Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Balko Mennonite Brethren Church at Bryans Corner of Balko, Okla., with the Rev. Dewayn Isaac officiating. Burial will be in Balko Mennonite Brethren Cemetery at Balko by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Frantz was born in Beaver County, Okla. She was a lifetime resident of the Balko and Perryton areas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Balko Mennonite Brethren Church and Women's Missionary Circle. She married Roland B. Frantz in 1933 at Balko. He died in 1993. Survivors include two sons, Orlan Frantz and Howard Frantz, both of Balko; two daughters, Mildred Vogt of Denver and Joyce Sawatzky of Creede, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. Amarillo Daily News, Aug. 12, 2000 B.H. Tucker MORTON - B.H. Tucker, 93, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, in Lubbock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Jackson, from Floydada, officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery with Masonic rites. Arrangements are by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Tucker was born in Ratliff, Miss. He had lived in the Morton community since 1929, moving from Grayson County. He was a farmer and member of the First Baptist Church of Morton and the Morton Masonic Lodge. He married Opal Cox in 1932 at Portales, N.M. She died in July. Survivors include a son, Ray Tucker of College Station; a daughter, Shirley Hamlin of Lubbock; a brother, Guy L. Tucker of Columbus, Ga.; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and eight step-greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Daily News, Aug. 12, 2000 Amarillo Joseph Mao Trinh Joseph Mao Trinh, 51, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000. Services will be at 6 p.m. Monday in Our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church with the Rev. Polycarp Nguyen Duc Thuan officiating. Additional services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel at Arlington. Burial will be in Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Arlington. Local arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Mr. Trinh moved to Amarillo in 1979 from Vietnam. He worked for IBP Inc. He served as steward for Local No. 557. He was a member of the Our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church and was a twoterm chair of the board. He also was serving on the Alliance for the Restoration of Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Hoan Nguyen; three daughters, Van Thao Trinh, Da Thao Trinh and Nicole Tu Trinh, all of Arlington; four sons, Thong Trinh, Thai Trinh, Danh Trinh and Hung Trinh, all of Arlington; his mother, Tam Vu; two brothers, Hoa Trinh of Arlington and Tinh Tien "Tong Nguyen" Trinh of Garland; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Assembly of God with the Rev. Roy Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by SteedTodd Funeral Home. Mrs. Stephens was born in Oklahoma. She lived in the Ranchvale and Greer communities until 1950, when she moved to Clovis. She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God. She married J.W. "Shorty" Stephens in 1932. He died in 1994. She also was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Wayne Stephens. Survivors include a son, Bill Stephens of Clovis; three daughters, Beulah Mitchell, Cordie Lockmiller and Peggy Jones, all of Clovis; a brother, Frank Smith of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Lorena Reeves of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Coy Brewer and the Rev. Lewis Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery by Steed-Todd Funeral Home. Mrs. Harper was born in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1936. She worked as a city clerk in Melrose during the 1940s and retired in 1980 as secretary of the Melrose Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Richard Harper in 1937. Survivors include a son, Richard Dalton Harper of Melrose; two brothers, Reuben Rumbaugh of Lubbock, Texas, and Emery Rumbaugh of South West City, Mo.; a sister, Ada Fielden of Melrose; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Melrose. Amarillo Daily News, Aug. 12, 2000 Marvin C. Franz CLAYTON, N.M. - Marvin C. Franz, 77, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors. Mr. Franz was born in Adams, Okla., and was a lifelong resident of Union County. He graduated from high school in Clayton in 1942. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. In 1946, he returned to Clayton and worked for the Farmers and Stockmans Bank until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mr. Franz married Eunice L. Lester in 1956 at Clayton. Survivors include his wife; a son, Marvin C. Franz Jr. of Las Cruces; two brothers, Willie Franz of Granbury, Texas, and Martin Franz of Clayton; a sister, Thelma Stuarti of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; and a granddaughter. Memorial services were Aug. 3 in Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home. Mrs. Ridgell was born in Independence, Kan. She attended North Dallas High School and Southern Methodist University. She was in couture modeling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace C. Ridgell. Survivors include three children, Steven Ridgell, Robert Ridgell and Carol Ridgell; and three grandchildren.
