garland Lee of Lubbock; two sisters, Sue Faibre of Las Vegas and Sara Kay Ratliff of Irving; and five grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 10, 2000 Frank Monroe Milligan QUANAH - Frank Monroe Milligan, 91, of Beaverton, Ore., died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Price-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Roelf Ruffner, minister of Chillicothe Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park. Mr. Milligan was born in Madill, Okla. He was a heavy-equipment operator. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Milligan, in 1996. Survivors include two sons, Johnnie Milligan of Fort Worth and Frank Milligan Jr. of Mount Ida, Ark.; a daughter, Rebecca Luetta Milligan of Oregon; three sisters, Berlie Nunn of Fowler, Calif., Genevieve Rahn of Quanah and Flossie Miller of Brookings, Ore.; and grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 10, 2000 Leslie Ferguson LOCKNEY - Leslie Ferguson, 86, formerly of Lockney, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Waco. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Hawkins and the Rev. Phillip Golden, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lockney Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Ferguson was born in Nashville, Ark. He moved to Lockney in 1921. He graduated from Lockney High School and attended Texas Tech. He served on the school board, the Farmers Home Administration, the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service board, the Lockney General Hospital board and the Chamber of Commerce board of directors. He was a Rotarian and was named Man of the Year in 1981. Mr. Ferguson was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he had served as treasurer. He was a retired farmer and moved to Waco in 1997. He married Faye Cook in 1938. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debra Parrish of Redlands, Calif., and Jonita Huffman of Waco; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Price-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Melvin Jester officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park. Mr. Williamson was born in Granbury. He was a mechanic for a milling company. He married Frances Elvie Walls in 1940 at Clovis, N.M. She died in April. Survivors include three daughters, Grace Parker of Quanah, Charlene Johnson of Harrisburg, N.C., and LaNelda Gordon of San Antonio; a son, Floyd Williamson of Mililani, Hawaii; two sisters, Vernel Walls of Dallas and Lucille Jordon of Granbury; three half-sisters, Julie Mae, Mary Ann and Margie Lee; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in City Park Church of Christ with Doug Rainbolt, minister, and Shorty Cardinal officiating. Burial will be in Floydada Cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mrs. Guthrie was born in Pilot Point. She attended schools in Lakeview and graduated from Floydada High School. In 1925, she moved from Pilot Point to Floydada and in 1974 she moved to Seymour, where she lived until 1992. She was a homemaker and had owned and operated a laundromat. Mrs. Guthrie was a volunteer at Spirit of Sharing in Floydada and a member of the City Park Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ed Owens, in 1964. She married S.M. Guthrie in 1973. He died in 1992. She also was preceded by a son, Jimmy Owens, in 1998. Survivors include two sons, Larry Guthrie of Floydada and Rick Owens of Lubbock; two daughters, Linda Bernson of Amarillo and Sue Clark of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, John Hinsley of Henderson; two sisters, Oleta Cardinal of Phoenix and Bernice Washington of Tulia; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She moved from Florence, Ala., to Morton two years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hubert Scifres, in 1993. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Mr. Pipes was born in White Deer. He moved to Shamrock in 1938 and had lived in Amarillo since 1976. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation. "Bill" Fetterman, 71, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Pleasant Valley Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Davey, pastor, and the Rev. L.R. Green, retired Assembly of God minister, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hoosier Cemetery of Kingman, Kan. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Fetterman was born in Liberal, Kan. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1948. During the Korean War, he served in the Army at Sasebo, Japan. He was a carpenter. He was later involved in remodeling and retired in 1996. Mr. Fetterman was a Lutheran. He was a member of the Carpenters Local No. 665, the Disabled American Veterans, the Moose Lodge No. 1361 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 1362 in Pratt, Kan. He married Rozella A. Lord in 1951 at Kingman. He was preceded in death by a son, Tracey B. Fetterman, in 1992. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Alice Loraine Mata and Anna Leona Delgado, both of Amarillo; a son, William Lee "Bill" Fetterman of Amarillo; six sisters, Dorothy Miller of Liberal, Delores Waybright of Lexington, Okla., Deoma Stonestreet of Wilmington, N.C., Delila Walker of Texas City, Dawilla Hardin of Amarillo and Delica Fletcher of Fort Worth; two brothers, John E. Survivors include a daughter, Courtney Priest of Amarillo; a son, Chad Priest Craig of Amarillo; a brother, Robert Whipple of Dallas; and two grandchildren. Private services were held today in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Reinhardt was born in San Francisco and was a longtime resident of Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1970. He was self-employed. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Kwahadi Indian Dancers. He also was a volunteer youth counselor. Mr. Reinhardt married Debby Williams in 1971 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jason Reinhardt and Jarrod Reinhardt, both of Amarillo; his mother and father, Jean and Bob Smith of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in Santigo Paraoquiaro La Campana Cemetery at Durango with the Rev. Rosendo Herrera officiating. Mrs. Rubio was born in Durango and was a longtime resident of California. She had moved to Amarillo four years ago. She worked for IBP inc. Survivors include her children, her mother, brothers and sisters. Amarillo Daily News, Nov. 10, 2000 Oklahoma Jack James Zagar KEYES, Okla. - Jack James Zagar, 79, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Cimarron Mortuary Chapel in Boise City with the Rev. Del Watkins officiating. Mr. Zagar was born in Walsenburg, Colo., and moved to Clayton, N.M., where he graduated from high school in 1939. During World War II, he served in the Navy aboard the USS Altair. He returned to Clayton, where he worked with his parents and later for Colorado Interstate Gas Co. He retired in 1983 as plant repairman. He married Bobbie Ann Christopher in 1952 at Santa Fe, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jack James Zagar II of Schull County, Ireland; two daughters, Cynthia Ann Conner of Keyes and Kimberly Kay Powers of Texhoma; a brother, Bill Zagar of Albuquerque, N.M.; and grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Memorials will be accepted at the funeral home.
