Burial will be in Bailey County Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mrs. McMath was born in Alvord and moved to Muleshoe in 1960 from Amarillo. She was a homemaker and a licensed and ordained minister. She was a member of New Covenant Church. She married Charles M. McMath in 1922 at Alvord. He died in 1969. Survivors include three nieces, Shirley Foster and Irene Hokett, both of Artesia, N.M., and Nelva Dean Johnson of Port Angeles, Wash.; and two nephews, Claude C. She worked as a presser at Borger Laundry. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She married Billy Hale in 1960 at Borger. He died in 1985. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Seaside Memorial Park at Corpus Christi. Mrs. Strasner was born in Lawton, Okla. She moved to Olton in 1994 from San Angelo. She was a teacher and taught at Methodist Children's School in Corpus Christi. She was a Methodist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She married Stevens Strasner in 1950 at Post. Officiants are her great-grandson, Randy Robertson, and the Rev. Don Wirsdorfer, minister of First Christian Church. Arrangements are by Price-Jackson Funeral Home. Mrs. Campsey was born in Montague County. She lived in Quanah until moving to Childress in 1963. She was a privateduty nurse for Hardeman County Memorial Hospital and Childress Regional Hospital. She was a member of the Goodlett Church of Christ. She married Joseph Edward Campsey in 1925 at Hardeman County. He died in 1963. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Howard Campsey in 1975 and Harold Campsey in 1996. Survivors include a son, Larry Campsey of Quanah; a daughter, Louise Havins of Childress; eight grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild. Cliff Hargrove, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sudan Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of Sudan. Mrs. Knox was born in Direct and moved to Sudan in 1947 from Jacksboro. She was a graduate of Bomarion High School. During the 1960s and 1970s, she owned and operated the Sands Restaurant in Sudan. Mrs. Knox was the cook for the Muleshoe Livestock Auction Barn. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sudan. She married R.B. Knox in 1938 at Seymour. He died in 1995. Survivors include two sons, Jim Knox of Abernathy and Chester Knox of Littlefield; a daughter, Celia Kuykendall of Sudan; three sisters, LuVois McHenry of Mesquite, Ruby Davis of Seagoville and Joyce Rasberry of Dallas; two brothers, Ferrol Ford of Seagoville and Bobby Ford of DeSoto; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Amarillo Daily News, Feb. 12, 2000 New Mexico Viola Marie Anderson TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Viola Marie Anderson, 93, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2000. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Dunn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gene Richardson, Methodist minister, and the Rev. Scott Seymour, minister of Center Street United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson was born in Topeka, Kan. She moved at age 2 to the Obar area with her family and had been a longtime resident of Tucumcari. She retired as a waitress and cashier at Flag Ranch Cafe and Del's Restaurant. She was a member of the Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.A. Anderson, in 1975. Survivors include a daughter, Mabel Smith of Tucumcari; a son, Alfred Bud Anderson of Crosbyton, Texas; two brothers, Willie Greaser of Rio Rancho and Spencer Greaser of Georgia; two sisters, Lenora Baily of Tucumcari and Ida Honey of Franklin, N.Y.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. Thomas HOOKER, Okla. - Robert W. Thomas, 90, of Grove and formerly of Hooker, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kim Alan Domnick officiating. Burial was in Hooker Cemetery by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Thomas was born in New Creek, W.Va. He worked for the Seliness Factory. He then moved to Wichita, Kan., where he was employed as an electrician. Mr. Thomas retired in 1974 and moved to Hooker. In 1997, he moved to Grove. He married Helen Williams in 1932 in West Virginia. She died in 1982. He married Oteka Rodman in 1984 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert W. Thomas Jr. of Bernice; two daughters, Ann B. Krug of Grove and Jean K. Hensley-Ogden of Wichita; two stepsons, Donny Rodman of New Orleans and Terry Rodman of Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, Fredrick Thomas of New Creek, W.Va.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. During World War II, he served with the Army Air Corps in England and Germany. He moved to Amarillo in 1996 from Norco, Calif. He was a carpenter and supervisor of home construction. He was a charter member of Comanche Trails Church of Christ and a member of the carpenter's union. He married Pauline Kyle in 1996 at Amarillo. His first wife, Mildred Norton, died in 1995. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kathy Norton of Los Angeles and Cherise in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Mike Nuthman officiating. Amarillo Daily News, Feb. 12, 2000 Wayland E. Martin Wayland E. Martin, 77, of Amarillo and formerly of Dalhart, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Valley View Church of the Nazarene, 7601 S. Western, with the Rev. Wayne Hicks and the Rev. Phil Daniels officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Dalhart Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart with the Rev. Jimmye Cole, Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., in Amarillo. A native of Dalhart, Mr. Martin graduated from Dalhart High School in 1940. During World War II, he served in the Navy as a pharmacist mate first class and was in the D-Day Invasion. He had been in the grocery business in Dalhart since 1946. Mr. Martin was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Lions Club and Kiwanis Club. In 1991, he moved to Amarillo where he was a member of the Valley View Church of the Nazarene. He married Earlene Comstock in 1948 at Dalhart. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Lynn Martin, in 1978. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cheryl Bettina of Midland; two sons, Mike P. Martin of Dillon, Colo., and Kenneth E. Martin of Jacksonville, Ark.; a brother, Afton Martin of Rochester, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild. Local arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors in Canyon. Mrs. Murray was born in Wister, Okla., and graduated from Big Spring High School. She lived in Midland from 1941 to 1973 and then moved to Blackwell. In Blackwell, Mrs. Murray had been a member of First Baptist Church, Omega Coterie, and Euterpean Ladies Clubs. She had lived in Conner House in Canyon for the past year. She married Curtis William "Bill" Murray in 1940 at Big Spring. He died in 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Kay Baker of Canyon; two sons, Bill Murray Jr. of Jakarta, Indonesia, and Jim Murray of Vernon; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
